Abstract

The aim of the service is to train the skills of teachers and students in recognizing, designing and using the set of practical tools in the Integrated Science KIT based on the Independent Curriculum. To train teachers and students in strengthening basic science concepts according to the basic concepts related to the available science KIT. To train science KIT teachers and participants on the components of each existing Science KIT set/box and relate them to existing basic science concepts. to train teachers' skills in assembling or assembling science KIT tools. To train the skills of teachers and students in using the KIT Science tool. To train the skills of teachers and students in designing experiments according to the existing Science KIT. To train the skills of teachers and students in using the Science KIT set as a learning medium. To be an accompaniment to the use of Science KIT in learning. The method in PkM activities uses training methods. The results of PkM activities have a positive impact on teachers and students in the use of science practicum laboratory equipment at Muhammadiyah Langsa High School

Abstract

Practicum modules are needed during the practical learning process activities that can be used by teachers and students. Science literacy must be mastered by students, because it is related to the environment. Science literacy is assessed from three aspects namely content, process and context. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility test and practical test of practicum modules based on science literacy for science learning in SMP Negeri 1 Langsa. This type of research is research and development which is modified into three stages of research implementation with the module trial stage developed in the form of research and information gathering, module design phase and module development stage with documentary study data collection techniques, questionnaires, and experiments. The scores obtained will be processed using descriptive analysis by conducting a feasibility test by material and media experts consisting of biology education lecturers while the practicality test uses a questionnaire distributed to students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Langsa on Natural Sciences subjects. The results showed that the IPA practicum product modules analyzed consisted of three categories: the percentage value of the highly valid aspects with a value of 78% on the module quality element, while the practicality test consisted of three aspects namely the content, process and context aspects of the results of the three aspects. The percentage value of 82.8% of the aspects of positive student response content that practicum modules are used is very practical. Based on the values obtained that the IPA practicum module is feasible and practically used as a practical guide.

Abstract

Purpose: This community service aimed to address challenges PKK members face in Sungai Pauh Pusaka Village, including a need for knitting skill training and knowledge. The goal was to empower these members with practical skills to create knitting products, enhancing their self-sufficiency and village development. Method: The project involved stages like preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Coordination with the PKK head set the schedule. Training included tools and material introduction. Satisfaction surveys gauged participant motivation. Practical Applications: The practical applications of this community service initiative are noteworthy. It has empowered PKK members with valuable knitting skills, making them more self-sufficient and capable of creating knitting products. These newfound skills can be applied in various real-world scenarios, potentially leading to economic opportunities for the participants and contributing to the development of Sungai Pauh Pusaka Village. Conclusion: The initiative achieved an 80.0% satisfaction rate, highlighting the success of University Samudra's knitting skill training in empowering PKK members and benefiting the community.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap ketertarikan menambah waktu belajar Fisika, dimana siswa tertarik ingin lebih tahu tentang pelajaran Fisika dengan memanfaatkan waktu luangnya. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik survey. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen angket yang diberikan kepada Responden. Hasil penelitian menyatakan pada indikator Kognisi, sikap siswa terhadap indikator kognisi tergolong Baik, yang berarti bahwa siswa memiliki pemahaman/keyakinan tentang mamfaat pelajaran Fisika. Kemudian pada indikator Afeksi, sikap siswa juga tergolong Baik, yang berarti bahwa memiliki rasa senang terhadap pelajaran fisika. Pada indikator Konasi menyatakan sikap siswa Cukup, yang berarti bahwa sikap siswa terhadap kecendrungan untuk bertindak terkait dengan pelajaran Fisika tidak begitu baik. Dalam hal ini guru perlu mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi sikap siswa terhadap kecendrung melakukan suatu tindakan pada pelajaran Fisika misalnya, siswa tidak ingin mempelajari kembali tugas yang diberikan oleh guru, pembahasan soal-soal Fisika atau bahkan siswa kurang tertarik melakukan demontrasi terhadap alat Fisika.

Abstract

This community service activity is motivated by the importance of utilizing, revitalizing, and optimizing existing potential and resources, then processing that potential into a finished product with added economic value, whose benefits will be felt by the PKK Geudubang Jawa, Langsa Baro District, Langsa City. The purpose of this activity is to increase the capacity of PKK members in three important aspects. First, to increase the knowledge and skills of members in managing the potential of village land in an organized and long-term manner, so that the land can become a resource with economic value. Second, to increase PKK productivity by providing knowledge and skills in processing raw materials from village land into finished products that are ready to be sold, so that the PKK can have independent output products. Third, to increase the economic independence of PKK members through entrepreneurship training, business management, and product marketing, to ensure economic sustainability for PKK Geudubang Jawa. The methods used include socialization, training, mentoring, and evaluation. The results of PKK empowerment activities through the cultivation of this living pharmacy have had a significant positive impact on community welfare in various aspects, both in terms of health, environmental management, and family economic empowerment. One of the significant economic impacts of this activity is the development of local products based on medicinal plants. From the cultivation of medicinal plants, members of the PKK Geudubang Jawa have succeeded in processing herbal tea products called Teh Rempah. This tea is a mixture of local spices such as ginger, lemongrass, turmeric, and galangal, which are processed into ready-to-brew herbal drink products. Teh Rempah is now a leading product sold in the local market and provides new economic opportunities for PKK members. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya memanfaatkan, merevitalisasi dan mengoptimalisasikan potensi serta sumber daya yang ada, kemudian mengolah potensi tersebut menjadi suatu produk jadi bernilai tambah ekonomis yang manfaatnya akan dirasakan oleh PKK Geudubang Jawa Kecamatan Langsa Baro, Kota Langsa. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kapasitas anggota PKK dalam tiga aspek penting. Pertama, meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota dalam mengelola potensi lahan desa secara terorganisir dan berorientasi jangka panjang, sehingga lahan dapat menjadi sumber daya bernilai ekonomis. Kedua, meningkatkan produktivitas PKK dengan memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengolah bahan baku dari lahan desa menjadi produk jadi yang siap dijual, sehingga PKK memiliki produk luaran yang mandiri. Ketiga, meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi anggota PKK melalui pelatihan kewirausahaan, pengelolaan usaha, hingga pemasaran produk, untuk memastikan keberlanjutan ekonomi bagi PKK Geudubang Jawa. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan pemberdayaan PKK melalui budidaya apotek hidup ini telah memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan bagi kesejahteraan masyarakat diberbagai aspek, baik dari segi kesehatan, pengelolaan lingkungan, maupun pemberdayaan ekonomi keluarga. Salah satu dampak ekonomi yang signifikan dari kegiatan ini adalah pengembangan produk lokal berbasis tanaman obat. Dari hasil budidaya tanaman obat, anggota PKK Geudubang Jawa berhasil mengolah produk teh herbal yang dinamakan “Teh Rempah”. Teh ini merupakan campuran dari rempah-rempah lokal seperti jahe, serai, kunyit, dan lengkuas, yang diolah menjadi produk minuman herbal siap seduh. Teh Rempah kini menjadi produk unggulan yang dijual di pasar lokal, dan memberikan peluang ekonomi baru bagi para anggota PKK.

Abstract

Gampong Sungai Pauh Pusaka Kecamatan Langsa Barat Kota Langsa merupkan lokasi sasaran kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat pada tahun 2021 yang dilaksanakan oleh tim pengabdian. Bunga lavender sangat bermanfaat dijadikan parfum pewangi pakaian. Sebab itulah tim pengabdian termotivasi untuk membuat parfum laundry kepada mitra sebagai peserta pelatih. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini berupa pelatihan bagi Ibu PKK yang akan dilatih untuk membuat produk parfum laundry aroma bunga lavender. Metode kegiatan ini berupa metode pelatihan yang terdiri beberapa tahapan yaitu survey, pelatihan serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini berdampak positif bagi Ibu PKK yang akan dijadikan produk unggulan daerah dan usaha pendapatan penghasilan gampong.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to develop e-books based on PjBL model instructional design integrated with scientific literacy to improve students' critical thinking skills. To find out the feasibility validation test of e-books based on the instructional design of the PjBL model integrated with scientific literacy. To find out the E-book Effectiveness test on Critical Thinking Ability. The method to be used in this research is to use the research and development (R&D) method. The research stages are determining the material, preliminary research, analysis, design creation, material creation, initial product development, valid, feasibility test, valid, practicality test. The research data is in the form of feasibility test data by validators and the effectiveness of E-books. In critical thinking skills, the research results show that the feasibility test obtained from validation by material experts and biology teachers is reviewed based on presentation, content and language components obtained an average value of due diligence of 92.50% which is in the category very feasible to use. Meanwhile, the results of the N-gain test on the level of students' thinking abilities after using this e-book obtained a score of 0.80% in the good category in improving critical thinking abilities

Abstract

Learning tools need to be implemented in today's learning innovations. Currently the government is implementing a new curriculum with a new policy in the form of scientific literacy learning. This learning focuses on daily problem-solving activities related to natural science. Therefore, there is a need for teacher innovation in developing E-Module teaching materials as a form of modern learning application. The purpose of this study was to determine the emergence of scientific literacy in science e-module learning tools. The method in this research using descriptive method. The results of this study indicate that the e-module used by teachers is related to content aspects worth 84% which is stated as good, process aspects with a percentage worth 78% stated well and in terms of context with a percentage of 81%. related to the emergence of scientific literacy while the results of interviews with science teachers indicated that the science e-module learning tools used had scientific literacy in each science material
