Abstract

Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk mengatasi rendahnya literasi digital di kalangan guru SMK yang menghambat penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif di kelas. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, program ini memperkenalkan dua media digital, Padlet dan Lumio, yang sebelumnya belum digunakan oleh guru-guru di sekolah mitra. Tujuan kegiatan adalah (1) meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis digital, dan (2) meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran melalui pemanfaatan teknologi interaktif. Kegiatan melibatkan 56 guru dari SMK Negeri 7 Pontianak dan dilaksanakan melalui penyampaian materi, pendampingan, serta praktik langsung dalam dua sesi: pemaparan urgensi media digital, dan pelatihan teknis penggunaan Padlet dan Lumio. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kesiapan guru dalam mengadopsi teknologi digital, dengan partisipasi aktif dan antusiasme yang tinggi selama workshop. Kegiatan ini menguji efektivitas pelatihan singkat berbasis praktik langsung dalam mendorong transformasi keterampilan digital guru serta menegaskan pentingnya strategi pelatihan aplikatif dalam literatur pengabdian masyarakat, khususnya pada konteks adopsi teknologi pendidikan di tingkat sekolah menengah kejuruan.

Abstract

This study addresses the challenge of deficient solfeggio proficiency amongst Year 11 students at SMAN 01 Jagoi Babang, a limitation that invariably leads to suboptimal musical performance, particularly for individuals with diminished pitch perception. The primary objective was to rigorously evaluate the efficacy of the SAPE (Senang Aktif Piano Efektif / Happy Active Piano Effective) interactive media in enhancing solfeggio capabilities within the music curriculum. Employing a quantitative approach, the research utilised a quasi-experimental, non-equivalent control-group design within a two-cycle Classroom Action Research framework. This methodology facilitated the precise measurement of proficiency trajectories through comparative analysis. The participant cohort comprised 36 students identified with pitch-perception difficulties via a diagnostic assessment, who were subsequently allocated to homogeneous experimental and control groups through purposive sampling. Data were systematically gathered via a pretest-posttest practical examination targeting sight-reading, ear training, and sight-singing, along with a Likert-scale questionnaire to capture affective responses. The findings demonstrate that the experimental group, utilising the SAPE intervention, achieved consistently superior improvements in solfeggio proficiency compared to the control group subjected to conventional pedagogical methods. Furthermore, SAPE functions as a highly efficacious multimodal instructional tool, fostering active engagement, augmenting self-confidence, and enabling independent, offline practice. Ultimately, this study substantiates that innovative interactive media, particularly when integrating local wisdom, serve as a critical determinant in the successful delivery of secondary school music education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and implement a web-based student behavior monitoring application for Grade X students of Computer and Telecommunication Network Engineering (TJKT) at SMKN 1 Sambas and to analyze its impact on student behavior and learning outcomes. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, encompassing the stages of needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data analysis combined quantitative descriptive and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data obtained from expert validation sheets and questionnaires were analyzed using percentage-based descriptive statistics to determine the feasibility and practicality of the developed application. Meanwhile, qualitative data derived from observations and documentation were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to support the interpretation of the findings. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, and documentation, involving teachers, class advisors, parents, and students. The expert validation results indicated that the application is highly feasible, with scores of 88.31% from content experts, 88.94% from media experts, and 86.48% from technology experts. Practicality testing by teachers and parents also categorized the application as highly practical, with scores of 83.51% and 84.94%, respectively. Behavioral evaluation showed significant improvement, with teacher-led interventions reaching 81.27% (good category) and student self-interventions 85.45% (very good category). Furthermore, academic outcomes improved significantly, with the class average increasing from 70 to 79. The t-test analysis yielded a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that the application effectively enhances both student discipline and academic performance. In conclusion, the developed web-based application is valid, practical, and effective in improving student behavior and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This article reports on a community service program conducted by FKIP Universitas Tanjungpura in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia, aimed at enhancing professional English competency and AI literacy among journalists at Pontianak Post. The program integrated comprehensive English communication training with artificial intelligence tool applications, including ChatGPT, Google AI Studio, Elicit, Consensus, Humata, Otter AI, and Canva AI. A post-training survey was administered to 20 participating journalists using a Likert-scale instrument supplemented by open-ended questions. Results indicate overwhelmingly positive outcomes, with overall satisfaction reaching 4.80 out of 5.00. The highest-rated aspects included the international collaboration value (4.85), AI-enhanced learning effectiveness (4.80), and participants' intention to continue using AI tools in their professional practice (4.80). Qualitative feedback revealed that journalists experienced significant improvements in their confidence to communicate in English, enhanced efficiency in news production through AI integration, and increased awareness of ethical considerations in technology-assisted journalism. The findings demonstrate that combining language competency training with digital literacy creates a synergistic effect that prepares journalists for the evolving demands of contemporary media practice.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence in English language teaching faces implementation challenges despite documented benefits, particularly in resource-limited Indonesian contexts where teachers' digital competence significantly influences adoption. This community service program addressed these gaps through comprehensive technology integration training focused on Google AI Studio for pronunciation instruction at SMPN 1 Jongkat, Mempawah Regency. The program employed a participatory approach combining needs analysis, hands-on training, collaborative workshops, and systematic evaluation involving 19 teachers. Post-training surveys using 5-point Likert scales assessed confidence levels across multiple dimensions of AI-assisted pronunciation instruction. Results demonstrated consistently high confidence levels across most dimensions, with means ranging from 4.26 to 4.74, particularly in using AI-generated speech for listening input and designing speaking activities. However, teachers showed notably lower confidence in self-assessment applications, revealing hesitation in comparing their own pronunciation with AI-generated models. The majority of participants prioritized ease of material development as the primary advantage. Analysis through the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge framework indicated successful development of integrated technical and pedagogical competence, though limited articulation of specific implementation strategies suggests need for ongoing professional support. The training successfully established foundational confidence for AI integration while identifying areas requiring continued development to ensure sustainable implementation.

Abstract

Virtual Reality adalah sebuah teknologi berbasis komputer yang menciptakan lingkungan virtual tiga dimensi sehingga pengguna dapat berinteraksi secara langsung dan memperoleh pengalaman belajar yang imersif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Virtual Reality pada mata pelajaran Informatika, khususnya materi privasi data. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X di salah satu sekolah menengah atas negeri di Kabupaten Bengkayang dengan jumlah 30 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, angket, dan tes hasil belajar. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan kuantitatif dengan membandingkan hasil pre-test dan post-test untuk mengetahui efektivitas media. Hasil penelitian diharapkan menghasilkan media pembelajaran berbasis Virtual Reality yang efektif serta mampu meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik sebagai alternatif solusi inovatif dalam pembelajaran Informatika.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan media PhET simulation dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa dalam belajar fisika dan melihat perbedaan motivasi belajar siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa setelah dilakukan penerapan model pembelajaran iquiri terbimbing dengan menggunakan PhET Simulation. Pengukuran penguasaan konsep menggunakan soal tes untuk pretest dan posttest sedangkan motivasi belajar siswa menggunakan instrumen angket motivasi setelah penerpan model pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Non equivalent control group Design atau desain penelitian kuasi-eksperimental dengan desain faktorial 1x2. Penelitian ini melibatkan semua siswa di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Batang. Sampel diambil dua kelas: kelas eksperimen, yang menerapkan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan bantuan PhET simulasi, dan kelas kontrol, yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional. Test penguasaan konsep dan Angket motivasi belajar adalah alat penelitian untuk menganalisis data penguasaan konsep digunakan pada uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test,Mann-Whitney dan Uji N-Gain, sedangkan motivasi belajar siswa menggubakan uji Mann-Whitney dan perhitungan effect size, dua jalur dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 . Hasil dari penguasaan konsep peningkatan nilai pretest dan postest pada kelas eksperimen sedangkan perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas montrol terjadi perbedaan yang signifikan dengan signifikasi Sig (2-Tailet) < α. Untuk Motivasi belajar siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dengan tingkat perbedaan yang besar. Penelitian ini menentukan : (1) Bagaimana peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi gelombang cahaya melalui penerapan model inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan media PhET simulation? (2) Apakah terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar siswa pada materi gelombang cahaya melalui penerapan model inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan media PhET simulation dengan penerapan model konvensional?
