Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work communication and employee competence on organizational performance, as reflected in employee performance, at the Youth and Sports Office (Dinas Kepemudaan dan Keolahragaan) of North Sumatra Province. A quantitative associative approach was used with multiple linear regression analysis. The population comprised all 83 civil servants at the office, and a saturated sampling technique was applied so that the entire population served as the research sample. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using classical assumption tests, the t-test, the F-test, and the coefficient of determination with SPSS 25.0. The results show that work communication has a positive and significant partial effect on organizational performance (t = 4.164; sig. = 0.000), and employee competence also has a positive and significant partial effect (t = 5.168; sig. = 0.000) and is the more dominant predictor of the two. Simultaneously, work communication and employee competence significantly affect organizational performance (F = 64.189; sig. = 0.000), explaining 61.6% of its variance (R² = 0.616), while the remaining 38.4% is explained by other factors outside the model. These findings indicate that effective communication and adequate employee competence, when developed together, are key drivers for improving the performance of public sector organizations such as regional youth and sports offices.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of work motivation, leadership, and organizational culture on employee performance at PT Pelindo Multi Terminal Branch Belawan. Employee performance is an important aspect in achieving company goals, which can be influenced by the level of motivation, leadership style, and work culture applied. The method used is a quantitative approach with a survey technique, involving 98 respondents who are permanent employees. Data was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that work motivation, leadership, and organizational culture simultaneously have a significant influence on employee performance. Partially, these three variables also provide a positive and significant influence. Work motivation: t-count value of 1.410 < t-table 1.661 (n–k = 98–4 = 95, α = 0.05) with a significance of 0.002 < 0.05. This indicates that motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Leadership: t-count value 9.214 > 1.661 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. This means that leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Organizational culture: t-count value 3.519 > 1.661 with a significance of 0.001 < 0.05. This proves that organizational culture also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of competence, work discipline, and workload on employee performance at PT Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari. The research focuses on examining the influence of these independent variables on employee performance both partially and simultaneously. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Research data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 45 employees as respondents. The data analysis techniques used include descriptive statistics to describe data characteristics, classical assumption tests as prerequisites for analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the t-test to determine partial effects and the F-test to determine simultaneous effects among variables, with the support of statistical data processing software. The results indicate that competence has a positive but not significant effect on employee performance. Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and is identified as the most dominant variable. Workload has a negative but not significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, competence, work discipline, and workload have a significant effect on employee performance, indicating that these three variables collectively explain variations in employee performance. This study is limited by a relatively small number of respondents and a research scope confined to a single company. In addition, the variables examined are still limited and do not include other factors that may influence employee performance. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the development of human resource management knowledge and to serve as a reference for companies in improving employee performance through effective work discipline management.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of leadership style, work motivation, and organizational culture on the work discipline of village officials at the Muliorejo Village Office, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency, both partially and simultaneously. The population consists of 30 respondents with a saturated/sensus sampling technique, meaning the entire population is used as the research sample. The research was conducted in 2025, using questionnaires to obtain primary quantitative data, which was then analyzed with SPSS 26 using multiple linear regression. The analysis shows that leadership style, work motivation, and organizational culture individually and together have a significant positive influence on work discipline. The partial test (t-test) revealed: leadership style (t-count 2.412 > t-table 2.05 with sig. 0.029); work motivation (2.789 > t-table 2.05 with sig. 0.015); organizational culture (2.544 > t-table 2.05 with sig. 0.027). The simultaneous test (F-test) yielded F-count 12.644 (sig. 0.004), with F-table 2.98, thus all hypotheses (H1-H4) are accepted. Organizational culture is the dominant factor with the highest beta (0.542), explaining 42.9% of the variation in work discipline, with a fairly strong correlation (R = 0.530).
