Abstract

This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of fourth grade students of SDN 002 Langgini in the 2022/2023 school year, totaling 26 students. Critical thinking is an active consideration that is continuous and thorough about a belief or form of knowledge that is taken for granted by including supporting reasons and rational conclusions. This research method is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in 2 learning cycles. Each cycle consists of 2 meetings and 4 stages of learning, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research time was carried out in May 2023. Data collection techniques in the form of documentation, observation and tests. The results of critical thinking skills of grade IV students of SDN 002 Langgini in cycle 1 meeting 1 with a percentage of learning completeness of 35% and in cycle 1 meeting 2 increased with a percentage of learning completeness of 46%. In cycle 2 meeting 1 also increased with a percentage of 61% learning completeness and in cycle 2 meeting 2 increased again with a percentage of 84% learning completeness. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the Social Science Inquiry learning model can improve the critical thinking skills of fourth grade students of SDN 002 langgini.

Abstract

Abstract Technology that is increasingly rapidly developing encourages all parties to compete to create or develop better technology, and has great benefits and efficiency. In these moving activities, an efficient, practical and economical means of transport is needed to facilitate the transfer process. The objectives of this research are: 1. Applying Benchmarking method in the design of adjustable roller conveyor. 2. Analyze the function and material components, and record the advantages and disadvantages. This research was conducted using the Benchmarking method, the results of this study were in the form of product designs and products for adjustable roller conveyors as material transferers. The conclusions of this study are: 1. Design of an adjustable roller conveyor based on benchmaking with two Roller conveyor tools, this tool is very well suited and very easy in the transfer process, especially for materials that are very far away. 2. The manufacture of adjustable roller conveyors has gone through an analysis process in terms of function, and the component materials used are in accordance with the aspects that have been designed with the advantages and disadvantages made.

Abstract

Penelitian ini latar belakangi oleh teknik dasar passing yang dilakukan oleh beberapa siswa tidak tepat dalam pelaksanaannya. Sepak bola merupakan salah satu cabang olahraga yang sangat populer didunia, dengan jumlah yang dimainkan oleh 11 orang dengan tujuan mencetak gol kegawang lawan, setiap pemain memiliki tugas dan peran yang sama yaitu harus mampu menyerang dan bertahan dengan baik. Passing merupakan salah satu teknik yang sering dipakai dalam permainan sepak bola. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode latihan small sided gemes terhadap kemampuan passing sepak bola pada siswa kelas VI SDN 013 Tanjung Berulak Airtiris Kabupaten Kampar. Manfaat Penelitian dapat mengetahui dan menambah ilmu dalam cabang olahraga sepak bola khususnya teknik dasar passing. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimental dengan One Group yaitu Pre-test dan Post-test Design. Teknik pengambilan data secara purposive sampling dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Pengukuran gerakan dalam penelitian ini dengan tes kemampuan passing kaki bagian dalam. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji normalitas Saphiro Wilk dengan nilai output statistik “Test Statistic”, diketahui Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) bernilai 1,000. Karena nilai 1,000 > dari 0,05. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa “terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan skor pre test dengan skor post test.

Abstract

One of he essential aspects of learning mathematics is concept udestanding. Students need to understand the basic concepts of mathematics well. Concept of understand ability is often an obstacle or same student so innovative learning approaches ae needed to help students overcome these obstacles. The mathematical conceptual understanding ability of fifth-grade students at UPT SDN 019 Muara Uwai is still relatively low. This can be seen from the learning outcomes, which show that most students have not yet mastered mathematical concepts thoroughly. The low level of conceptual understanding affects students’ overall learning achievements. This study aims to improve the mathematical conceptual understanding ability of fifth-grade students at UPT SDN 019 Muara Uwai by implementing an appropriate learning approach. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. The subjects of this study were all fifth-grade students, totaling 15 students. Data collection techniques used in this study included interviews, observations, documentation, and tests. The collected data were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Based on the research results, in the first meeting of Cycle I, only 9 students (60%) achieved the minimum mastery criteria with an average score of 68. In the second meeting of Cycle I, the number of students who met the criteria increased to 11 students (73,33%) with an average score of 76. In the first meeting of Cycle II, 13 students (86,67%) achieved mastery with an average score of 80. This increased further in the second meeting of Cycle II to 14 students (93,3%) with an average score of 85. Based on these results,it can be concluded that application of the STAD learning model wih the help of the corner clock can improve the concept understanding ability of fifth-grade students of Muara Uwai 019.
Optimization of Ultrasonic-Assisted Extraction of Curcuminoids from Temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb.) Using Response Surface Methodology Yusnira; Kasman Ediputra

Abstract

Temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb.) is a native Indonesian medicinal plant that has a lot of curcuminoids with strong pharmacological activity. However, traditional extraction procedures don't always work well or provide good quality extracts. The goal of this research is to find the best way to get curcuminoids out of temulawak utilizing ultrasonic-assisted extraction (UAE) and response surface methodology (RSM). The Box-Behnken Design was used to optimize the process with three independent variables: ultrasonic power (200–400 W), extraction duration (20–60 minutes), and the ratio of material to solvent (1:15–1:35 g/mL). We used validated HPLC to look at curcuminoids, the DPPH technique to measure antioxidant activity, and a second-order polynomial model to look at the data. The mathematical model shows a good fit (R² = 0.9847), with all variables having a significant impact on the curcuminoid yield. The best results were achieved with an ultrasonic power of 354 W, an extraction time of 52 minutes, and a material to solvent ratio of 1:22 g/mL, leading to a total curcuminoid yield of 23.4±0.6 mg/g of simplicia and an antioxidant activity IC₅₀ of 31.2±1.1 μg/mL. The enhanced UAE process gave 8.4 times more yield than maceration and took 28 times less time to extract. The improved UAE is a quick and long-lasting way to get curcuminoids out of temulawak with a high yield and high-quality extract. This study gives scientists the information they need to create turmeric extraction technologies on an industrial scale to help Indonesia's pharmaceutical and nutraceutical businesses.
