Abstract

Poligamy has been a sensitive issue and a heated debate among ulamas, Muslim scholars, and interpreters of the Qur’an since a long time ago. There are three opinions on interpreting verses considered as the source of law on poligamy and which is written in the books of  the Qur’anic exegeses. Firstly, the group of interpreters who allow poligamy absolutely and extremely flexible. Secondly, the group of interpreters who allow poligamy but under very strict requirements. Thirdly, the group of interpreters who reject and prohibit and even consider poligamy as an unlawful act for any reasons. Within such a context Shaykh Mushthafā al-‘Adawī  wants to give a full explanation about the understanding on poligamy especially that is related to the concept of equality in the poligamy by interpreting qur’anic verses  which are understood controversially by using the  methode of interpreting the Qur’an with other verses of the Qur’an, sound narration, munāsabah al-ayāt (interralated quranic verses), and the context of the verse of poligamy itself.---Poligami telah menjadi isu sensitif dan perdebatan sengit antara para ulama, ilmuwan Muslim, dan penafsir Alquran sejak dahulu kala. Ada tiga pendapat dalam menafsirkan ayat-ayat yang dianggap sebagai sumber hukum tentang poligami dan yang ada dalam kitab-kitab tafsir Alquran. Pertama, kelompok penafsir yang mengizinkan poligami dan sangat fleksibel. Kedua, kelompok penafsir yang mengizinkan poligami namun memiliki persyaratan yang sangat ketat. Ketiga, kelompok penafsir yang menolak dan melarang dan bahkan menganggap poligami sebagai tindakan melanggar hukum karena alasan apapun. Dalam konteks seperti itu, Syekh Mushthafā al-'Adawī ingin memberikan penjelasan lengkap tentang pemahaman poligami terutama yang berkaitan dengan konsep kesetaraan dalam poligami dengan menafsirkan ayat-ayat qur'an yang dipahami secara kontroversial dengan menggunakan metode untuk menafsirkan Qur'an dengan ayat-ayat Al Qur'an lainnya, narasi yang baik, munāsabah al-ayāt, dan konteks ayat poligami itu sendiri.

Abstract

This study is an extension research of previous research finding conducted by researcher and team, which resulted in more than 50 names of mosques and musalas in Padang were considered error. These forms of error exist in terms of morphological, semantic, morphology and semantic contexts and imla’ rules. However, to explain these errors more compre­hensively, a sociopragmatic viewpoint is required. In this context, it can be assumed that in understanding a word or language, the socio­logical context of the speaker and its use in determining and choosing certain symbols in their language are necessary to be considered. The phe­nomenon of naming a house of worship such as a mosque and musala cannot be separated from social context of the owners of the place of worship. This frequently causes pragmalinguistic failure in under­standing the phenomenon of language which only relies on how to express language structurally, following the rules exclusively without giving attention to the social and cultural context of the speaker itself. This research is a field research which applies qualitative methods. The main data is obtained through interviews with mosques and musalas administrator and also the surrounding community to find out the historical and socio-cultural background of naming the mosques or musalas. The data of this study are all the names of mosques and musalas in Padang, especially those 50 names that are considered error from the perspective of Arabic grammar.Keywords: Sociopragmatics, mosque, musala, Padang Kajian ini adalah kelanjutan dari temuan peneliti dan tim yang dalam penelitian sebelumnya mendapatkan kesalahan pada lebih dari 50 nama masjid dan musala yang ada di kota Padang. Bentuk-bentuk kesalahan tersebut ada dalam konteks morfologis, semantic, morfologis dan semantic serta kaidah imlai’. Akan tetapi, untuk menjelaskan kesalahan tersebut secara lebih komprehensif diperlukan sudut pandang sosiopragmatik. Dalam konteks ini bisa dipahami bahwa pemahaman sebuah kata atau bahasa haruslah memperhatikan konteks sosiologis penutur dan pengguna­nya dalam menentukan dan memilih simbol tertentu dalam bahasa mereka. Tidak terkecuali tentunya penamaan sebuah rumah ibadah seperti masjid dan musala yang juga tidak bisa dilepaskan dari konteks sosial masyarakat yang menjadi pemilik rumah ibadah tersebut. Hal ini yang seringkali menjadi penyebab kegagalan pragmalinguistik dalam memahami feno­mena bahasa yang hanya bertumpu pada bagaimana mengungkapkan bahasa sesuai aturan tanpa memberikan perhatian kepada koteks sosial dan cultural penutur itu sendiri. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, di mana data utama diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan pengurus masjid dan musala dan juga masyarakat sekitar untuk mengetahui latar belakang historis dan sosio-budaya penamaan masjid atau musala mereka. Adapun data pene­litian ini adalah semua nama masjid dan musala yang ada di kota Padang, khususnya yang dianggap keliru dalam sudut pandang tata bahasa Arab yaitu kurang lebih 50 masjid dan musala.Kata Kunci: Sosiopragmatik, Masjid, Musala, Padang

Abstract

This research aims to explain the strategic communication used by King Salman at the United Nations General Assembly. A qualitative-explanatory design was applied to study King Salman's two speeches at the UN General Assembly in 2020 and 2021. Data collection was carried out through the stages of transcription, reading, printing, tabulation, coding, and classification. Meanwhile, data analysis that follows the framework of the form and function of illocutionary speech acts is carried out through the stages of description, selection, analysis and interpretation, and conclusion. The results show that there are four types of speech acts in King Salman's speech. The author found assertive speech acts in 47 data (49.5%), directive in 15 data (15.8%), commissive in 5 data (5.2%), and expressive in 28 data (29.5%). These forms of speech acts have various functions aimed at communicating the strategic dimensions of Saudi Arabian policy. Politically, the form and function of these speech acts seek to emphasize and improve Saudi Arabia's bargaining position in international geopolitical dynamics.

Abstract

The cause of this research discussed is the many problems of interest to readers of middle eastern news on several YouTube channels. His research aims to describe the text of the Middle East conflict news study Wacana Theo Van Leeuwen Discourse. Descriptive methods are used as a type of research. The data obtained is a sentence in the main news text of the Middle East conflict on YouTube. The researcher himself performs the instrument. In the data collection technique using the recording technique, one of them is orthographic sorting power.  The results of his research are the first, in writing the comments of the audience, writing words by bringing up parties who have the authority to be involved in the news. Second, not all of Leeuwen's theories are contained in news texts. Third, Leeuwen's approach is described in the news text of the Middle East conflict based on the speech conveyed.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the forms of information reproduction in online mass media, with specific issues on Middle East conflicts. The present study adopts a qualitative descriptive model. The data were collected from the news reports on the Syrian conflicts by some leading online news platforms such as Republika, Kompas and Tempo. The data were taken from January to October 2018 and were analyzed using the qualitative analysis stages of the Miles and Huberman model. The research findings indicate that each mass media has differences in reproducing Middle East conflict information, in terms of their data source and point of view of news reporting. Republika tends to take the opposition's point of view to the Syrian government so that it puts the United States and its allies as its main subject. On the contrary, Kompas departed from the point of view of sympathy for the Syrian government and its allies, jeopardizing the United States and its allies in reporting. The third media, Tempo, takes the point of view of narrating events chronologically and focuses a lot on humanitarian issues in the news they deliver.

Abstract

Seiring perjalanan waktu, di Minangkabau pola dan sistem penamaan masjid dan musala telah mengalami perubahan. Jika dulu, masyarakat memberikan nama masjid dengan nama daerah atau mengambil nama dari nama-nama orang terkenal, saat sekarang penamaan masjid dan musala diambilkan dan berasal dari kata-kata nuansa Islam dan menggunakan bahasa Arab. Fenomena ini muncul disebabkan semakin kuatnya motivasi kehidupan beragama masyarakatnya, khususnya di masyarakat perkotaan. Namun demikian, peningkatan motivasi dan semangat keberagamaan ini tidak diimbangi dengan peningkatan pengetahuan keislaman khususnnya tentang bahasa Arab. Akibat kekurangan pengetahuan tentang bahasa Arab ini, terdapat kesalahan-kesalahan dalam menggunakan bahasa Arab untuk penamaan masjid dan musala. Salah satunya seperti terdapat sebuah masjid yang diberi nama ―al-Mu'atabah‖. Penamaan nama ini merupakan contoh dari kesalahan besar dalam konteks semantik, karena ―al-mu‘atabah berarti ―orang yang dicela‖. Artikel ini mencoba untuk menjelaskan kesalahan dalam penamaan masjid pada aspek morfologi, aspek semantik dan aturan penulisan (al-imla‟). Penelitian ini mengambil populasi semua nama masjid di kota Padang, Sumatera Barat. Hasil penelitian akan memberikan kontribusi kepada beberapa pihak seperti pemerintah, pengurus-pengurus masjid, dan umat Islam secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Artikel ini menyajikan penelitian terhadap Naskah Otobiografi Syekh Muhammad Arsyad Batuhampar yang berjudul Min Makkah ila Mishra. Kesimpulan penelitian terhadap naskah tersebut ialah bahwa ritus ziarah dikalangan sufi bukan hanya sekedar mengunjungi makam auliya’, lebih dari itu sebagai perjalanan ilmiah. Naskah Min Makkah ila Mishra ditulis oleh Syekh Arsyad pada akhir abad 19. Syekh Arsyad ialah salah satu tokoh Tarekat Naqsyabandiyah terkemuka di Pedalaman Minangkabau. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Filologi dan Sejarah Intelektual. Filologi sebagai alat pembedah naskah, sedangkan Sejarah Intelektual untuk kontekstualisasi naskah.

Abstract

The main problem in learning maharah qirā’ah (Arabic reading skills) at MTsS Al Makmur lies in students’ low interest and limited comprehension of Arabic texts. This issue stems from the use of monotonous teaching strategies and instructional media that fail to stimulate active engagement or meaningful learning. To address this problem, an innovative combination of animated videos and the Know–Want to Know–Learned (KWL) strategy was introduced to enhance students’ reading comprehension and motivation. This study aimed to investigate the effect of integrating animated videos with the KWL strategy in maharah qirā’ah instruction among seventh-grade students at MTsS Al Makmur. The research employed a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group, involving one experimental and one control class. Data were analyzed using a t-test to measure the difference in students’ reading achievement. The results revealed a t-value of 4.874 with a significance level of 0.001, which is lower than 0.05, indicating a statistically significant improvement in students’ reading skills. The study concludes that combining animated videos with the KWL strategy effectively enhances students’ engagement, comprehension, and learning outcomes. This finding contributes to Arabic language pedagogy by demonstrating how digital media and metacognitive strategies can be integrated to foster more effective maharah qirā’ah instruction.

Abstract

الملخص تُبرز هذه الدراسةُ أنَّ استعمالَ أَمَّا وإمَّا في القرآن الكريم يقوم على دقّةٍ بنيويّةٍ وقوّةٍ دلاليّةٍ تكشف عن إعجازٍ أسلوبيٍّ في بناء أنماط الشرط والتفصيل والتخيير. وتنبعُ أهمّيّةُ هذا البحث من كونه يكشف الوظائفَ النحويّة والدلاليّة لهاتين الأداتين بعمقٍ أكبر، مما يفتح آفاقًا جديدة لفهمٍ أدقَّ لخصائص اللّغة القرآنيّة، وهو جانبٌ لم ينل حظَّه الكافي في الدراسات السابقة. ويهدف هذا البحث إلى الكشف عن وظيفة هاتين الكلمتين، ومعناهما، ودورهما في بنية وأساليب التعبير في القرآن الكريم. وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج التحليلي النصي، من خلال تحديد الآيات التي وردت فيها "أما" و"إما"، ثم تحليل السياقات والأنماط التي وردت فيها، وذلك استنادًا إلى قواعد النحو العربي. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة بشكل عام أن "أما" حرف يفيد الشرط، ويُستخدم للتفصيل في الآية، كما يقدّم شرحًا لمضمونها، في حين أن "إما" تؤدي وظيفة التخيير أو طرح البدائل داخل الآية الواحدة. يشير المعنى الدلالي لكلمتي أمّا و إمّا إلى دورهما في تحديد المعاني وتوجيه المقاصد داخل السياق القرآني؛ فـأمّا تُفيد التفصيل والتقسيم مع توكيد المعنى، بينما إمّا تُستخدم للاختيار أو الاحتمال، مما يبرز دقّة التعبير القرآني وجمال نظمه، مما يعزز إعجازه اللغوي. وتُسهم هذه الدراسة في تعميق الفهم اللساني للقرآن الكريم، وخصوصًا في جانب الأسلوب، كما تُثري ميدان الدراسات الأسلوبية في اللغة العربية الكلاسيكية.
