Abstract

Menopause is a natural process that will be experienced by all women. Menopause characterized with the symptoms that can be stressful for women. This problem can be solved with husband’s social support and their self-acceptance when approaching menopause. The aim of the study are determine the correlation between husband’s social support and woman self-acceptance with their stress level when approaching menopause. Quantitative method are used in this study, with 50 mothers in the village Lontar District of Sambikerep, Surabaya as the subject. The data were analyzed by using product moment correlation technique. The result of the study show there are significant relationship between husband’s social support and woman self-acceptance with their stress level. The result of multiple linear regression analysis obtained significance value of 0,002 with a value Rsquare=0,236, meaning there is a significant relationship between social support and self acceptance husband with stress level in women approaching menopause. Abstrak: Menopause  adalah  proses  alami  yang  akan  dialami  oleh  semua  wanita.  Perubahan  menuju  masa menopause ditandai dengan gejala-gejala yang dapat menimbulkan stres bagi wanita. Hal ini dapat diatasi dengan pemberian dukungan sosial oleh suami dan memiliki penerimaan diri pada wanita menjelang masa menopause. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan sosial suami dan penerimaan diri dengan tingkat stres pada wanita menjelang masa menopause. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 50 ibu-ibu di wilayah Kelurahan Lontar Kecematan Sambikerep, Surabaya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data secara parsial dengan teknik korelasi product moment, diketahui bahwa dukungan sosial suami dengan tingkat stres dan penerimaan diri dengan tingkat stres memiliki hubungan yang signifikan. Hasil analisis regresi linier berganda didapatkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,002 dengan nilai R=0,236, berarti terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial suami dan penerimaan diri dengan tingkat stres pada wanita menjelang masa menopause.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the correlation between self esteem and self disclosure of Psychology students of Universitas Negeri Surabaya who are using a social network of blackberry messenger. This research used quantitative method with correlational research design. Participants in this research were 187 students of Psychology students who have blackberry messenger accounts and are active users of blackberry messenger. Data collected using self esteem and self disclosure scales and analyzed using product moment correlation. The result shows that the coefficient correlation is 0,315 in the significant level 0,000 (p>0,05), which means that hypothesis of this research “there is correlation of self esteem and self disclosure to the Psychology students of Universitas Negeri Surabaya who are using a social network blackberry messenger” is accepted.Abstrak:  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self esteem dengan self disclosure mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Negeri Surabaya pengguna jejaring sosial blackberry messenger. Abstract

The processs of changes among ex-recidivist convict is interesting issues in terms of how they face problems of living with society that impact on self-change. The purpose of this study was to explore the experience of an ex-recidivist convict in struggling to reintegrate into society. This research used qualitative approach with life-history method. One participant who is an ex-recidivist convict and two significant others were involved in this study.  Data collected using semi-structured interviews and analyzed using narrative analysis. This study reveals 4 (four) major themes, the participant’s life before his change, the participant’s self-transformation, the ways he takes to face the obstacles of change and  social context of the  changing process. In general, the result of this study shows that the participant has succeeded his changing process which is signed by the fact that he does not do any criminal acts or another negative behaviour anymore. The self-changing has been increased by the participant through his efforts to change his surrounding environment into the better condition. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh bagaimana proses perubahan mantan narapidana residivis baik dari segi permasalahan yang muncul serta dampak perubahan diri pada individu. Penelitian bertujuan mengungkap bagaimana pengalaman partisipan terkait proses perubahan, cara partisipan dalam menghadapi hambatan, serta keadaan lingkungan sosial pada proses perubahan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode life history dengan analisis data naratif. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode wawancara semi-tersturktur yang terdiri dari 1 partisipan inti dan 2 orang significant other. Peneltian menghasilkan 4 tema besar yaitu kehidupan partisipan sebelum berubah, proses perubahan diri, cara menghadapi hambatan, kondisi lingkungan sosial dalam proses perubahan. Hasil secara umum menunjukkan bahwa partisipan berhasil dalam proses perubahannya yang ditandai tidak kembali melakukan tindakan kriminal ataupun perilaku negatif lainnya. Perubahan diri juga partisipan tingkatkan dengan usahanya dalam mengubah lingkungan.

Abstract

Conventional learning method is viewed to be less effective because it poses the problems of space and time. Information Technology offers a method for more effective online learning called e-learning. This research aims to develop e-learning for the module of Child Development at Department of Psychology Universitas Negeri Surabaya. This study was a developmental research project that used the method of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). This model was chosen because the stages of its development are deemed appropriate especially for the refinement and implementation of e-materials in online system which facilitates the interactions among students and between the students and lecturers. The subjects of this study were 34 undergraduate psychology students who participated in the module of Child Development. This study was conducted during four meetings. The results of this study were e-material products which were uploaded in online learning system. The e-materials have been validated by experts. A questionnaire to record students’ responses on the e-materials was used. The analysis on the data resulted from students’ responses shows that there is no significant effect of the  e-learning application in the module of Child Development on the students’ learning achievement. Teknologi Informasi menawarkan metode pembelajaran yang dinamakan metode e-learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran e-learning pada mahasiswa yang memprogrram mata kuliah Perkembangan Anak di Jurusan Psikologi. Metode penelitian menggunakan Model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Model ini dipilih karena tahapan-tahapan pengembangannya dipandang sesuai terutama untuk penyempurnaan dan implementasi bahan ajar e-materi dalam sistem online dan fasilitas interaksi mahasiswa dengan dosen dan antar mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang memprogram mata kuliah Perkembangan Anak sejumlah 34 mahasiswa. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama empat kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah produk e-material yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Kuesioner disebarkan untuk diisi oleh mahasiswa dengan tujuan untuk mengukur respon mereka atas penggunaan e-learning dan e-material. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh signifikan dari penerapan pembelajaran e-learning terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

Abstract This paper is aimed to describe extracuricular advocacy activity at Islamic Primary School Bahagia, Wonokromo, Surabaya, as a community service conducted by team of lecturers of Universitas Negeri Surabaya. This school is particularly chosen because it has a unique social-economy background and limitations. The advocacy provided was to improve teachers’ soft-skills and creativity to be able to design supplementary activities to help students grow their interest and soft-skill as well. The final outcome is to see students’ growth in self-confidence, team work, respct and toleration to each other, which also support their academic achievement.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is currently affecting education bodies including universities. The negative impacts of pandemic on students’ academic lives cannot be underestimated primarily on the final-year undergraduate students who are working on their thesis. Various obstacles encountered by the students due to the distance learning applied by universities in responding to the pandemic can cause academic problems including procrastination. The main impact of academic procrastination on students is the delay in graduation that affects both the students’ future careers and the image of the university. The study aims to describe the academic procrastination of the final-year students during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a survey research that applied saturated samples for recruiting subjects. A number of 224 final-year students were involved. Data was collected using an academic procrastination questionnaire and was analysed descriptively using a statistic program.  The results showed that the academic procrastination among the participants was in the moderate category. The residence of the participants who are working on their thesis from homes indicate the connection with academic procrastination. In contrast, gender and the entry year are not proved as the factors that affect the students’ academic procrastination. Dampak negatif tidak dapat diabaikan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran terlebih pada mashasiswa semester akhir yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi. Berbagai kendala yang ditemui mahasiswa menimbulkan prokrastinasi akademik. Dampak dari prokrastinasi akade-mik adalah tertundanya kelulusan yang mempengaruhi baik masa depan mahasiswa maupun citra perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa tingkat akhir dalam masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei yang merekrut subjek menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh dengan jumlah subjek penelitian sebesar 224 orang. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala prokrastinasi akademik dan dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan bantuan program statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan prokrastinasi akademik pada subjek berada pada kategori sedang. Tempat tinggal ditemukan menjadi faktor yang berkaitan dengan prokrastinasi akademik selama mengerjakan skripsi dari rumah. Namun, jenis kelamin dan tahun masuk universitas tidak terbukti sebagai faktor yang mempengaruhi prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa.

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) has emerged as a promising technology in the mental health field with the potential to change the approach to the management of anxiety disorders, including phobias. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of AR therapy in reducing anxiety levels in phobia sufferers, with a focus on patients' experiences and responses to this technology. The research method used was an experimental study with a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) design, involving two groups of participants: an experimental group that received AR therapy and a control group that did not receive the intervention or received conventional therapy. Measurements were carried out using a valid and reliable anxiety scale before and after the intervention to assess changes in anxiety symptoms. The results showed that AR therapy significantly reduced anxiety levels in participants in the experimental group compared to the control group. Participants who underwent AR therapy reported increased tolerance for previously fear-inducing situations, as well as improvements in their daily quality of life. In conclusion, the use of AR in phobia therapy offers an innovative and effective approach to reducing anxiety symptoms in phobia sufferers. By creating a controlled virtual environment, AR facilitates safe and scalable exposure to therapy for patients, overcoming some of the barriers that exist in conventional therapy. The clinical implications and potential further application of this technology in clinical practice need to be further investigated to maximize its benefits in the management of anxiety disorders.
