Abstract

Building information modelling (BIM) is a system that integrates multi-dimensional aspects of construction project at every phase. Simply said BIM unified all project databases from and to all stakeholders. This system still continuously developed and widely spread on each countries construction projects. In architecture, the BIM has been revolute the human resource requirements on the projects. Indonesia as developing country is still performing transitions from large worker project into more compact projects; from centralized projects into decentralized project. The BIM system has been a mandatory in several Indonesia big infrastructure projects to plan, simulate, design and deliver databases for making more quick decision making and improve the facilities. This paper aim is describing the benefit-challenge factors of BIM adoption on Indonesia architecture projects and the potential driving factors of BIM application. This study was qualitative paradigm with analysis method of selected literatures and previous research paper review which stratified by the cases. The results of this study are BIM bring the high efficiency and represent the complete skills for an architect. However the high initial cost of technology and human investment, the unsupported regulation and conventional system resistant challenged the Indonesia architecture society to adopt BIM. Furthermore the Indonesia architecture education is still struggling to learn and teach the BIM as an integral part in studio as the agent of change.

Abstract

Abstract

The development of residential real estate in Indonesia continues to grow. Although it cannot be denied that the current global economic recession affect the property business, housing development must continue to grow in order to accommodate the population demand. The recent economic conditions make housing developers have to make various innovations for convincing the public to buy their housing units. One of the innovations carried out is to recruit famous architects to collaborate in designing their housing. There are those who collaborate to design housing units in their housing clusters, but there are also those who collaborate since the creation of masterpaln to housing units. Of course, with the hope of cooperating with famous architects will be able to make their housing more pretentious, preferred by consumers, and ultimately bought by consumers. While on the community side, what do they expect by buying a house in housing designed by a well-known architect? Is it because of prestige, is it because of other things? This phenomenon is what makes researchers interested in finding out what the influence of a famous architect on the image of a housing in the eyes of the public. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the design of starchitect.

Abstract

The development of transportation facilities is also important to accommodate the mobility of city residents both by private vehicles and by public transportation. One way to break up the transportation complications is to build an overpass or commonly known as a fly over, and this effort is usually quite successful. However, there is another side that often escapes the government's fly over planning, namely the creation of new spaces under the overpass that are not clearly utilized, so that spontaneously, the spaces that are formed are used "at will" by the community. The purpose of this study is to obtain a variety of shapes and dimensions, as well as where the location of residual space under the fly over, Obtaining community use of residual space under the fly over, Obtaining community behavior in utilizing the residual space under the fly overThis research is a basic research that has a Level of Technology 1 and has a target output in the form of national accredited national journals.
