Abstract

CV. Suka Bersama is an MSME (Micro, Small Medium Enterprises) in plastic straws (pipettes) manufacture. The main materials used in the process of making this pipette are polypropylene and dye which consists of three colors, namely yellow, green, and red. Currently CV. Suka Bersama only used estimates in raw materials purchasing. If the raw materials ran low in the warehouse, then CV. Suka Bersama had to reorder raw materials based on use, so it often had the unavailability and excess stocks in the warehouse. Where there was excess, there would be additional costs, and if there was less, production would be hampered. One way that could be used to overcome this was by applying ordering raw materials using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method which was used to determine the number of orders or purchases that might be made and how many quantities might be ordered. So that the total costs in the sum of ordering and storage costs were a minimum, raw material inventory control and how to apply the economic order method, safety stock reorder point, and total cost in controlling raw material inventory. By calculating the raw material inventory issued by the company was Rp. 4,429,969 while using the EOQ method was Rp. 979,110 of the total cost of raw material inventory was more efficient using the EOQ method with a difference of Rp. 3,450,859.

Abstract

Service quality is the most important factor for the bank so that the Bank can keep surviving and developing. Every day the number of customers development is increasing so that the service quality and customer satisfaction must be prioritized. The way to improve service quality is trying to find out customers' desires, where the Fuzzy Servqual (Service Quality) and QFD (Quality Function Deployment) methods were used in improving the quality of bank services. The purpose of this research was to design a service improvement proposal at Bank Mandiri KCP Medan Citra Garden by using Fuzzy Servqual and QFD. In this study, a survey was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents from Bank Mandiri KCP Medan Citra Garden based on data processing performed using the Fuzzy Servqual method, for designing improvement proposals using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. The level of customer satisfaction at Bank Mandiri KCP Medan Citra Garden was lower than the importance level of affected factors in customer satisfaction at Bank Mandiri KCP Medan Citra Garden which needed to be more improved was the Tangible dimension (Physical Evidence) shown in the comfort and security of the location and parking lot provided with a score of -13.17. Furthermore, that had to be maintained on the Tangible dimension (Physical Evidence) was shown in the bank officers' appearances who were always neat and wore masks and gloves with a score of 4.496 at Bank Mandiri KCP Medan Citra Garden. Thus, it was recommended to Bank Mandiri KCP Medan Citra Garden to further improve service performance on all services.

Abstract

The Use of Moodie Young Method in Balance of Light Bulb Production Line. Line production is a part of production activity which including set of working element works and working area. Several balance constraints on the production line are sometimes occurred in a company who runs in light bulb production, such as a bottleneck in the production process and accumulation of material at work stations due to the high idle times, also a gap in cycle time between the production times of each work station. The study employed the Moodie Young method by measuring three parts of balanced production line level, including Line Efficiency, Balance Delay, and Smoothness Index. The result pointed out that the actual production line values are Line Efficiency 43.69%, Balance Delay 56.30%, and Smoothness Index 703.64. The result also stated that there are improvement of the production line values by using Moodie Young method, which are values of Line Efficiency 76.46%, Balance Delay 23.53%, and Smoothness Index 279.39. To sum up, the high value of line efficiency and the low values of balance delay and smoothness index presents a good level of balanced the production line.

Abstract

Universitas X, which is a private university, annually accepts new student registrations with fluctuating numbers over the last 10 years. The supply of lecture equipment did not match the number of new students who registered. Therefore, it is necessary to forecast the number of new students in the future, so that the supply of lecture equipment can be met. The purpose of this study is to determine the need for new student lecture equipment for the coming year using the double exponential smoothing forecasting method, find out the level of safety stock for the lecture equipment needs for the coming year, knowing the amount of inventory for lecture equipment using the forecasting method taking into account the safety stock in the coming year. The forecasting method used was the Double Exponential Smoothing method and determined safety stock as the safety stock for lecture equipment. The results showed that number of student for A.Y 2021/2022 was 2374 people and for A.Y 2022/2023 was 2.424 people with a total safety stock of 710 bukus. With a service level of 90%, the total supply of manuals for A.Y 2021/2022 is 3.084 bukus and for A.Y 2022/2023 was 3.134 bukus.

Abstract

Pabrik tahu Putri Deli saat ini merasa kesulitan di dalam mengolah limbah cair, limbah yang dihasilkan perusahaan hanya dibuang ke selokan di daerah kerja perusahaan yang berpotensi mencemarkan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan limbah tahu menjadi suatu produk yang bernilai jual yaitu menjadi pupuk organik cair (POC). Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan menggunakan metode Green Engineering. Dengan mengimplementasikan alternatif pengolahan limbah cair secara biologi, maka limbah cair pada pabrik berkurang, yaitu menjadi produk yang bernilai guna dan ekonomis. Penelitian ini menunjukan hasil pengolahan limbah cair tahu menjadi pupuk organik cair (POC) yang dapat dipergunakan untuk pertanian dan bernilai jual.

Abstract

CV. X merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang aktivitas utamanya adalah memproduksi air minuman dalam kemasan (AMDK). Perusahaan ini mulai dibangun pada tahun 2003 dengan status berbadan hukum berbentuk UU dilengkapi dengan surat izin dari pemerintah daerah. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganilisis kelayakan Investasi Pada CV.X apakah usaha ini layak untuk dijalankan atau tidak. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer (teknik wawancara dengan pihak yang dapat memberikan informasi untuk penelitian ini ) dan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari studi kepustakaan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode Analisis yang digunakan adalah kriteria kelayakan investasi yang terdiri dari Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Periode (PP) dan Net Benefit Cost (Net B/C) sebagai metode penilaian investasi dari aspek keuangan. Bedasarkan hasil analisis kelayakan investasi dari aspek finansial menunjukkan pengembangan usaha ini layak dijalankan dan dikembangkan dengan umur usaha selama lima tahun pada tingkat discount ratenya sebesar 18%. Hal ini disebabkan besarnya payback period (PP) sebesar 1 Tahun 5 Bulan 26 Hari, net present value (NPV) sebesar Rp.209.140.829, net benefit cost (Net B/C) sebesar 1,69, internal rate of return (IRR) sebesar 25,37% dan break event point (BEP) sebesar Rp. 94.538.822.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah membawa dampak pesat dan menyentuh berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat di seluruh dunia, termasuk dalam hal jual beli. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman dari pengguna e-commerce shopee. Penelitian yang dilakukan bersifat kualitatif. Adapun pengambilan data menggunakan penyebaran kuesioner. Sedangkan untuk teknik pengolahan data yang digunakan adalah metode SWOT. Analisis SWOT dilakukan dengan matrik internal strategic factor analisis summary (IFAS) yang mendeskripsikan factor – factor kekuatan dan kelemahan perusahan dan matrik eksternal strategic factor analisis summary (EFAS) yang mendeskripsikan factor – factor peluang dan ancaman perusahaan. Dari hasil matrik internal strategic factor analisis summary (IFAS) mendapatkan score 3.47 dan untuk matrik eksternal strategic factor analisis summary (EFAS) mendapatkan score 3.68. Disini dapat dilihat marketplace shopee berada di posisi yang cukup kuat karena memiliki score diatas 3. Sehingga dari pemetaan matrik internal dan matrik eksternal menunjukkan bahwa marketplace Shopee berada ada kuadaran I yang memiliki kekuatan dan keunggulan. Dan strategi yang harus dilakukan ialah mendukung pertumbuhan progresif.

Abstract

Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM) Al-Azhari Medan merupakan perpustakaan masyarakat sebagai sarana literasi yang terbuka untuk umum dan memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung kegiatan belajar dan membaca masyarakat. Namun tata kelola administrasinya masih menghadapi kendala akibat penggunaan sistem pencatatan pengunjung yang masih manual. Hal ini berdampak pada rendahnya keamanan data, inefisiensi penyimpanan, serta beban kerja ganda (redundant work) dalam rekapitulasi pelaporan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan memodernisasi tata kelola tersebut melalui pengembangan dan implementasi Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan Pengunjung Berbasis Web yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan mitra. Melalui metode pengembangan sistem serta pelatihan dan pendampingan intensif, kegiatan ini berhasil menggantikan mekanisme buku tamu konvensional dengan platform digital yang terintegrasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi mitra dalam mengoperasikan sistem secara mandiri, mulai dari input data hingga otomasi laporan statistik, yang secara bersamaan meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, kecepatan akses data historis, serta menjamin akurasi dan keamanan data administrasi di TBM Al-Azhari.
