Abstract

This study analyses the effect of the use of Artificial Intelligence technology and learning motivation on student academic achievement. The sample consisted of 162 active students drawn from each semester level of the Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, and Maritime Transport and Port Management (KALK) study programmes, with data collected through a questionnaire. Data were analysed in SmartPLS 4 using a path analysis approach to test the relationships between variables. The results show that the use of AI technology has a positive and significant effect on student academic achievement, with a path coefficient of 0.275 (p = 0.000). Learning motivation also has a positive and significant effect and is the most dominant variable, with a path coefficient of 0.703 (p = 0.000). The model explains 72.6% of the variance in student academic achievement. It can therefore be concluded that the use of AI technology and learning motivation are important factors in improving academic achievement among students of the Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, and KALK study programmes at the Maritime Institute of Jakarta.

Abstract

Air compressors are auxiliary machines on board that can produce high pressure air. This research was conducted because the productivity of the air compressor was less than optimal, causing air production and the performance of the air compressor to be less than optimal and disrupting operational activities on the ship. The impact that occurs when air production is reduced in the air compressor, the ship cannot operate according to the contract specified by the company, because the initial start of the main engine or main engine on board requires compressed air. Many factors can cause reduced production of air produced by air compressors, including the lack of performance of the suction valve and exhaust valve on the high pressure section which causes less maximum or longer time for filling air into the air bottle, low flow of the lubrication system on the piston which causes no compression to produce air. This research was carried out with the aim of identifying and analyzing the causes of the lack of performance of the suction and exhaust valves on high pressure sections and low flow of the piston lubrication system which results in less optimal performance of the air compressor when filling into air bottles. The method used in this study uses a qualitative descriptive method using primary and secondary data collection approaches and techniques. The lack of performance of the inlet and exhaust valves can be corrected by cleaning the carbon deposits on the valves and leveling the valve surfaces. The low flow of the lubrication system on the piston can be done by checking the lubricating oil pump, cleaning the lubricating oil filter, changing the lubricating oil periodically according to the instruction manual book, and adding lubricating oil according to the specifications of the air compressor.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce has intensified the importance of digital marketing strategies in shaping consumers’ post-purchase behavior, particularly repurchase intention. However, the mechanism through which digital marketing activities are translated into consumers’ willingness to repurchase remains fragmented in the existing literature. This study examines the conceptual mediating role of electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) in the relationship between the digital marketing mix and repurchase intention in Indonesian e-commerce. A qualitative library research approach was employed by synthesizing 37 scholarly publications published between 2017 and 2025, covering eWOM, digital and social media marketing, online customer reviews, trust, customer experience, perceived value, convenience, e-satisfaction, perceived risk, and repurchase intention. The findings indicate that digital marketing activities can stimulate consumer engagement and facilitate the generation and circulation of eWOM. In turn, the credibility, usefulness, relevance, and trustworthiness of eWOM can influence consumers’ information evaluation and behavioral intentions. The synthesis further indicates that eWOM can conceptually function as an intermediary mechanism connecting digital marketing activities with repurchase intention, particularly when supported by trust, perceived value, customer experience, convenience, and e-satisfaction. The study contributes a literature-based conceptual framework that integrates previously fragmented relationships between digital marketing, eWOM, and repurchase intention within the Indonesian e-commerce context. Rather than statistically testing mediation, the study establishes a theoretically grounded pathway for future empirical investigation.
