Abstract

Changes in people's lifestyles are one of the impacts of globalization. Globalization can influence how young people meet the demands of their lifestyle. A hedonistic lifestyle is defined as one that prioritizes pleasure and material satisfaction. Most people believe that lifestyle is important because it can show self-identity. The aim of this article is to explain how effective self-management techniques are in reducing the hedonic lifestyle of students at SMPN 2 Pamekasan with six research subjects. This research uses a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. The data collection methods used in this research were the hedonic lifestyle scale, observation, and interviews. The data analysis technique used is the Wilcoxon signed rank test. The results of the research show that self-management techniques are effective in reducing the hedonic lifestyle of class IX students at SMPN 2 Pamekasan. This can be seen from the asymptotes. The sig (2-tailed) value has a value of 0.008, which is smaller than 0.05 (Ha is accepted).

Abstract

Permasalahan kesehatan mental menjadi hal yang esensial di era VUCA. Tuntutan perkembangan di era VUCA dapat membuat individu menjadi cemas dan tertekan sehingga dapat berdampak pada kesehatan mental mereka. Agar individu terhindar dari permasalahan kesehatan mental, maka perlu ada solusi untuk mencegahnya. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan konseling online (cyber counseling) berbasis nilai agama sebagai upaya mengembangkan kesehatan mental siswa. Metode yang diganakan pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode eksperimen, tepatnya quasi pre-post eksperiment design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konseling online (cyber counseling) berbasis nilai agama dapat megembangkan kesehatan mental pada individu. Cyber counseling dimaksudkan sebagai alternatif model konseling virtual dalam mengembangkan kesehatan mental individu dan tentunya kesehatan mental juga.

Abstract

A hedonic lifestyle is one where every activity is related to pleasure or life satisfaction. One of the factors that influences a hedonic lifestyle is self-control and peer conformity. This research aims to determine the influence of self-control and peer conformity on hedonic lifestyles and to find out how much influence self-control and peer conformity have on hedonic lifestyles in students. The research method used is quantitative research. The location of this research is the Tarbiyah Institute of the Madura State Islamic Religion Faculty. Sampling in this study used a purposive random sampling technique. The respondents in this research were 137 students. Data collection techniques included the Self-Control Scale, the Peer Conformity Scale, and the Hedonic Lifestyle Scale. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS software. The results of this study show: first, self-control and peer conformity influence students' hedonic lifestyles (Ha accepted). The basis for making this decision is the significance value of self-control (0.000 < 0.05) and the significance value of peer conformity (0.001 < 0.05); secondly, the variables self-control (X1) and peer conformity (X2) simultaneously influence the hedonic lifestyle variable (Y) by 42.7%. Meanwhile, it is possible that it is influenced by other variables outside the variables that were not examined in this research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) tingkat literasi kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa, (2) tingkat kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa, (3) pengaruh literasi kesehatan mental terhadap kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa, dan (4) perbedaan tingkat literasi kesehatan mental dan kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa, antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 257 orang mahasiswa yang diambil berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, berupa skala Literasi Kesehatan Mental (Mental Health Literacy Scale / MHLS) dan Inventori Kesehatan Mental (Mental Health Inventory / MHI). Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa pertama, mahasiswa memiliki tingkat literasi kesehatan mental yang beragam, yakni rendah, sedang, dan tinggi, di mana kategori tinggi merupakan jumlah terbanyak diantara kategori lainnya. Kedua, tingkat kesehatan mental mahasiswa sebagian besar berada pada kategori sedang. Meskipun terdapat tingkat kesehatan mental mahasiswa dalam kategori tinggi, namun ada sebagian mahasiswa yang memiliki tingkat kesehatan mental pada kategori rendah. Ketiga, literasi kesehatan mental tidak berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap kondisi kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa. Keempat, tingkat literasi kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa, perempuan lebih tinggi dibandingkan laki-laki, sedangkan tingkat kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa antara laki-laki dan perempuan adalah cenderung sama.

Abstract

Masalah kecemasan akibat pandemi COVID-19 perlu mendapat perhatian khusus untuk diatasi. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah melalui konseling, dengan alternatif pendekatan Rational Emotive Behavor Therapy (REBT). Dalam hal ini, cyber counseling dapat dilakukan karena kondisi sekarang yang mengharuskan untuk physical distancing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ciri atau gejala kecemasan akibat pandemi COVID-19, serta kontribusi pendekatan Rational Emotive Behavor Therapy (REBT) melalui cyber counseling untuk mengatasi kecemasan di masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Purposive sampling digunakan dalam penelitian ini, di mana subyek penelitian adalah konseli yang memiliki masalah kecemasan akibat pandemi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pertama, ciri kecemasan subyek, meliputi aspek fisik, kognitif, emosi, dan perilakunya. Kedua, subyek mampu mengatasi kecemasan yang dialaminya. Ketiga, subyek mampu mengontrol pikiran negatif yang ditimbulkan akibat pandemi. Keempat, subyek dapat lebih menerima kondisi yang terjadi akibat pandemi. Kelima, subyek mampu melakukan kegiatan aktifnya sebagaimana biasanya meskipun terbatas, dengan memperhatikan protokol kesehatan.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling are not limited to age, gender, religion, culture, and place, including within the Islamic boarding school environment. The implementation of guidance and counseling in Islamic boarding schools is an important part of guiding students, especially as an effort to maintain mental health. This research aims to learn about Islamic boarding school-based guidance and counseling services in maintaining mental health. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach, through interviews, observations, and documentation at the Al-Kautsar Islamic Boarding School in Pamekasan-Madura. The research results show: that, first, there is no specific guidance and counseling program in Islamic boarding schools like in formal schools, but guidance and counseling services are provided incidentally and conditionally and are based on Islamic boarding school values. Forms of guidance and counseling services consist of study, social, personal, and career guidance and counseling for students who have problems. Apart from that, there are coaching activities to guide students. Second, guidance and counseling services and coaching activities for students are an effort to maintain their mental health. Third, the guidance or coaching activities provided are provisions for students for the future, especially for final-year students. ____________________________________________________________________Bimbingan dan konseling tidak terbatas pada usia, jenis kelamin, agama, budaya, dan tempat, termasuk dalam lingkungan Pesantren. Penerapan bimbingan dan konseling di Pesantren menjadi bagian penting dalam memberikan pembinaan kepada santri, terutama sebagai upaya untuk menjaga kesehatan mental. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengengetahui layanan bimbingan dan konseling berbasis Pesantren dalam menjaga kesehatan mental. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumenrasi yang dilakukan pada Pondok Pesantren Al-Kautsar di Pamekasan-Madura. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: bahwa, pertama, tidak ada program bimbingan dan konseling secara khusus di Pesantren seperti di Sekolah formal, namun layanan bimbingan dan konseling diberikan secara insidental dan kondisional, serta berlandaskan nilai-nilai Pesantren. Bentuk layanan bimbingan dan konseling, terdiri atas bimbingan belajar, sosial, pribadi, karir, dan pelaksanaan konseling kepada santri yang memiliki permasalahan. Selain itu terdapat kegiatan-kegiatan pembinaan untuk membimbing santri. Kedua, layanan bimbingan dan konseling dan kegiatan pembinaan kepada santri merupakan upaya untuk menjaga kesehatan mental santri. Ketiga, kegiatan bimbingan atau pembinaan yang diberikan merupakan bekal bagi santri untuk masa yang akan datang, terutama bagi santri tingkat akhir.

Abstract

Mental health problems can be an obstacle to achieving psychological well-being. Mental health problems are susceptible to being experienced by anyone, including teenagers. Teenagers tend to be unable to understand their mental health condition and potential. The aim of this research is to find out: the creation and development of the SAKERA (Self-care, Knowing Excellent Potential and Realizing Dreams) application, teenagers' response (interest) in the Sakera application, and use of the Sakera application to help identify mental health problems and personal potential in adolescents. This research is research and development (R&D). The subjects in the research were 17 students at MA Al-Djufri Pamekasan. The results of this research and development show that, first, the Sakera application is "very suitable" to be used as an alternative application to determine mental health problems and the personal potential of teenagers. Second, teenagers' response (interest) in the Sakera application is in positive or high criteria. Third, the Sakera application can help to identify mental health problems and personal potential in teenagers. This research contributes to the use of mental health applications that can be used as an alternative in detecting early indications of mental health problems and identifying one's potential.

Abstract

Satu tahun berlalu Pandemi melanda bangsa ini, ini segala upaya telah dilakukan oleh pemerintah untuk memutus mata rantai penyebaran virus ini, seperti pemberlakuan PSBB (pembatasan sosial berskala besar) pada daerah-daerah tertentu. Namun, upaya-upaya tersebut sampai saat ini belum mampu membuahkan hasil manis. Permasalahannya adalah sebagian besar masyarakat acuh dan lalai memperhatikan dan mematuhi protokol kesehatan, seperti menggunakan masker, menjaga jarak, dan mencuci tangan. Karenanya, diperlukan sebuah solusi alternatif pemecahan permasalahan tersebut, yaitu melalui pendekatan budaya lokal (indigenous). Konseling indigenous diyakini dapat mengkonstruk pandangan masyarakat untuk memandang realitas dan permasalahan kehidupan berdasarkan keyakinan dan budayanya sehingga mampu menyadarkan masyarakat untuk mematuhi protokol kesehatan dan bahaya Covid-19. [One year after the pandemic hit this nation, all efforts have been made by the government to break the chain of spreading this virus, such as the imposition of PSBB (large-scale social restrictions) in certain areas. However, these efforts to date have not been able to produce sweet results. The problem is that most people are ignorant and neglect to pay attention to and comply with health protocols, such as wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands. Therefore, we need an alternative solution to solving these problems, namely through the local cultural approach (indigenous). Indigenous counseling is believed to be able to construct people's views to view the realities and problems of life based on their beliefs and culture so that they can make people aware of compliance with health protocols and the dangers of Covid-19.]

Abstract

Knowledge of culturally influenced emotionality is an important set of knowledge for culturally responsive counseling practice. Culture influences the perception, control, and expression of emotions not least within counselling where much emphasis is laid on sensitivity to cultural norms and values. The purpose of this research is to describe forms of emotional languages in Madurese culture and discuss the implications for culturally responsive counseling. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, where data is obtained through literature review, interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study show that the Madurese people manifest their feelings to others directly (blak-blakan) and indirectly using symbolic language with the values of dignity (martabat), propriety (tengka), patience (sabbhar), and social solidarity. An understanding of these ways of communicating emotions is critical in counseling for the development of therapeutic relationships that are both effective and culturally sensitive. The study suggests the need for integrating more empathy, contextually and culturally sensitive training approach that takes into consideration local value system as well as the need to tailor interventions to reflect local cultural sensitivities as a way of improving the effectiveness of psychological support.
