Abstract

In the era of technology that continues to develop rapidly, students' needs for technology-based chemistry learning media are increasingly urgent. However, it cannot be denied that local wisdom also plays an important role in education. This research aims to analyze the needs of SMA MIPA students in Sitaro Regency for chemistry learning media based on technology and local wisdom. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. The results of data analysis show that the average score for all statement items is 3.99 on a Likert scale (maximum score 5), meaning that students generally agree with the use of learning media based on local wisdom. Further analysis shows that there is a significant difference (sig 0.05) in the perceptions of female and male students. Female students have a higher perception regarding the importance of using learning media based on local wisdom in learning chemistry. Likewise, students in classes X, XI, and XII showed differences in student perceptions (sig 0.05). Class XII students (4.01) have a higher perception than class XI students (3.98) and class X (3.97). Based on this research, it was concluded that SMA MIPA students in Sitaro Regency need chemistry learning media based on local wisdom.

Abstract

This community service aims to provide support and training to PKK women on Tidung Island. Service implementation is carried out using presentations, interactive discussions, and direct practice to improve the village's capacity and creativity. The objectives to be achieved by this activity are to increase knowledge about the effects of careless disposal of used cooking oil waste and to improve skills in handling used cooking oil so that it is a valuable useful treatment. Used cooking oil is waste cooking oil that has been used many times and contains carcinogenic compounds that are difficult to decompose. Both of these properties are dangerous to health and the environment if used cooking oil is consumed and discharged into the environment without change. To achieve this goal, the method that will be used in this activity is to provide health education on the effects of careless disposal of used cooking oil waste and subsequent processing practices using cooking oil into candles. The outcome of undertaking this activity is an increased understanding of the impact of used cooking oil waste on health and the environment. In addition, you can also take advantage of used cooking oil scraps to make candles.

Abstract

Character education has always been the focus of attention in the world of education in Indonesia. Creativity as an important form of character must really be measured with the right assessment instrument. Project Based Learning is a learning model that is able to explore the creativity of students. In this paper, a meta-review is conducted on the instruments for assessing student creativity in project-based learning on studies published in journals indexed by the Scopus database in 2011-2021. The results of this study show that the assessment of students' creativity in project-based learning by utilizing local wisdom has been widely carried out but has not found an assessment that focuses on all dimensions of creativity. In each PjBL syntax an assessment can be made, by adjusting the syntax to the creativity dimension which includes the dimensions of press, process, person, and product, but based on the results of the review there are no articles related to the implementation of PjBL based on local wisdom on the assessment of students' creativity, so the learning assessment only focuses on in the final condition does not include the learning process. Keywords: project based learning, creativity, systematic literature study. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i4.pp1504-1514
