Abstract

The research aims to investigate how mindfulness impacts work engagement through the lens of meaningfulness at work. The research aims to be beneficial for the scientific field of organisational psychology and can serve as a valuable resource for organisations looking to manage human resources from a positive psychology standpoint. This research uses a quantitative approach with a non-experimental research design, and is a type of correlational research. This study is about human resources professionals who work in the education field. Quota sampling is the method used for the sample. Also, subjects were chosen from teachers at all levels, from elementary to high school, with as many topics as possible coming from 150 teachers. The Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS), the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES), and the Work and Meaning Inventory (WAMI) scale are the three types of study tools that have been shown to be valid and reliable. A study of 150 teachers in East Java found that mindfulness had a significant negative effect on work participation through meaningful mediation. This effect was 47.8%. When the teacher's mindfulness is low, work engagement will be high, and when it's high, mindfulness will be low, work engagement will be high. There are a lot of things that can change the effects of these three variables. Some of these are teacher welfare, which includes benefits, salary, and job security, and teaching experience, which is linked to the number of years worked as a teacher.

Abstract

The innovative work behaviour of teachers is critical in creating a dynamic learning environment, increasing student engagement and motivation, and encouraging professional development. Innovation not only benefits students but also helps teachers develop and adapt to face challenges in the world of modern education. Quality of work life is assumed to influence innovative behaviour at work but does not influence it directly. Therefore, this research uses happiness as a mediator variable. This research aims to determine the influence of quality of life on teachers' innovative behaviour, which is mediated by happiness at work. The research subjects were 119 people who worked as teachers in primary, junior, secondary and senior secondary schools. The instruments used are the quality of work-life scale, happiness at work scale and innovative work behaviour scale. Data analysis uses regression analysis techniques with mediation. The results show no direct influence of the quality of work life on innovative behaviour at work. However, it was found that happiness at work fully mediates the influence of the quality of work life on innovative behaviour at work. The expected implication is to make teachers feel happy by increasing the quality of life at work.

Abstract

People with disabilities have limitations in doing daily activities, especially at work. The existing limitations make  their self-efficacy less than optimal. Social support gives them a feeling of being valued, cared for, and recognized, giving them encouragement that they can do their job well despite their limitations. A less supportive environment and low confidence of people with disabilities can prevent them from getting a decent job. This can happen when people with disabilities do not have  good social support and self-efficacy. The purpose of this study is to see if there is a relationship between social support and self-efficacy in workers with disabilities. The number of participants in this study was 61 subjects consisting of 55 people with physical disabilities and 6 people with cognitive disabilities. The results of this study show that there is a relationship between social support and self-efficacy in workers with disabilities. Subjects tend to have  moderate self-efficacy despite receiving  high social support. It is hoped that from this research, the community, especially policy makers, can improve their understanding of people with disabilities and create a more inclusive environment
