Abstract

This study aimed to determine: (1) the effect of emotional quotient school culture on stress management, (2) the effect of emotional Quotient on teacher’s organizational commitment, (3) the effect of stress management on teacher’s organizational commitment. This study uses quantitative methods, the model used is the path analysis with inferential data analysis techniques. The population in this study are all teachers of senior high school in the district of Padang Lawas, amounting to 214 teachers. The research sample was determined by using a proportional stratified random sampling technique to obtain a sample of 137 teachers. The research instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire. The results of this study found: (1) there is a direct and significant impact of emotional intelligence on work stress management with a correlation coefficient r32 = 0,313 with contribution of the direct effect by 10%, (2) there is a direct and significant influence of emotional intelligence on organizational commitment of teachers with a correlation coefficient R 0,094; (3) there is a direct and significant effect of work stress management on organizational commitment of teachers are direct and significant effect of stress management on organizational commitment of teachers working with a correlation coefficient of 0,217 with a contribution of R = the effect of 5%

Abstract

This study aimed to determine: (1) the effect of school culture on stress management, (2) the effect of school culture on teacher’s organizational commitment, (3) the effect of stress management on teacher’s organizational commitment. This study uses quantitative methods, the model used is the path analysis with inferential data analysis techniques. The population in this study are all teachers of senior high school in the district of Padang Lawas, amounting to 214 teachers. Abstract

This research aims to analyze various school principal leadership models that play a role in improving the quality of education through literature study. Principal leadership is recognized as a key factor in determining the quality and success of the educational process. This study examines literature related to instructional, transformational, visionary, participatory, and situational leadership models, and how the application of these models can contribute to improving the quality of education. The results of the literature review show that each leadership model has different strengths and weaknesses, and its effectiveness often depends on the specific context of the school. These findings also indicate that school principals who are able to integrate elements from various leadership models tend to be more successful in creating an educational environment that is oriented towards improving quality. This literature study provides theoretical insights that are useful for educational researchers and practitioners in developing effective leadership strategies to achieve goals in improving the quality of education.

Abstract

This research aims to determine: (1) teacher performance at SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan; (2) positive culture at SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan; (3) strategies for building, developing, maintaining sustainability and consistent implementation of a positive culture; and (4) what is the relationship between positive culture and teacher performance at SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan.The type of this research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The analysis techniques used are data reduction, presentation and conclusions. The subjects and objects of the research were the principal and teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan. The results of the research show that: (1) The performance of teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan can be categorized as "good", this is shown through the teacher's ability to plan, to implement and to assess learning outcomes, well as the ability to guide and train students and carry out additional tasks mandated by the school; (2) The positive culture at SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan has been good implemented, they are the culture of togetherness for formulating the vision, mission and goals of the school , the culture of collaborating of teachers in developing and implementing the curriculum, the culture of the school community being committed and consistent in building better communication, positive and mutually supportive, the culture of the school community together building a positive narrative about the school and also the school leaders and figures, the culture of transparency shown by school management in building the organizational structure and the commitment of the school community to implement the organizational structure, the culture of togetherness implement the positive ritual at the school, a culture of collaboration of teacher in learning and designing learning, and culture of school residents who often build good relationships and interactions with school stakeholders; (3) SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan has made efforts to build and develop a positive culture using various strategies; and (4) The positive culture that is developed at SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan has a positive influence on increasing teacher performance

Abstract

This research aims : 1. to find out  of planning for Islamic-based education at Al-Hidayah High School Medan, 2. to find out the organization of Islamic-based education at Al-Hidayah High School Medan, 3. to know the implemen tation of Islamic-based education at Al-Hidayah High School Medan, 4. to find out the character of graduates with education-based education. Islam at Al-Hidayah High School Medan, 5. Islamic-based educational management is effective in producing the character of graduates at Al-Hidayah High School Medan. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods. The sub ject is the principal, teacher at Al-Hidayah High School in Medan. The data sources used in this research are primary data and secondary data which are needed to find out how Islamic-based education is implemented at SMA Al-Hidayah Medan. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that Islamic-based education has been successfully implemented optimally according to the direction of the school principal and also the support of the teachers. The dominant factor that influences the character of Al-Hidayah Medan High School graduates is religious activities which are able to shape students' characters into characters with noble morals. AlHidayah Medan High School is now a driving school which is a role model for driving schools in the surrounding environment. Student activity in extra-curricular activities tahfizh, tahsin, muhadharah (speech in three languages) was carried out optimally. The implementation of Islamic-based education will improve the character of Al-Hidayah Medan High School graduates into better individuals, responsible and of noble character. The school which was previously known as ALTEK (Al-Hidayah Teksas) has now changed to ALBAT (Al-Hidayah Hebat).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of strategic management in the context of boarding school-based schools at SMA Negeri 2 Plus YPMHB Sipirok, with a focus on efforts to improve the quality of education. Strategic management is understood as a series of systematic steps including planning, implementing, and evaluating strategies aimed at optimizing organizational performance. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the school has succeeded in formulating a vision, mission, and goals that are directed at forming students who excel academically, have character, and are competitive. The implementation of strategies based on SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis helps schools identify internal potential and external opportunities to overcome various challenges. Optimization of human resources, finances, and facilities is the main key to supporting the success of the learning process. Teachers and education personnel are given ongoing training to improve their competence. Budget management is carried out efficiently with a priority on improving physical and digital facilities, including dormitory rooms, laboratories, and access to information technology. This study concludes that the implementation of integrated strategic management can improve the quality of education at SMA Negeri 2 Plus YPMHB Sipirok. The recommendations given include strengthening human resource capacity, diversifying funding sources, and improving learning technology to support the sustainability of education quality in boarding school-based schools.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the management of competitive school culture in fostering teacher creativity and innovation at SMA Negeri 2 Plus YPMHB Sipirok. Competitive school culture is considered as one of the important factors in encouraging teacher professional development, which in turn can improve the quality of learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the management of competitive school culture at SMA Negeri 2 Plus YPMHB Sipirok includes strategies such as improving teacher professionalism through continuous training, collaboration between teachers, and giving awards to innovative teachers. However, there are challenges such as resistance to change, limited resources, and high workloads that hinder the implementation of a competitive culture to the maximum. In the discussion, this study emphasizes the importance of the role of transformational leadership in creating a climate that supports creativity and innovation, as well as the need for external support to overcome existing obstacles. Based on these findings, it is recommended that schools continue to strengthen the management of competitive culture by paying attention to supporting factors such as relevant training, adequate resources, and reducing administrative barriers, in order to create a more innovative and creative environment among teachers

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) Manajemen sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu Pendidikan di SMK Pusat Keunggulan Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai; (2) Efektivitas manajemen sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu Pendidikan di SMK Pusat Keunggulan Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kombinasi   yang menggabungkan antara metode penelitian kualitatif  dan kuantitatif. Hasil temuan penelitian diperoleh: (1)  Manajemen sekolah meningkatkan mutu Pendidikan di SMK Pusat Keunggulan Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai dilaksanakan melalui: (a) Perencanaan. Hasil temuan dari Perencanaan penelitian adalah SMKN 1 Dolok Masihul melakukan perencanaan pembelajaran  melalui: MOU; Analisis Kebutuhan Pengajaran; Penyelarasan Kurikulum berbasis industri; Membuat Jadwal pengajaran dan mangang; Merencanakan peralatan standarisasi peralatan bengkel praktik. (b) Pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan: Penyelarasan dan Pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran. (c) Evaluasi dilakukan melalui tiga bentuk yaitu diagnostik (tes awal), tes akhir dan Uji Kompetensi Keahlian (UKK).  (d) Pengendalian atau pengawasan dilaksanakan secara langsung guna memantau dan mengawal kegiatan proses pengajaran. (2) Efektivitas Manajemen sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu Pendidikan sudah efektif. Hal ini dianalisis berdasarkan: (a) Level Reaksi. Berdasarkan perhitungan angket diperoleh: sangat memuaskan 47,1%, memuaskan  28,1%,  cukup memuaskan 24,3% dan 0,5% kurang memuaskan.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati seberapa efektivitasnya penggunaan strategi berbasis masalah dalam upaya meningkatkan critical thingking siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, yaitu penelitian yang menekankan pada kualitas data atau kedalaman data yang diperoleh. Yang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 6 b Sekolah Dasar SDS PLUS ANBATA yang berjumlah 29 orang.  Teknik pengumpulan data yang di lakukan oleh peneliti yaitu teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini, yaitu Pembelajaran dengan menerapkan critical thingking dengan strategi Problem Based Learning (PBL) termasuk dalam pembelajaran inovatif dimana siswa lebih banyak berperan aktif dalam pembelajaran dibandingkan dengan guru. Dalam hal ini, guru hanya sebagai fasilitator saja sedangkan siswanyalah yang berperan aktif dalam pembelajaran. Dalam penggunaan strategi Problem Based Learning dapat dilihat bahwa penggunaan strategi tersebut memperoleh keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran PKN, hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai bulanan para peserta didik yang sudah mencapai nilai yang sesuai dengan ketetapan dari SDS Plus Anbata MedanKata Kunci: Pembelajaran PKN, Critikal Thingking, SDS Plus Anbata Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of altruism in strengthening collaborative academic supervision in educational institutions. Altruism, as an attitude of selfless help, is believed to contribute to a harmonious climate of cooperation between educators and leaders in academic supervision activities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method at Madrasah Aliyah Persiapan Negeri 4 Medan. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that altruism can strengthen interpersonal relationships, increase openness of communication, and encourage active participation in collaborative academic supervision. In addition, altruistic values have been shown to increase mutual trust and create a more open dialogue space between teachers and school management. Academic supervision based on strong social relationships and empathy also facilitates the process of identifying problems and finding joint solutions. The implication of this study is the importance of fostering altruistic values in the professional development of teachers and madrasah principals to create a supportive and productive work culture. This value should be integrated into leadership and supervision training in order to create a more humanistic, inclusive, and collaborative education system
