Abstract

Unemployment at a young age is influenced by the Labor Force Participation Rate ( TPAK ). In addition, the Labor Force Participation Rate is also very influential on the economy in Indonesia. The thing that affects this TPAK is the ability of the region to create or produce jobs. Expansion of employment opportunities is also expected from the government to overcome this low Labor Force Participation Rate. Expansion of employment opportunities can be done by creating/developing programs that can support the hard skills and soft skills of the work force. The government can provide certified skills training that is recognized by companies. The government should encourage more young entrepreneurs to establish MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) so that new job opportunities are also more open. The Covid-19 pandemic has made MSMEs play an important role in Indonesia's GDP with a contribution that reaches 61% and is able to absorb 97% of the workforce from the total absorption of the national workforce. Specifically for the City of Padang, based on the results of simple linear regression analysis, it was found that there is a strong relationship between the variable number of labor force and the number of MSMEs in Padang City where the conclusion of the regression statistics for multiple R is 0.82 which indicates that the independent variable (number of labor force) has a strong relationship with the dependent variable (number of SMEs). Based on the results of this simple linear regression test, it was found that R Square was worth 0.67. This shows that the resulting regression equation can be said to represent the existing conditions where y = 334333.21 - (0.67 * number of labor force). This can be seen from the R square value which is greater than 0.5 and close to 1

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan judul "The Entrepreneur Mind: Menjajaki Peluang, Tantangan, dan Risiko dalam Dunia Bisnis Online" bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam mengidentifikasi peluang, mengatasi tantangan, dan mengelola risiko yang ada di dunia bisnis online. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Prodi Teknik Industri Universitas Adzkia Padang. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi sesi diskusi, presentasi, dan studi kasus yang melibatkan 137 peserta dari mahasiswa, dosen, dan praktisi bisnis. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta memperoleh wawasan mengenai strategi inovatif yang dapat diterapkan dalam bisnis online serta teknik-teknik untuk mengantisipasi dan mengatasi berbagai hambatan yang mungkin dihadapi. Hasilnya diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif dalam pengembangan kemampuan wirausaha peserta dan mendorong terciptanya lebih banyak inisiatif bisnis yang sukses di era digital.

Abstract

In various fields, including the selection of Student Activity Units on campus, Decision Support Systems (DSS) have become an important tool to assist the decision-making process. SPK provides information and analysis that is structured and easy to understand, thereby helping decision-makers to choose SMEs that best suit their interests, talents, and goals. Choosing the right Student Activity Units for students can contribute to the development of their personal qualities and help develop a variety of social and professional skills. Using the Certainty Factor method in creating a Decision Support System to assist students in choosing Student Activity Units that are most relevant to their desired interests and talents. The Certainty Factor method is an artificial intelligence technique that can overcome uncertainty in data and provide a level of confidence in every decision. Based on trials carried out on several interest and talent characteristics using the Certainty Factor method, percentage results were obtained with a confidence level of 80.26%. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the expert system created can make it easier to determine talent interests that match student desires.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of understanding the factors influencing the net profit of Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) in West Sumatra Province, particularly in the context of the number of employees and the number of companies. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of the number of employees and the number of companies on the net profit of BUMD using multiple linear regression methods. The data used in this study were sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the period from 2013 to 2022. The results of the analysis indicate that the regression model is overall significant with an R2 adjusted value of 0,537, meaning that 53,7% of the variation in net profit can be explained by the number of employees and the number of companies. However, the individual effects of the number of employees and the number of companies on net profit are not statistically significant at the 95% confidence level. The conclusion of this study is that the number of employees and the number of companies collectively influence the net profit of BUMD, although the impact of each variable is not strong enough individually.

Abstract

Tingkat kesadaran siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) akan pentingnya kuliah dapat bervariasi tergantung pada konteks sosial, lingkungan sekolah, dan informasi yang mereka terima. Sebagian siswa SMK mungkin memiliki pemahaman yang terbatas tentang manfaat dan relevansi pendidikan tinggi terhadap kemajuan karir dan kehidupan pribadi mereka. Hal ini bisa disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan tentang opsi pendidikan lanjutan setelah lulus dari SMK, prioritas keluarga, atau perbedaan budaya di lingkungan mereka. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan motivasi kepada para siswa SMK untuk dapat melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seminar tersebyt berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMK tentang peran dan manfaat pendidikan tinggi dalam mengembangkan karir serta kehidupan pribadi mereka. Selain itu, peserta seminar menunjukkan minat yang tinggi untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi setelah lulus dari SMK. Kesimpulannya, seminar ini dapat menjadi instrumen yang efektif dalam meningkatkan akses dan partisipasi siswa SMK dalam pendidikan tinggi serta mempersiapkan mereka untuk masa depan yang lebih cerah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis postur tubuh pekerja di bagian pengemasan garam menggunakan metode Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA). Metode ini dipilih karena kepraktisannya dalam mengevaluasi ergonomi tanpa alat khusus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi lapangan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pekerja di bagian pengemasan menghadapi risiko cedera ergonomi tinggi, terutama pada postur tubuh bagian atas seperti lengan, leher, dan punggung. Skor RULA yang diperoleh adalah 7 untuk kelompok A (lengan atas, lengan bawah, dan pergelangan tangan), yang mengindikasikan risiko sangat tinggi dan memerlukan perbaikan segera, serta 6 untuk kelompok B (leher, punggung, dan kaki), yang memerlukan penanganan lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan untuk meningkatkan ergonomi kerja, sehingga dapat mengurangi keluhan fisik pekerja dan meningkatkan produktivitas.

Abstract

Online Business Training for High School Students: Fostering the Spirit of Digital Entrepreneurship aims to provide understanding and skills in online business to the 12th-grade students of SMA Negeri 4 OKU, who are about to graduate. The issue addressed in this study is the lack of understanding among students about digital entrepreneurship and the lack of skills in managing online businesses. This research uses a direct training method with topics on the basics of online business, using e-commerce platforms, and digital marketing strategies. The results of the community service activities show that after attending the training, most students experienced an increased understanding of online business and felt more confident to start their own digital ventures. Qualitative analysis indicates that students felt more motivated and had a more positive outlook on entrepreneurship after gaining practical knowledge about online business. Additionally, there was a shift in students' mindset towards viewing digital business opportunities as a viable career alternative after graduation. This training successfully fostered the spirit of digital entrepreneurship among students and had a positive impact on their readiness to enter the workforce or become entrepreneurs
