Abstract

The National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) and the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia proudly present the Indonesian Ash Robot Contest (KRAI), a yearly student robotics competition where teams tackle ash-related challenges with their robot creations. At KRAI 2021, it was shown that many robots were controlled using joysticks and resulted in a lack of effectiveness in robotic motion. The use of a joystick makes the movement of the robot take longer. This is because the robot is controlled by humans and the robot has not been able to pinpoint the robot's location. Gyrodometry is a method to map the robot's position using a inner ear and compass of the machine. In this research, Gyrodometry is used to map the position based on the readings of the gyroscope sensor and rotary encoder so that the robot can move automatically. In this research, the KRAI hitter robot can map positions and move in an accurate direction and can move automatically and effectively so that it can save more time and can increase the possibility of strategy in the match. From the results of this study, it was found that without using gyrodometry the error of X reached 11.825 cm and Y reached 35.1325 cm and also the angle error reached 13.7 degrees. and by using gyrodometry error X reaches 4.25 cm and Y reaches 5.775 cm and angle error 2.01 degrees. From these results, it was found that using gyrodometry was better than without using gyrodometry. The addition of waypoints to the robot only produces an average error of 8.2 cm X and Y error of -7.8 cm and the angle error reaches 10.2 degrees.

Abstract

Abstrak STIP Jakarta merupakan Lembaga Pendidikan dibawah Kementerian Perhubungan yang telah menggunakan Learning Management System (LMS) berupa aplikasi pembelajaran online yaitu Ed-link di masa pandemi Covid-19 dan masih digunakan sampai dengan saat ini, dengan tujuan meningkatkan akses pembelajaran bagi dosen dan taruna dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar di STIP Jakarta, selain itu guna mengikuti imbauan pemerintah dalam penerapan Social Distancing pada saat masa pandemi, akan tetapi masih banyak kendala yang dihadapi dalam proses pelaksanaannya. Pemanfaatan serupa juga dilaksanakan di Politeknik Transportasi Darat (Poltrada) Bali yang juga memiliki Learning Management System (LMS) yang serupa yaitu penggunaan aplikasi Smart Campus dalam menunjang media pembelajaran di masa pandemi covid 19 dan bahkan masih digunakan aplikasi sampai sekarang tersebut bagi dosen dan taruna. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui analisis perbandingan dari kedua Lembaga Pendidikan tersebut yaitu STIP dan Poltrada Bali tentang pengaruh dalam pemanfaatan aplikasi media pembelajaran Ed-link dan Smart Campus dalam menunjang proses kegiatan belajar mengajar bagi dosen dan taruna yang terlibat di dalamnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan membuat instrumen angket/kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada 131 responden dosen dan taruna STIP serta 140 responden dosen dan taruna Poltrada Bali. Pengolahan analisis data menggunakan aplikasi IBM SPSS versi 27.0.1 dan interpretasi hasilnya digunakan sebagai bahan evaluasi dan masukan kepada institusi STIP.

Abstract

Untuk meningkatkan sifat-sifat baja seperti kekerasan, kekuatan, keuletan, dan sifat fisiknya konduktivitas listrik, struktur mikro, densitas, seperti misalnya pada baja karbon AISI 1045. Baja karbon mendapat prioritas yang utama untuk dipertimbangkan, karena baja karbon Karena banyaknya permintaan yang bermacam–macam maka diadakan pemilihan bahan. Pemilihan bahan tersebut dapat dipersempit sesuai dengan kegunaannya, seperti misalnya pada baja karbon AISI 1045. Baja karbon mendapat prioritas yang utama untuk dipertimbangkan, karena baja karbon mudah diperoleh, mudah dibentuk atau sifat permesinannya baik, harganya relatif murah dan untuk mendapatkan sifat-sifat yang kuat diperlukan berbagai jenis proses perlakuan diantaranya dengan pelapisan atau penyemprotan dengan bahan lain. Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilaksanakan, maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa kekuatan tarik tertinggi menggunakan arus 120A dengan kekuatan Tarik 400MPa. Untuk nilai kekerasan paling tinggi pada penggunaan arus 150A dengan sudut penyemprotan 225o.dan untuk beban Tarik terbesar pada jenis specimen B dengan nilai 66200MPa.

Abstract

The waste problem continues to increase in volume, so it needs to be handled properly. In addition to causing floods, if there is garbage in the waterways, it will also be dangerous, especially plastic waste, because it is composed of chemicals that are difficult to decompose, so it is harmful to the environment. For this reason, it is necessary to process plastic waste into crafts that have selling and aesthetic value. The purpose of this activity is to provide education and motivation about the dangers of plastic waste and the benefits if made into handicraft items, as well as coordinate residents to clean up garbage that can cause annual flooding. This activity was carried out in the form of counseling and direct river cleaning activities. The main target of this activity is the residents of RT 04 RW 10 Semper Timur Village. Based on the pre-test results, 35.25% of residents did not know the benefits of plastic waste made into crafts, and 64.75% already knew. From the results of cleaning activities carried out by residents of RT 10 RW 10, the river becomes clean, the water flow is smooth, it does not cause odor, and besides that, it can also minimize environmental pollution so that residents can be more concerned about environmental cleanliness. With the creation of plastic waste utilization, residents have more knowledge about business opportunities that can be created through creativity and skills to improve their welfare.Permasalahan sampah terus semakin bertambah volumenya, sehingga perlu penanganan yang benar. Selain mendatangkan banjir jika terdapat sampah disaluran-saluran air, juga akan berbahaya terutama sampah plastik karena tersusun dari bahan kimia yang sukar diuraikan sehingga berbahaya bagi lingkungan. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan pengolahan sampah untuk mengubah sampah plastik menjadi kerajinan yang memiliki nilai jual dan estetika. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan edukasi dan motivasi tentang bahaya sampah plastik dan juga manfaatnya jika di buat menjadi barang kerajinan, serta mengkoordinir warga untuk membersihkan sampah yang dapat menyebabkan banjir tahunan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk penyuluhan dan kegiatan langsung melakukan pembersihan sungai. Sasaran utama dalam kegiatan ini adalah warga RT 04 RW 10 Kelurahan Semper Timur. Berdasarkan hasil pre-test, sebesar 35,25% warga belum tahu manfaat sampah plastik dibuat kerajinan dan 64,75% lainnya sudah tahu. Dari hasil kegiatan pembersihan yang dilakukan oleh Warga RT 10 RW 10, sungai menjadi bersih, aliran airnya sudah lancar, tidak menimbulkan bau, selain itu juga dapat meminimalisir pencemaran lingkungan sehingga Warga dapat lebih peduli terhadap kebersihan lingkungan. Dengan kreasi pemanfaatan sampah plastik, warga lebih punya pengetahuan mengenai peluang usaha yang dapat tercipta melalui kreatifitas dan keterampilan tersebut untuk meningkatan kesejahteraannya.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the causes of the KM Reski People's Shipping Ship Accident in the waters of Balang Caddi Island-Pangkajene Islands. The data analysis method in this research is quantitative and qualitative description. In this research, the sample selection was carried out using purposive sampling, namely a sampling technique with certain considerations, in this case all those on board the people's shipping vessels in the waters of Balang Caddi Island-Pangkajene Islands. The data collection method used in this research is an interview, which is unstructured but at a minimum the researcher uses a plan of questions to be asked as an interview guide. Based on the results of interviews by 35 respondents, in this case passengers, ship owners and captains, by asking questions with three indicators, namely related to safety equipment, decisions on safety regulations, and education and knowledge of human resources, it turns out that after interviews were conducted and analyzed, these three indicators were said to be low/fair, this is said to be the result of the KM Reski ship accident in the waters of Balang Caddi Island, due to lack of knowledge and lack of availability of safety equipment. .

Abstract

This research aims to develop an IoT-based ship engine performance monitoring system to enhance operational efficiency in marine vessels. The study introduces a real-time monitoring prototype integrating sensors, microcontrollers, and cloud-based data visualization. The variables observed include engine temperature, RPM, and fuel consumption. The methodology follows a design and implementation approach, tested on a diesel-powered training ship over a two-week observation period. Data were collected continuously and analyzed to detect performance anomalies and efficiency trends. Results show that the system improves situational awareness and enables proactive maintenance decisions. The developed system has implications for reducing fuel costs, extending engine life, and supporting digital transformation in marine engineering operations

Abstract

Education plays a very important role in shaping the quality of superior human resources. Learning outcomes are the main indicator used to assess the effectiveness of learning. With the increasing development of technology and paradigm shifts in the world of education, it is important for educators to understand the dynamics of learning styles and creativity in learning. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to collect, evaluate, and analyze previous research related to the influence of students' learning styles and creativity on learning outcomes. The results of this study are: 1) Learning styles and creativity have a significant influence on student learning outcomes; 2) Educators must understand the variations in students' learning styles and provide flexible and innovative teaching strategies; and 3) A learning environment that supports exploration and innovation is very important in enhancing student creativity.

Abstract

This study conducts a systematic assessment of the literature and does a bibliometric analysis to investigate the fluctuations in the availability and need for seafarers in the marine sector. The study examines a diverse selection of publications from several subfields within the seafarer workforce domain, analysing significant patterns, difficulties, and opportunities for enhancement. The study provides insights into the scholarly landscape of seafarer workforce research by analyzing highly cited articles, prolific authors, and influential journals. The findings highlight the significant impact of technological advancements, demographic shifts, regulatory changes, and economic factors on seafarer supply and demand dynamics. The systematic review and bibliometric analysis offer valuable information for policymakers, industry stakeholders, researchers, and academicians seeking to understand and address the complexities of the seafarer workforce. The initial review of articles obtained from the pilot search informed the formulation of research questions to understand the current state, trends, impactful studies, influential authors, and areas for future exploration within the seafarer workforce literature. Keywords related to seafarers and workforce were identified and refined through a three-step process to create an optimal set of search terms. This systematic literature review has provided valuable insights into various aspects of the seafarer workforce, including trends, challenges, and potential areas for future research. By employing a rigorous methodology and analyzing relevant literature, this study contributes to the ongoing discourse on seafarer supply and demand dynamics, offering a foundation for informed decision-making and further exploration in this field.

Abstract

The shipping world is one of the means of sea transportation engaged in the shipping sector. When we sail at night, it takes skill in using electronic navigation devices, the use of electronic navigation devices is not only in poor conditions and when visibility is limited to cause a risk of collision when the ship is sailing at night but also helps officers on board in determining the course, position, distance of the ship with objects around the ship. This study uses a qualitative explanatory approach to understand the phenomena that enter through non-numerical data analysis. The results of this study are: 1) Procedures for using electronic navigation devices on KM. Hijau Segar include preparation of navigation devices, operation of devices, monitoring during sailing, handling disturbances, closing and storage; and 2) Obstacles and solutions to prevent disturbances in navigation devices on KM. Hijau Segar include technical obstacles, environmental disturbances, signal disturbances, limited human resources, power outages.
