Abstract

This study explores the synergistic effects of product quality and marketing capabilities on repurchase intentions in the artisanal silver handicraft industry, with positive emotions acting as a mediating variable. Conducted at Budhi Ayu Silver Art Shop in Celuk Village, Bali, a renowned centre for handcrafted silver jewellery, the research employs a quantitative design with descriptive and associative analysis. Data were collected through surveys, alongside observations, and interviews, and from 112 respondents using purposive random sampling. The data were analysed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) to assess the direct and mediating relationships among variables, with the findings indicating that product quality and marketing capabilities significantly influence repurchase intentions, while positive emotions amplify their impact. This research highlights the need for consistent, strategic marketing efforts to boost consumer engagement and emotional resonance, contributing to international marketing theory by integrating emotional pathways into repurchase decision-making, with valuable managerial implications for artisans and marketers in the global creative industries.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of online loan services has led to increased financial risks for students, particularly in Indonesia, where access to digital financial services has become ubiquitous. This literature review explores the financial behavior of students, focusing on their engagement with online loan platforms and the associated risks of falling into debt. Financial literacy, peer influence, family background, and psychological factors such as impulsivity and risk-taking behavior are identified as key determinants of students' borrowing decisions. While financial literacy plays a crucial role in helping students make informed decisions, low financial literacy levels increase their susceptibility to predatory lending practices. Additionally, peer influence, social norms, and the allure of instant gratification contribute to the normalization of online loans among students. The review highlights the importance of digital financial literacy programs and interventions aimed at improving students' ability to navigate online financial services responsibly. Finally, the study identifies several gaps in the literature, including the need for longitudinal studies, an exploration of the psychological drivers of online loan usage, and research into the impact of online loan marketing strategies. This review provides valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and financial institutions seeking to mitigate the risks of online loan debt among students.

Abstract

With organizational commitment serving as a moderator, this research seeks to examine the impact of system digitization on staff performance at the Pedungan Village Office. One kind of governance modernization that has the potential to boost productivity and morale in the workplace is the digitization of administrative and attendance-related parts of the system. All thirty-five workers were surveyed for this quantitative investigation, which employed a saturated sample method. In order to assess the direct and indirect relationships between variables, data was gathered using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique. According to the findings, digitization of systems significantly improves worker productivity. Organizational commitment is also greatly enhanced by digitalizing systems. The connection between digitization of systems and performance is moderated by organizational commitment, which has a substantial impact on employee performance. That is to say, in order to increase performance, the level of organizational commitment grows in direct proportion to the degree to which systems are digitalized. In addition to improving technical efficiency, this discovery shows that digital transformation in the workplace greatly contributes to a healthy work culture by making employees more invested in the company's success. Findings from this research have important practical implications, such as the need to enhance staff performance in the village government setting via the development and implementation of digital technologies.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the influence of the local wisdom of Panca Budhi Indriya on competitive advantage in 4&5-star hotels in Bali. It also investigated the mediating role of strategic thinking in enhancing the relationship between local wisdom and competitive advantage. Methodology: This study adopted a quantitative approach and used survey data collected from 158 general managers of 4&5-star hotels in Bali. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (Rahayu & Yanis) with SmartPLS 3 software. The study employs a structured questionnaire based on indicators developed for local wisdom, strategic thinking, and competitive advantage. Results: The findings revealed that Panca Budhi Indriya has a significant and positive influence on competitive advantage. Additionally, strategic thinking significantly mediated the relationship between Panca Budhi Indriya and competitive advantage, acting as a complementary mediator. This demonstrates that integrating local wisdom with strategic management practices enhances hotels’ competitive edge. Conclusions: This study examines the influence of local wisdom Panca Budhi Indriya on competitive advantage, both directly and indirectly through strategic thinking. The findings confirm that Panca Budhi Indriya, as a form of intangible local wisdom, significantly enhances competitive advantage. Additionally, strategic thinking acts as a complementary mediator, further strengthening this relationship. Limitations: This study was limited to 4&5-star hotels in Bali, which may not fully represent the broader hospitality sector. This quantitative approach also limits the exploration of deeper qualitative insights into the role of local wisdom in strategic management. Contribution: This study contributes to the field of tourism and hospitality management by providing empirical evidence of how local wisdom can serve as a strategic resource for achieving competitive advantage. These findings offer practical insights for hotel managers, policymakers, and academics interested in integrating cultural values into strategic planning to support sustainable tourism development.
