Abstract

Village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) aim to manage village assets and potential to improve community welfare. One of the business units managed is the Pandansili swimming pool, which is a tourist attraction and plays a role in improving the village economy. However, its management still faces challenges, such as limited professional human resources and lack of innovation. Therefore, a strategy is needed to strengthen human resources as well as the application of sharia economic principles that emphasize justice in wealth distribution. This research aims to: (1) to identify the role of BUMDes in improving the economy of the Ngampungan Village community, Bareng Subdistrict, Jombang Regency, and (2) to identify the role of BUMDes in improving the economy of the Ngampungan Village community, Bareng Subdistrict, Jombang Regency from the perspective of sharia economic law. This research uses an empirical juridical approach with a conceptual approach and applies inductive and descriptive methods. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, documents. The findings through interviews with the head of Ngampungan Village, Mr. Rohan, and the BUMDes administrator, Mr. Kusnadi, show that BUMDes plays an important role in improving the community's economy, especially through the management of Pandansili swimming pool tourism. Since joining in the management of tourism, the community has experienced economic improvement, both as employees, traders, and parking attendants. Initially, around 10% of the community was classified as economically weak, but since the tourism, this figure has decreased by around 4%. The application of sharia economic principles, such as fairness in wealth distribution and transparency in profit sharing, allows the community to actively participate in tourism management, thereby improving the welfare of Ngampungan Village

Abstract

The study discussed the analysis of expressive utterences found in the lyrics of the song "Love You Like a Love Song" by Selena Gomez and became one of the hits in the music world. The purpose of this study is to examine whether there is a match between song lyrics and the expressive expressions conveyed. Song has an important role as an expressive medium because it is able to convey messages and emotions effectively. The research used descriptive qualitative, namely by analyzing the text and contextual approach to understand the meaning of song lyrics and their effect on listeners. The results of the analysis of expressive utterences in the lyrics show their suitability with the theme of the song and the communicative purpose of conveyed true love. The conclusion of the study is to provide an overview of how the lyrics of the song describe feelings of love expressively through the used of symbolic words and melodies that touch the heart.

Abstract

This study explores the use of the Logico Maximo game as an interactive medium to support vocabulary acquisition among young EFL learners at ILC English Course. Data was collected through student questionnaires, interviews with a fellow teacher and course manager, and classroom observation using a descriptive qualitative methodology. According to the results, Logico Maximo creates a more expanding, interesting, and enjoyable learning environment. The game's sensory and visual elements were well received by the students, encouraging active engagement and enhancing vocabulary memory. Nevertheless, the study also noted a varietyof difficulties, such as differing student comprehension levels, time management issues, and practical limitations in game implementation. Despite these issues, both the teacher and stakeholders viewed the game as an effective tool for enriching vocabulary learning. The results support previous research on the benefits of game-based learning in EFL contexts, particularly for early learners who thrive on multimodal and play-based instruction. It is suggested that future implementations include task differentiation and additional support mechanisms to accommodate learners with diverse needs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare Kahoot, Quizizz, and Wordwall on student learning outcomes in reading classes. The urgency of this research was to provide references for educators in choosing gamification platforms that are effective for improving learning outcomes and efficient for use as assessment media. This research was comparative quantitative research with a true experimental design. The data analysis technique used was one-way ANOVA with a sample of 57 students. The results stated that there were differences in student learning outcomes that were gamified via Kahoot, Quizizz, and Wordwall. This hypothesis was taken because the analysis results in the ANOVA table show a significance value of 0.013 <0.05, meaning that there are differences in student learning outcomes, so the H1 hypothesis was accepted and the H0 hypothesis was rejected. Furthermore, the results of the post hoc test analysis state that Quizizz was more effective in improving student learning outcomes compared to groups that are gamified via Kahoot and Wordwall. This was evidenced by the average learning outcomes in the Quizizz group of 9.00, which were the highest compared to the Kahoot and Wordwall groups.

Abstract

SDN-1 Tarung Manuah merupakan pendidikan formal yang ada di Desa Tarung Manuah yang memiliki beberapa siswa yang masih belum bisa membaca secara lancar dan ruang perpustakaan yang tidak memadai.  Sehingga fokus penelitian ini adalah pada peningkatan minat baca pada anak usia Sekolah Dasar di Desa Tarung Manuah. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan minat baca dan semangat belajar anak-anak Sekolah Dasar Desa Tarung Manuah.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Strategi pelaksanaan kegiatan ini terdapat 4 tahapan yaitu pertama Pra-Kegiatan, yaitu melakukan kordinasi di lokasi pengabdian, kedua Tahap Persiapan, yaitu mempersiapkan bahan kegiatan, ketiga Tahap Pelaksanaan, yaitu melaksanakan kegiatan lapak  baca, keempat Tahap Refleksi, yaitu refeksi/evaluasi dan memberikan rekomendasi terhadap kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan. Hasil dari kegiatan lapak baca di Desa Tarung Manauh yaitu dapat meningkatkan minat baca anak-anak SDN-1 Tarung Manuah dengan dibuktikannya antusias peserta yaitu 97% sangat setuju dapat membangun semangat membaca dan 3% setuju dapat membangun semangat membaca. Serta akan membiasakan diri untuk membaca setelah kegiatan lapak baca ini yaitu, 80,6% sangat setuju dan 10,4% setuju.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Keberadaan Pasar Modern Puncak Permai Darmo Terhadap Omset Penjualan Pedagang Dipasar Tradisional Darmo Satelit Surabaya dan apa saja pengaruhnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di pasar tradisional darmo satelit. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif karena indikator pengaruh variabel X terhadap variabel Y. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel accidental. Metode penelitian regresi linier sederhanadengan menggunakan bantuan IBM SPSS v.16.0. Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara Keberadaan Pasar Modern Puncak Permai Terhadap Penjualan Pedagang Dipasar Tradisional Darmo Satelit. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil perhitungan nilai thitung> ttabel (8.797> 000. ). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa jika thitung> ttabel maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak berpengaruh signifikan,dengan demikian Keberadaan Pasar Modern Puncak Permai berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Omset Penjualan Pedagang Dipasar Tradisional Darmo Satelit Surabaya

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Augmented Reality (AR) Assemblr EDU learning media on the science and social studies (IPAS) learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Elementary School. A quantitative approach with quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was employed. The research subjects consisted of 44 fifth-grade students, with 22 students in the experimental group and 22 students in the control group, selected through total sampling. Data were collected using cognitive test instruments that had been validated for reliability and validity. Data analysis included normality testing (Shapiro-Wilk), homogeneity testing (Levene), hypothesis testing (Independent Sample T-Test), and N-Gain analysis. Results showed that the experimental class average posttest score (93) was higher than the control class (79). The Independent Sample T-Test yielded t = 5.567 with significance <0.001, indicating a significant difference between both groups. The N-Gain value of the experimental class reached 70.35% (high category), while the control class obtained 40.22% (medium category). It is concluded that the use of AR Assemblr EDU media has a positive and significant effect on improving IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students on the topic of Getting to Know Our Earth.

Abstract

This classroom action research investigates the effectiveness of Wayground Quiz in improving the grammar mastery of eleventh-grade students at a senior high school. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting stages. The participants were eleventh-grade students whose main difficulties included the use of tenses, subject–verb agreement, and pronouns. Data were collected through grammar tests, classroom observations, and students’ questionnaires. The results indicate that the implementation of Wayground Quiz significantly enhanced students’ grammar achievement as well as their motivation and participation in learning. Quantitatively, students’ mean grammar scores improved from 65.50 in the first cycle to 82.15 in the second cycle, showing a 25.42% increase and surpassing the minimum mastery criterion. Qualitative findings from observations and questionnaires reveal that students became more active, confident, and enthusiastic during grammar activities. They responded positively to the digital quiz features such as immediate feedback, time limits, and competitive elements, which made grammar practice more engaging and less monotonous. The study concludes that integrating Wayground Quiz into grammar instruction can effectively improve students’ grammar performance and create a more enjoyable and interactive learning environment for senior high school students

Abstract

English proficiency plays a crucial role in preparing vocational high school students for careers in the tourism sector. However, discrepancies still exist between classroom instruction and workplace demands. This study aims to explore students’ perceptions of the importance of English in the tourism industry and factors influencing these perceptions. Using a qualitative descriptive research design, data were collected through open ended questionnaires and semi interviews with twelfth grade students of the Tourism Department at SMK Airlangga. The data were analyzed through organizing, coding, categorizing, and interpreting emerging themes. The findings indicate that students generally perceive English as an essential skill for communicating with foreign tourists and supporting future employment in tourism related fields. Internal factors such as motivation and self confidence, along with external factors including school learning activities, contribute to shaping students’ perceptions. The study concludes that contextual and application-based English instruction is necessary to align vocational education with tourism workplace requirements.
