Abstract

The mangrove woodland is a distinct bush or brine habitat characterized by a coastal sedimentation environment in which fine sediment (often rich in organic matter) accumulates in areas protected from high energy waves. Mangrove forests thrive on the coasts of tropical and subtropical regions, including Indonesia. Mangrove forest is a complex ecosystem that has a high diversity of plants, microorganisms, and animals. One of them is the Oil Mangrove (R. apiculata) which grows well on the coast of Lampung. This plant is hard, rich in tannins, and dense, mainly used to make charcoal and firewood. This plant traditionally used to treat diarrhea and nausea. Mangrove plants are tolerant to high salt levels, this special trait is due to the presence of secondary metabolites produced in response to various environmental stresses. Flavonoid compounds, alkaloids, terpenoids and steroids are secondary metabolites produced by mangrove plants. Secondary metabolite compounds from mangroves have bioactivity such as antidiabetic, antimicrobial, antioxidant and anticancer. Exploration of secondary metabolites from mangroves, especially oil mangroves locally named as Bakau Minyak, which are widely grown in the Lempasing area, coastal Lampung for the development of medicinal compounds, has not been intensely reported. Abstract

Minyak goreng bekas atau yang biasa disebut sebagai minyak jelantah merupakan limbah minyak goreng dari berbagai sumber yang telah digunakan untuk memproses berbagai jenis bahan makanan. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini bertujuan untuk menambah wawasan masyarakat tentang bahaya minyak goreng bekas dan manfaat lainnya. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan memberikan paparan bahaya yang disebabkan oleh minyak goreng bekas bagi Kesehatan manusia dan lingkungan dilanjutkan dengan praktek pembuatan sabun dari minyak goreng bekas. Masyarakat Desa Padang Rejo merasa puas dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan dan bersedia berpartisipasi pada kegiatan-kegiatan pengabdian mendatang. Berdasarkan hasil pretes dan postes yang dilakukan, terjadi peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat tentang bahaya minyak goreng bekas dan manfaatnya sebagai bahan pembuatan sabun. Peningkatan pemahaman ini dievaluasi dari kenaikan nilai postes terhadap pretes sebesar 39,69%.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) oleh Prodi Pendidikan Kimia kolaborasi dengan Institut Teknologi Sumatera, menyasar masyarakat di daerah Bandar Lampung. Masyarakat yang dimaksud dalam hal ini adalah lingkungan Pendidikan secara khusus Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung. Adapun kegiatan PkM dengan judul:” Sosialisasi dan Bimbingan Teknis tentang Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka” akan ditujukan kepada para Guru dan Manajemen Sekolah, sebagai upaya untuk membantu mendorong percepatan pencapaian target sekolah dalam mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka belajar. Kegiatan PkM ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan memberikan kontribusi keilmuan dari sisi ilmu sains dan teknologi dalam membantu SMA N 9 Bandar Lampung menuju sekolah yang mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka bahkan sampai kepada pencapaian menjadi sekolah penggerak. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk sosialisasi dengan menghadirkan para narasumber yang sudah pakar di bidangnya yang juga merupakan dosen Prodi Pendidikan Kimia, yang selanjutnya dirangkai dengan kegiatan workshop penyusunan kurikulum merdeka yang disesuaikan dengan potensi yang dimiliki oleh SMA N 9 Bandar Lampung. Pelaksanaan kegiatan disambut dengan baik, karena materi yang disampaikan sesuai dengan jenis sekolah dengan jalur “Mandiri Berubah”. Sekolah dengan jalur tersebut adalah sekolah dalam hal ini SMA yang baru melaksanakan kurikulum merdeka pada kelas X, dimana masih dalam taraf peralihan dari kurikulum 2013 ke kurikulum merdeka. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup kerangka dasar dan struktur kurikulum SMA , Proyek Peningkatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dan Modul Pembelajaran. Kepala Sekolah dan guru SMA Negri 9 Bandarlampung mengusulkan adanya pertemuan tindak lanjut. Hasil kegiatan PkM kolaborasi UKI dan ITERA adalah para guru SMA memperoleh penguatan pemahaman terhadap implementasi kurikulum merdeka yang terdiri dari mendesign, merencanakan, melaksanakan, projek penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila yang dilakukan di dalam kelas, dilingkungan sekolah dan lingkungan masyarakat sekitar lingkungan sekolah, juga bagaimana melaksanakan pencapaian pembelajaran secara akademis yang terdiri dari penyusunan kurikulum organisasi satuan Pendidikan, menjabarkan capaian pembelajaran, menyusun alur tujuan pembelajaran serta menyusun modul pembelajaran. Abstract

In an effort to improve people's welfare through trade and service-based development supported by superior industry, special attention is given to the seafood processing industry in Pangkalpinang City. One of the infrastructure support systems needed to support UMKM-based seafood trade activities is the provision of standardized production facilities that can be used jointly by UMKM players. This service program aims to support the industry through technical assistance in planning the construction of Production Houses with IKM Centers. This facility is designed to provide production facilities that meet UMKM standards in order to strengthen trade based on superior industries. Assistance includes field observations, structural and technical analysis, and cost calculations to ensure optimal building design that meets needs. The building design uses a concrete structure and steel roof, with local cultural elements in the form of a gable roof and carved wooden plank typical of Bangka Belitung. The estimated cost of building construction is IDR 4,572,000,000.00 (four billion five hundred and seventy-two million rupiah)

Abstract

A jetty is an essential element of port infrastructure yet remains vulnerable to lateral forces generated by waves, currents, berthing impact, and earthquakes, all of which can trigger structural failure. This study analyzes jetty performance by comparing two design approaches, soil-structure interaction (SSI) modeled with non-linear springs, and the conventional fixity-point method. A reinforced-concrete deck on steel pipe piles was modeled in SAP2000, with pile diameters of 24, 32, and 40 inches embedded in medium sand. Serviceability and ultimate load combinations followed BS 6349 and ASCE 7-10 provisions. The SSI analysis showed larger structural responses than the fixity-point approach, with peak deflection, bending moment, axial force, and shear force increasing by approximately 35 %, 21 %, 12 %, and 18 %, respectively. These differences arise because the fixity-point method considers soil stiffness only to the calculated fixity depth, potentially underestimating overall lateral demand. Both approaches indicate that a 40-inch pile driven no deeper than 30 m satisfies deflection criteria while limiting drive length, offering a balanced solution between safety and economy. Verifying fixity-point designs with detailed SSI analysis is therefore recommended for robust jetty construction.

Abstract

This research aims to minimize the impact of damage caused by earthquakes on simple residential houses, as well as to propose a preliminary draft of a model for light gauge steel frame (LGSF) construction by designing a light gauge steel frame structure (LGSF) modules with a new configuration using a genetic algorithm approach in the grid and profile design process. Rhinoceros + Grasshopper and Karamba plugins are used to simulate structural performance while octopus is used to run multi-Objective Optimization. From the Octopus iterations, a total of 319,614 designs were generated through genetic iterations, with the top 10 designs based on structural performance selected through fitness function evaluation. The displacement was reduced by 29.77 cm (14.39%) compared to the baseline model. However, the length was shown to increase by 18 cm (6.8%). This research contributes to the design method and optimization of the overall use of LGSF.

Abstract

The selection of deep excavation retaining systems in Indonesian clay soils is commonly performed based on practical experience without systematic parametric guidance. This study develops selection criteria between diaphragm walls and secant piles through a comprehensive parametric study using the finite element method. A total of 216 numerical models were simulated using Optum G2 software, varying wall type (diaphragm wall and secant pile), excavation depth (4, 8, and 12 m), groundwater table position, building surcharge load (25 kN/m), soil type (soft clay with N-SPT = 4 and stiff clay with N-SPT = 15), and constitutive model (Mohr-Coulomb and Hardening Soil). Results demonstrate that the Hardening Soil model produces 30–39% lower deformations compared to Mohr-Coulomb. Secant piles proved more cost-efficient across all 216 scenarios analyzed, achieving up to 50% cost savings for shallow excavations under low-risk conditions. The most influential parameters on wall performance are, in order: soil type, excavation depth, groundwater table position, constitutive model, surcharge load, and wall type. The resulting design charts and decision matrices serve as preliminary design tools within the SNI 8460-2017 framework.

Abstract

Desa Kalisari, Kecamatan Natar, memiliki jumlah penerima Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) yang tinggi, di mana sebagian penerima telah mengembangkan usaha mikro berbasis rumah tangga. Meskipun demikian, UMKM tersebut masih menghadapi kendala terkait legalitas usaha dan sertifikasi halal yang menghambat pemasaran, kemitraan, serta akses ke pasar digital. Studi awal mengidentifikasi tiga masalah utama, yaitu rendahnya pengetahuan teknis mengenai bahan baku dan keamanan produk, ketidaktahuan prosedur perizinan dan pengajuan sertifikasi halal, serta kurangnya kolaborasi dengan lembaga pendukung. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, tim pelaksana telah menyiapkan modul dan melakukan koordinasi dengan mitra. Kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan mencakup identifikasi UMKM sasaran, pelatihan teknis dan administrasi, pendampingan penyusunan dokumen legalitas dan sertifikasi halal, memfasilitasi ke instansi terkait, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Program ini mendukung pencapaian SDG 8 dan SDG 12, serta bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas UMKM PKH agar lebih kompetitif dan berdaya saing. Melalui kegiatan ini, kualitas UMKM lokal diharapkan meningkat sehingga mampu bersaing pada tingkat regional maupun nasional.
