Abstract

Stunting is a growth and development disorder experienced by children if their height is below the median length based on height for age to exceed -2 SD of WHO standards. The impact of stunting is not only felt by individuals who experience it but also has an impact on the economy and nation-building. This study aims to examine maternal factors associated with stunting, namely early initiation of breastfeeding, exclusive breastfeeding, and maternal age in children under five in Indonesia. The method used in this systematic review is meta synthesis with a meta aggregation. There is a significant relationship between initiation early breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in children under five (p = 0.043, p = 0.006, p = 0.000, p = 0.014, p = 0.000, p = 0.033, p = 0.000), there was no relationship between BMI and the incidence of stunting (p = 0.053, p = 0.930). There is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting (p = 0.000, p = 0.028, p = 0.003, p = 0.001, p = 0.002, p = 0.011, p = 0.033, p = 0.021), there is no significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in children under five (p = 0.985, p = 0.327, p = 0.17). There is a relationship between maternal age and the incidence of underfive stunting (p = 0.001). There was no relationship between maternal age and the incidence of stunting among children under five (p = 0.304, p = 0.438). Journals showed a relationship between early initiation of breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in children under five in Indonesia, 15 journals showed that there was a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in children under five and only 1 journal showed a relationship between maternal age and the incidence of stunting in children under five.

Abstract

COVID-19 merupakan masalah kesehatan yang sampai saat ini masih menjadi perhatian masyarakat. Penyebaran COVID-19 Indonesia sampai saat ini belum berakhir. Hal ini dapat menimbulkan dampak psikologi bagi masyarakat dikarenakan masyarakat diharuskan untuk melakukan aktivitas yang berbeda dari biasanya, dengan peraturan yang telah ditetapkan oleh pemerintah. Namun sampai saat ini masih banyak masyarakat yang kurang sadar akan protokol kesehatan dalam upaya pencegahan COVID-19. Salah satu upaya preventif yang dapat dilakukan adalah mengedukasi masyarakat tentang protokol kesehatan. Menurut beberapa penelitian tentang pencegahan COVID-19 terdapat hubungan antara status demografi dengan perilaku pencegahan COVID-19. Maka, perlu adanya upaya pencegahan COVID-19 yang dilakukan di setiap fasilitas kesehatan termasuk Apotek guna untuk membantu memutuskan rantai penularan COVID-19. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Non probability sampling dengan metode Accidental sampling. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Uji chi square. Hasil analisis menunjukan variable yang terbukti secara statistik berhubungan dengan perilaku pencegahan covid-19 pada konsumen apotek adalah variabel usia (nilai p-value=0,010 nila RP = 10,059 dan nilai (CI) = 2,198-46,024)) dan status pendidikan (nilai p-value=0,001, RP = 29,333, (CI) = (5,962-144,343)). Sedangkan variable lain tidak terbukti secara statistic berhubungan dengan perilaku pencegahan covid-19 pada konsumen apotek di Kota Yogyakarta. Jenis kelamin mempunyai nilai p-value sebesar 0,235, RP = 2,821, nilai (CI) = (0,530-15,019). Karakteristik status pekerjaan nilai p-value yang diperoleh sebesar 1,000, nilai RP tidak muncul. Karakteristik posisi dalam keluarga nilai p-value yang diperoleh sebesar 0,142 RP = 3,273, (CI) = ( 0,685-15,641). Faktor individu yang berhubungan dengan perilaku pencegahan covid-19 pada konsumen apotek di Kota Yogyakarta adalah usia dan status pendidikan.

Abstract

The pandemic of the Covid-19 Virus in the past few years has become a major global problem, because everyone can be infected with the virus. is a major problem in the world, because everyone can be infected with the Corona Virus. covid also affects Non-Early Diseases. This community service aims to provide early detection training to determine the health status of the RW 09 community of North Margahayu Village, Bandung City. The materials provided include health related to pulmonary TB, stress management in women, handling stunting in children, and detecting and preventing breast cancer. This community service activity is carried out through a planning, implementation and evaluation process. With direct implementation in the field in the form of knowledge improvement education activities on September 14 and September 29. Data collection techniques using documentation. The community service carried out went well. It can be seen from the enthusiasm of cadres, mothers and children during the activity.

Abstract

Based on WHO data, globally, the achievement of exclusive breastfeeding is still relatively low (<50%). Pre-lacteal feeding is a challenge for the success of exclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to analyze the relationship between residence in rural and urban areas with the practice of pre-lacteal feeding and the type of pre-lacteal food given. The study use secondary data from Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS)-2017 with a cencus block sample frame from the results of the 2010 population cencus. The variables studied were the subject's residence (rural-urban), pre-lacteal feeding, and the type of pre-lacteal food given. The subjects of this study were 8841 subjects. Data analysis carried out included univariate and bivariate analysis. There was no relationship between residence in rural/urban areas and the practice of pre-lacteal feeding (p>0.05). There was a relationship between residency in rural/urban areas and the type of pre-lacteal food given, namely milk other than breast milk, plain water, sugar water, formula milk, honey, coffee, and other fluids (p<0.001; p=0.003; p<0.001 ; p<0.001; p<0.001; p=0.011; p<0.001). Water, sugar water, honey, and coffee are pre-lacteal foods frequently given in rural areas. Milk other than breast milk and formula milk is pre-lacteal food frequently given in urban areas. Residency in rural/urban areas is not related to pre-lacteal feeding practices but is related to the type of pre-lacteal food given. Suggestion: it is necessary to conduct a national study to analyze the factors related to the types of pre-lacteal food given in rural and urban areas.

Abstract

Adolescent nutritional status reflects health conditions and is influenced by unbalanced diets, including high consumption of ultra-processed foods (UPF). This study aimed to analyze the relationship between total energy intake and frequency of UPF consumption with the nutritional status of adolescents at SMP PGRI Cibaribis, Bandung Regency. The research design used a quantitative observational analytic approach with a cross-sectional design. A sample of 71 students was selected using proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected through the Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) and anthropometric measurements. Bivariate analysis using Chi-square test. Results showed the majority of respondents had high energy intake (36.6%) and frequently consumed UPF (76.1%). However, there was no significant relationship between energy intake and nutritional status (p=0.312) nor between frequency of UPF consumption and nutritional status (p=0.644). This finding indicates that both variables do not directly affect the nutritional status of adolescents. Future research is recommended to include other variables such as physical activity, consumption quality, and lifestyle factors that can affect nutritional status more comprehensively. Abstract

Petani padi merupakan pekerja dengan aktivitas fisik tinggi namun rentan mengalami ketidakseimbangan asupan gizi akibat pola konsumsi yang kurang beragam. Tingginya beban kerja tanpa pemulihan yang memadai kerap memicu kelelahan kronis yang berdampak pada penurunan status gizi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan pola makan dan kelelahan kerja terhadap status gizi pada petani padi di Desa Jayamulya, Kabupaten Indramayu. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 90 petani dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), skala kelelahan kerja Subjective Self Rating Test (SSRT), dan pengukuran antropometri menggunakan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT). Analisis penelitian ini meliputi analisis univariat dan analisis bivariat dengan menggunakan Uji Korelasi Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa petani memiliki status gizi kurang (66,7%), jenis makan tidak beragam (84,4%), jumlah makan kurang (37,8%), frekuensi makan jarang (52,2%), dan kelelahan kerja tinggi (21,1%). Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pola makan dengan status gizi (p=0,000), di mana petani dengan pola konsumsi rendah protein dan sayur cenderung mengalami gizi kurang. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara frekuensi makan dengan status gizi (p=0,041), dimana petani yang memiliki frekuensi makan mengalami gizi kurang. Selain itu, kelelahan kerja juga berhubungan signifikan dengan status gizi (p=0,001). Pola makan tidak seimbang dan tingkat kelelahan tinggi berkontribusi pada status gizi yang belum optimal pada petani padi di Desa Jayamulya. Diperlukan edukasi tentang pola makan dan manajemen kelelahan kerja guna meningkatkan kesehatan dan produktivitas.

Abstract

Anemia in adolescent girls often occurs due to low intake of iron, vitamins, and protein, which can reduce academic performance and quality of life. Boiled eggs are an easily accessible and affordable source of iron and animal protein. This study aims to determine the effect of boiled egg consumption on hemoglobin (Hb) levels in anemic adolescent girls at SMP Plus Baiturrahman in Bandung City. The study design used a quasi-experimental two-group pretest-posttest approach with 50 female students, divided into an intervention group and a control group. The intervention group received one boiled egg daily for 14 days. The results showed that the Hb levels in the intervention group increased from 9.372 g/dL to 10.096 g/dL, while the control group decreased from 13.756 g/dL to 13.668 g/dL. The Wilcoxon test indicated a significant effect in the intervention group (p = 0.000), and the Mann-Whitney test showed a significant difference between groups (p = 0.000). Boiled eggs are effective as a simple strategy for preventing anemia in schools.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan karena kondisi TBC Paru yang menjadi salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat di Bandung. Angka kasus TBC Paru di kota Bandung khususnya kelurahan Situsaeur mengalami peningkatan. Lingkungan padat penduduk, kurang pengetahuan masyarakatnya dan status gizi yang rendah menjadi faktor resiko yang peningkatan kasus TBC Paru. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pengendalian TBC Paru berbasis persepsi sehat dan peningkatan gizi. Metode pelaksanaan melalui penyuluhan kesehatan kepada 34 anggota masyarakat yang tinggal di RW 04 kelurahan Situsaeur. Penyuluhan kesehatan dilakukan di Posyandu dengan metode ceramah, tanya jawab. Media yang digunakan powerpoint dan LCD proyektor.  Hasil kegiatan terjadi perbedaan rata-rata nilai pretest dengan posttest. Nilai posttest meningkat 17,32 poin setelah edukasi. Nilai p = 0.000 menunjukkan peningkatan sangat signifikan. Simpulan dari kegiatan penyuluhan kesehatan yang dilakukan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan. Adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta penyuluhan kesehatan akan membuat peserta lebih mampu dalam mengendalikan TBC Paru karena pengetahuan dapat membentuk persepsi dan perilaku sehat dalam pencegahan penularan, pengobatan TBC dan menjaga status gizi keluarga.
