Abstract

Senang Hati Village is one of the developing villages in Malingping Sub-district, Lebak Regency, Banten Province, where the majority of the population is young. Unfortunately, the difficult road conditions in the village mean that young people are less interested in pursuing formal education as high as possible. In addition, the highest public school in Senang Hati Village is only up to junior high school level, so their knowledge and skills are very limited. This also makes the youth of Senang Hati Village lack a sense of responsibility and concern for their village. In fact, the progress of Senang Hati villagse is in the hands of these young people. Departing from the situation analysis, the Community Service Team (PkM) of the Universitas Terbuka (UT) Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) lecturers provided training and assistance in making promotional media that could improve youth skills. These skills can become new jobs for young people so that Senang Hati Village can develop. Training and mentoring is carried out offline and online using Canva. The results of the training and mentoring showed that the youth of Senang Hati Village began to be able to use the Canva application properly. Now they have the initial skills that can support various village promotions and generate income, both for the village and for themselves. The training and mentoring can be continued until the youth of Senang Hati Village.

Abstract

Panancangan Village is located in Cibadak Sub-District, Lebak District, Banten Province. Several village residents had professions as oyster mushroom farmers and the results of cultivating these mushrooms could provide residents with an income of IDR 11,000 per kilo. During initial observations, the community empowerment team found that there were two main problems. The first was environmental problem. The environment around the village office looked barren and the air around the village feels very hot during the day. The second was social problem. Lack of residents skills and knowledge in the fields of mushroom management and food packaging, product marketing, and entrepreneurship, causes farmers to only sell their mushrooms in raw form. The objectives of this community service are providing education to village residents to increase environmental conservation awareness and increasing social development through training and education. Method used is through training both non-practical and practical training in plant cultivation and oyster mushroom management, food packaging, marketing, and entrepreneurship. The evaluation results showed that the training was effective and provided positive benefits for environmental and social improvements.

Abstract

Village fund allocations in Indonesia continue to increase each year, requiring village governments to strengthen their financial reporting capacity. Kurungkambing Village in Pandeglang Regency still faced difficulties in preparing accurate digital financial reports, particularly due to limited digital literacy and unfamiliarity with the Podkeds system. This community service program was designed to enhance the competencies of village officials in using Podkeds for transparent and accountable financial management. The program used a participatory training model consisting of needs assessment, workshops, hands-on practice, simulations using real financial data, mentoring sessions, and post-training evaluation. Participants included the village head, treasurer, administrative staff, and planning officers. Data were collected through observation, pre–post assessments, and documentation of Podkeds reporting outputs. The program improved participants’ technical competence in key Podkeds functions, such as data input, transaction recording, budget realization reporting, and monthly financial report generation. More than 80 percent of participants demonstrated increased mastery after mentoring. The use of Podkeds also reduced manual errors and shortened reporting time, supporting higher transparency and accountability in village finance. Findings indicate that digital training combined with guided mentoring can significantly enhance village financial governance. The improvement in digital skills and reporting accuracy reflects the importance of structured capacity-building programs for rural financial management. However, stable internet access and device availability remain challenges for sustainability. The Podkeds training program successfully strengthened the financial reporting skills of Kurungkambing Village officials. Continued technical assistance and infrastructure support are needed to maintain and expand the digitalization of village financial management.

Abstract

The research aims to examine the influence of sales growth, leverage, and intellectual capital on financial distress with profitability as a moderating factor before and after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The study focuses on 48 property and real estate sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2022. Using purposive sampling, 14 eligible companies were chosen for analysis. The data underwent analysis utilizing multiple linear regression, moderated regression analysis, and paired sample t-test methods. Findings indicate that sales growth does not impact financial distress; leverage has a significantly negative effect, while intellectual capital has a notably positive effect. Profitability moderates the influence of sales growth but not leverage or intellectual capital on financial distress. Additionally, it was noted that following the COVID-19 pandemic period, there were decreases in sales growth, intellectual capital, and profitability along with an increase in leverage by 8.75%. The study investigates how sales growth, leverage, and intellectual capital affect financial distress in the property and real estate sector. It goes beyond traditional financial metrics to explore the role of intellectual capital components like human capital, structural capital, and relational capital in mitigating financial distress. The study also examines the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sectors, providing insights into how it has adapted to its challenges.

Abstract

The problem of stunting and malnutrition in early childhood remains a serious challenge in Indonesia. Data shows a high prevalence of stunting, necessitating integrated and sustainable interventions. The "Waringin Sehat" Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM) Program aims to improve the knowledge of parents and early childhood education educators about balanced nutrition and strengthen family food security. Methods: This program adopts a community empowerment approach based on education, participatory training, and active mentoring. Its implementation involves close collaboration between the PkM team, parents, Ibnu Umbara Early Childhood Education educators, and village officials. The program is implemented through five stages: (1) preparation and mapping of needs, (2) intervention planning, (3) implementation of education and training activities, (4) monitoring and evaluation, and (5) reflection and sustainability strategies. Results: This program successfully improved parents' understanding of balanced nutrition and stunting prevention. The training provided to early childhood educators equipped them with the skills to integrate nutrition materials into the curriculum. The program also successfully formed active community learning groups and encouraged the use of local food through simple urban farming initiatives. The resulting outputs include modules, guidebooks, educational videos, and teaching aids. Conclusion: "Waringin Sehat" has made a significant positive contribution, creating positive behavioral changes and fostering community independence in addressing nutritional issues. This success confirms that integrated and participatory interventions are highly effective in achieving sustainable impact.
