Abstract

The Assessment Institute for Foods, Drugs, and Cosmetics of the Indonesian Ulama Council (LPPOM MUI) is responsible for conducting research, evaluations, and determining the halal status of products in accordance with Islamic teachings. In Indonesia, where religious diversity is prevalent, the halal certification process is crucial, particularly due to differences in the halal status of certain foods, such as beef and pork, across religions. One of the challenges in this process lies in ensuring a rapid and accurate determination of various types of meat, including beef, pork, goat, and buffalo, which currently tends to be time-consuming within the LPPOM MUI Halal Center. To address this issue, there is a need for a technological solution that can quickly and accurately identify different types of meat, thereby reducing consumer uncertainty when selecting halal products. This study aims to develop an Android-based application utilizing the Learning Vector Quantization 3 (LVQ3) method to facilitate the classification of meat types by analyzing patterns specific to beef, pork, goat, and buffalo. This system is expected to expedite the halal verification process, thereby supporting more efficient and accurate decision-making in the halal certification sector.

Abstract

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are systems that integrate geographic data with non-geographic data, allowing users to visualize, analyze and interpret spatial information more efficiently. This research aims to design and implement a Geographic Information System (GIS) that is effective and easy to use to map the location of tourist attractions and determine the shortest route to these destinations in Central Tapanuli Regency using the Dijkstra algorithm. This GIS allows tourists to visualize, analyze and access spatial information related to tourist locations and get recommendations for the best routes based on distance, travel time and road conditions. This system consists of an admin interface to manage tourist attraction data, nodes, and path graphs, as well as a user interface to view tourist lists, galleries, and search for nearby routes. The implementation of GIS and the Dijkstra algorithm is expected to improve the tourist experience, facilitate travel planning, and increase accessibility to tourist destinations in Central Tapanuli Regency, so that tourism potential in the area can be optimized and encourage regional economic growth.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has significantly simplified the process of accessing essential information. Alongside the increasing population in Serdang Bedagai Regency, there has been a consistent expansion in the construction of public facilities. However, the extensive geographical area of this region poses challenges in providing accessible routes to these facilities. This study aims to implement the A* (A-Star) algorithm within a mobile-based Geographic Information System (GIS) to optimize the mapping and routing of public facilities in Serdang Bedagai Regency. By leveraging the A* algorithm, the application provides users with the most efficient and shortest routes to their desired destinations. This application is designed for easy integration with commonly used smartphones, allowing residents and tourists to navigate public facilities with greater convenience. The GIS-based platform also serves as a valuable tool for local governments to manage and analyze the distribution and accessibility of public infrastructure. The results demonstrate that the implementation of the A* algorithm effectively enhances route optimization by considering both distance and heuristic evaluations. This research contributes to improving public access to essential facilities while addressing geographic challenges within the regency.

Abstract

Penggunaan media penyimpanan yang efektif dan efesien sangat didambakan oleh semua orang, ukuran besar dan kecilnya sebuah document sangat mempengaruhi media penyimpanan dan juga ketika pengiriman document juga mempengaruhi kecepatan pengiriman. Dengan memanfaatkan beberapa metode Kompresi kita dapat memperkecil ukuran pada sebuah Document. Beberapa diantaranya adalah metode Huffman dan metode Dynamic Markov Compression dimana pada penelitian ini akan membahas mengenai perbandingan dari metode Huffman dalam melakukan proses Kompresi dan Dekompresi dengan metode Dynamic Markov Compression menggunakan file text yang berjenis (.pdf). Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa metode huffman lebih baik didalam melakukan proses kompresi document dibandingkan dengan metode Dynamic Markov Compression. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari kompleksitas waktu dan nilai rata-rata rasio kompresi Huffman 57.97%  pada metode Dynamic Markov Compression 57.41%.

Abstract

Abstract: The rapid development of technology makes people very dependent on digital-based information needs. The use of information technology is very helpful for humans to achieve high effectiveness, this applies in all fields including animal husbandry. Technological developments can facilitate many things, including in several livestock program services in the form of submitting proposals, reports on livestock development and insemination. Where the Food Security Service of Serdang Bedagai Regency still reports on these activities using physical evidence that has not been integrated in the system, making it difficult for the agency and breeders to monitor or see every stage of the ongoing activity process, not to mention the risk of lost or damaged files, reports that accumulate or so on. In addition, the lack of information obtained by farmers regarding livestock programs is one of the reasons for the author to build a livestock monitoring information system using the Laravel framework and implement the Firebase realtime database in it, with the aim of improving the quality of service to farmers, especially those in Serdang Bedagai Regency. Keyword: Information System, Monitoring, Website, Firebase Abstrak: Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat membuat orang-orang sangat bergantung dengan kebutuhan informasi yang berbasis digital. Penggunaan teknologi informasi sangat membantu manusia untuk mencapai efektifitas yang tinggi, hal ini berlaku di semua bidang termasuk bidang peternakan. Perkembangan teknologi dapat memfasilitasi banyak hal, termasuk dalam beberapa pelayanan program peternakan berupa pengajuan proposal, laporan perkembangan ternak dan inseminasi. Dimana Dinas Ketahanan Pangan Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai masih melakukan pelaporan atas kegiatan-kegiatan tersebut dengan menggunakan bukti fisik yang belum terintegrasi didalam sistem, sehingga menyulitkan pihak Dinas maupun peternak dalam memantau atau melihat setiap tahap dari proses kegiatan yang berlangsung, belum lagi resiko hilang atau rusaknya berkas, laporan yang menumpuk atau lain sebagainya. Selain itu minimnya informasi yang didapat oleh para peternak mengenai program-program peternakan menjadi salah satu alasan penulis untuk membangun sistem informasi monitoring peternakan dengan menggunakan framework laravel dan mengimplementasikan firebase realtime database di dalamnya, dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kepada para peternak khususnya yang ada di Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai. Kata kunci: Sistem Informasi, Monitoring, Website, Firebase

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi yang pesat telah mengubah berbagai bidang, termasuk sektor pendidikan, di mana kebutuhan akan informasi yang akurat dan cepat sangat penting. Di SMP Negeri 3 Tanah Putih, pengolahan data akademik masih dilakukan secara manual dan menggunakan aplikasi perkantoran yang memiliki banyak keterbatasan, seperti risiko kehilangan data dan ketidaksinkronan antar file. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, maka dilakukanlah penelitian yang bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan Sistem Informasi Akademik berbasis web menggunakan framework Laravel. Laravel dipilih karena kemudahan penggunaannya, fitur-fitur yang kaya, serta fleksibilitas dalam pengembangan aplikasi web. Sistem ini diharapkan mampu mengelola data akademik seperti data siswa, guru, kelas, nilai, dan absensi secara efektif, sehingga meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan data di sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Sistem Informasi Akademik berbasis web ini mampu meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan data, memudahkan akses bagi berbagai pihak, serta mendukung tercapainya tujuan pendidikan dan peningkatan kualitas layanan di SMP Negeri 3 Tanah Putih.

Abstract

Implementasi Cloud Computing dalam Sistem Informasi Manajemen Pelayanan Kantor Desa Ulumamis Situnggaling adalah penelitian yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas pelayanan administrasi di desa tersebut. Pemilihan topik ini didasarkan pada kebutuhan akan sistem yang terintegrasi dan mampu mengelola data secara optimal, mengingat saat ini proses pengolahan data di kantor desa belum terorganisir dengan baik sehingga menghambat kinerja dan kualitas pelayanan publik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi riset kebutuhan sistem, pengumpulan dan analisis data, serta perancangan dan pembuatan sistem berbasis web menggunakan teknologi cloud computing. Pengumpulan dan analisis data bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang relevan dan akurat guna mendukung perancangan sistem. Setelah itu, dilakukan perancangan dan pembuatan sistem berbasis web yang menggunakan teknologi cloud computing untuk memastikan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan dapat diakses dengan mudah, aman, dan efisien Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap kualitas pelayanan publik, mampu meningkatkan kecepatan dan akurasi dalam pengolahan data serta mempermudah proses pelayanan administrasi kepada masyarakat. Sehingga dengan adanya sistem informasi manajemen berbasis website ini, data dapat diakses secara real-time dan terpusat, sehingga mengurangi risiko kesalahan dan kehilangan data. Selain itu, sistem ini juga memungkinkan integrasi yang lebih baik antar berbagai bagian administrasi, sehingga proses kerja menjadi lebih efisien dan terkoordinasi.

Abstract

The development of digital technology, especially digital multimedia, can change the way people do business. The development of social media and the sophistication of new applications offer endless opportunities for product marketing. Product marketing strategy is needed to increase competitiveness. One of the marketing strategies is attractive advertising media. This community service aims to improve the ability of home industry entrepreneurs who are members of the Medan IPEMI (Indonesian Islamic Entrepreneurs Association) organization to promote their products through advertising media. This activity teaches women entrepreneurs how to use the Kinemaster app to create product ads with visually appealing content. The resulting media is in the form of moving advertisements in short duration video formats.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to implement the use of NoSQL cloud based database in the design of geographical information systems for the distribution of Bantuan Dana Desa disbursed by the government of the Republic of Indonesia, which is currently not owned by the Deli Serdang District Government, so that the distribution of Bantuan Dana Desa cannot be accessed by the wide community. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) through the stages of Information Collection, System Design, System Validation, System Repair and Production Systems. This study produced a geographic information system to map the distribution of Bantuan Dana Desa in the Deli Serdang district by implementing a NoSQL cloud based non-relational database. Through this research, it can be concluded that NoSQL cloud based database is able to become one of the data storage solutions in the geographical information system of Bantuan Dana Desa in Deli Serdang district, the database using NoSQL has high flexibility, scalability because the data is stored in large amounts and continues to grow every year as long as the policy on Bantuan Dana Desa continues and has a High Performance compared to other relational databases.

Abstract

Retail businesses, particularly hardware stores, often encounter challenges in order management such as delayed deliveries, inaccurate stock tracking, and limited information transparency factors that hinder operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This study proposes a web-based order management system utilizing Progressive Web Apps (PWA) technology, developed with the Next.js framework. The Periodic Review System (PRS) method is implemented to calculate reorder points based on actual demand and safety stock levels. System development follows the Waterfall model, with data collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and literature review. Testing confirms that the application enhances stock accuracy, minimizes delivery delays, supports offline access, and meets SEO performance standards. The implementation significantly improves operational efficiency and holds promise for boosting customer loyalty. The study concludes that PWA-based digital systems are practical, scalable solutions for the MSME sector, with future potential for integration of AI, CRM, and real-time analytics.
