The form of respect results in rituals that are believed and still consistently performed by the community. The famous rituals are puja tampa, puja kariwaya, farming ritual, marriage ritual and death ritual. In the implementation of rituals, there are values that can control the social life of the people of Juhu Village. The existing values produce a community order that has strong emotional bonds. The emotional bonds are naturally built due to the similar responsibilities of each member of the community. In addition, the indigenous people in Juhu Village are able to fulfil their needs independently, so they are not so dependent on the outside community. Overall, it can be said that the indigenous community in Juhu Village is a community bound by mechanical solidarity.

Likewise, the wages received, both men and women receive the same amount of wages, namely 60 thousand to 65 thousand per day. Working in agriculture is an occupational choice that many women in Marampiau Village make. Apart from the favourable environmental conditions, the factor of their husbands working as farmers also encourages them to work to help their husbands. The presence of an industry will always have an impact on society, both positive and negative impacts. The research aims to determine the impact of the presence of oil palm plantations on the socio-economic conditions of the Balanti Village community. The research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The theory used is the theory of social change according to Kingsley Davis (Soekanto, 2015). The research results show that the presence of oil palm plantations in Balanti Village has an impact on the socio-economic impact of the community. The presence of plantations has an impact on increasing income and permanent income. Before the establishment of oil palm plantations, the community's main job was as farmers and since the presence of oil palm plantations, the community has been able to improve their housing, and their level of education has increased. The presence of oil palm plantations does not have much influence on the social life of the community, for example, social interaction and the community culture of mutual cooperation have not disappeared but have changed, especially in terms of time. With so many people working on oil palm plantations, most community meetings are only held in the afternoon. It is hoped that companies will always make a big contribution in supporting the economic progress of village communities and it is hoped that the community will not ignore the habits that exist in the community.

This can be seen from how both online media show repeated emphasis that focuses on the development of the Rempang Eco City Project compared to the ongoing conflict. Online media in reporting an event, behind it has a certain purpose with various aspects that are highlighted to be understood by readers. Thus, the result of reality that has been processed by the media can be favourable to one party and detrimental to the other. Therefore, it is important for readers to use other sources in accessing information to get a different perspective.
