Abstract

Engineering is one of the construction activities that affect the natural environments as fundamental as the explorations of materials, design, construction, post-construction and other processes and result in the consumption of energy in large quantities and will continue to produce waste, and this problem will lead to changes significant in the ecological environment. Therefore, as one of the pillars in the construction industry, not only need develop engineering to meet the needs of engineering of economic and social development solely but also pay attention to environmental protection, resource conservation and promote sustainable development strategy. The reason mentioned above and to better understand the concept of sustainable development, this research seeks to study sustainable development strategy from an engineering perspective and discuses sustainable development from the pre eliminate design stage, technical design and construction implementation. Abstract

Permasalahan pengelolaan sampah, terutama praktik pembakaran terbuka, di RT 01 RW 08 Kelurahan Belendung, Kota Tangerang, menyebabkan polusi udara yang mengganggu kesehatan dan mencemari lingkungan. Wilayah padat penduduk ini memiliki keterbatasan fasilitas pengelolaan sampah terpusat, sehingga mayoritas warga membakar sampah rumah tangga di pekarangan. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan memberikan solusi edukatif melalui Sosialisasi Pengelolaan Sampah dan edukasi sistem Incinerator Sederhana, sebagai upaya mentransformasi kebiasaan pembakaran terbuka menjadi metode yang lebih aman dan berwawasan lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dan presentasi yang dilaksanakan di Mushola RT 01 RW 08 pada November 2025, meliputi pemaparan materi pemilahan sampah, dampak polusi, dan cara kerja incinerator sederhana. Hasil PkM menunjukkan respons positif dengan partisipasi 20 warga dan 90% peserta memahami konsep dasar incinerator. Meskipun demikian, tantangan keberlanjutan berupa faktor kebiasaan dan ketiadaan infrastruktur fisik bersama masih menjadi kendala. Keberhasilan jangka panjang memerlukan tindak lanjut konkret dari pemerintah setempat, yaitu penyediaan lahan khusus untuk fasilitas pengelolaan sampah bersama.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pemeliharaan tanaman di Desa Neglasaimelalui penerapan teknologi otomatis berbasis time. Permasalahn utama yang di hadapi masyarakat adalah penyiraman tanaman yang masih manual sehingga kurang teratur dan tidak efisien. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), dengan melibatkan masyarakat sebagai subjek dan mitra kegiatan. Prosedur yang dilakukan meliputi survey, wawancara warga, perijinan, perancangan dan pemasangan penyiraman sistem penyiraman otomatis serta penyuluhan dan evaluasi. Subjek kegiatan warga yang mengelola tanaman pekarangan dan kebin lingkungan. Analisis dilakukan secara deskritif dengan membandingkan kondisi sebelum dan sesudah penerapan tenologi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan keteraturan penyiraman, penghematan waktu perawatan tanaman, serta peningkatan pemahaman warga terkait teknologi tepat guna. Kesimpulannya, digitalisasi pemeliharaan tanaman berbasis timer terbukti efektif dalam mendukung dalam praktik urban farming yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The homogenizer is one of the critical machines in the NonDairy Creamer production process due to its role in producing stable and uniform emulsions. Frequent failures in the homogenizer can increase downtime and reduce production effectiveness. This study aimed to identify critical components causing downtime, determine appropriate maintenance strategies using the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) approach, and evaluate the impact of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) implementation on homogenizer reliability at PT CRM. The research methods included downtime analysis, calculation of Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Logic Tree Analysis (LTA), and the development of maintenance strategies based on RCM integrated with TPM. The results showed that the homogenizer contributed 2,007 minutes or 69% of total production downtime. The most critical component was the plunger gasket with a Risk Priority Number (RPN) of 504. The implementation of the proposed maintenance strategy reduced downtime by 69%, decreased failure frequency by 67%, increased MTTF from 4,623.75 minutes to 13,871.25 minutes, and reduced MTTR from 83.63 minutes to 76.25 minutes. These findings indicate that the integration of RCM and TPM effectively improves homogenizer reliability and supports sustainable production performance.

Abstract

Demand forecasting plays a crucial role in production planning and inventory control, particularly in the food industry, which is characterized by fluctuating demand and limited product shelf life. This study aims to analyze and apply demand forecasting methods for MX food products in order to improve the accuracy of production planning and inventory control at PT XYZ. Historical sales data are utilized to generate demand forecasts by comparing several quantitative methods, including moving average, exponential smoothing, and linear regression. The accuracy of each forecasting method is evaluated using forecasting error measurements such as Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD), Mean Squared Error (MSE), and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The results indicate that the method with the lowest forecasting error provides more accurate demand estimates, enabling the company to reduce excess inventory and stock shortages. Improved forecasting accuracy contributes to more efficient production planning, lower inventory costs, and better managerial decision-making at PT XYZ.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya pemahaman pelaku UMKM desa binaan di Kabupaten Tangerang mengenai pentingnya legalitas usaha sebagai dasar penguatan kapasitas dan keberlanjutan bisnis. Program ini bertujuan memberikan pemahaman komprehensif tentang manfaat legalitas, jenis-jenis perizinan, serta mendorong kemampuan pelaku usaha untuk mengurus dokumen legalitas secara mandiri. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui sosialisasi materi legalitas, diskusi interaktif, observasi lapangan, serta pendampingan teknis menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif berbasis participatory action. Selama kegiatan, peserta mendapatkan penjelasan mengenai alur perizinan seperti NIB, PIRT, dan sertifikasi halal, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan praktik langsung mempersiapkan dokumen dan membuat akun perizinan daring. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan kesiapan UMKM untuk memenuhi legalitas usaha, di mana mayoritas peserta mampu mengenali prosedur, manfaat, dan langkah administratif yang diperlukan. Program ini memberikan indikasi kuat bahwa pendampingan langsung dan berbasis partisipasi efektif dalam memperkuat literasi legalitas serta mendorong transformasi perilaku menuju kepatuhan usaha yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Product quality is one of the primary factors determining the competitiveness ofmanufacturing companies. A high defect rate increases production costs, reduces productivity,and decreases customer satisfaction. PT Changhong Electric Indonesia continues to experiencea defect rate in the Air Conditioner (AC) Indoor production process that exceeds thecompany's quality standard of 2%. This study aims to identify the major causes of productdefects, evaluate process capability using the Six Sigma methodology, and determine theoptimal process parameter combination through the Taguchi approach. This researchemployed a quantitative approach by integrating the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, andControl (DMAIC) cycle with the Taguchi method. Research data were collected from production reports covering the period from June 2025 to January 2026, direct observations,interviews, and company documentation. The analytical techniques included Critical toQuality (CTQ), Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO), sigma level analysis, Paretodiagram, Fishbone diagram, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Orthogonal Array, and Signalto-Noise Ratio (SNR). The results revealed seven major defect categories, with foreignmaterial defects accounting for 26.0%, unfastened components for 20.7%, and missing spareparts for 14.6% of total defects. The average DPMO was 22,758, with a process capability of3.50 sigma, indicating that the manufacturing process remains at the average industrialperformance level. Abstract

Product quality is one of the important factors in maintaining customer satisfaction and increasing the competitiveness of cosmetic manufacturing companies. PT PTI, as a cosmetic manufacturing company, still faces problems related to the high number of Rejects in the powder packaging process, especially bottom sticker tearing defects, inject hitting printing defects, and cut bottom sticker defects. The high Reject rate causes decreased production effectiveness, increased material waste, higher production costs, and reduced packaging quality. This study aims to identify the factors causing Rejects in the powder packaging process and to determine improvement proposals to reduce the Reject rate in Powder Division Zone A at PT PTI. The methods used in this study are the Plan, Do, Check, Action (PDCA) approach and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Data processing was carried out using histograms, Pareto diagrams, fishbone diagrams, and Risk Priority Number (RPN) analysis to determine improvement priorities based on the highest level of failure risk. The research data were obtained from production and Reject data during the W36 to W41 period in 2025 at Line PNP 03 of Powder Division Zone A. The results showed that the dominant Reject type was bottom sticker tearing, with a total Reject of 5,200 pcs or 45.87% of the total Rejects. Based on the FMEA analysis, the highest RPN value obtained was 567 for the bottom sticker tearing defect, making it the main priority for corrective actions. The main causes of the Rejects originated from machine factors, work methods, materials, and operators. The proposed improvements include periodic machine setting inspections, improving operator accuracy, routine machine maintenance, establishing machine setting standards, and increasing supervision in the packaging process. The implementation of the improvements showed a decrease in the number of Rejects in the powder packaging process. By implementing the PDCA and FMEA methods, the company is expected to improve product quality, reduce the number of Rejects, and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the production process in Powder Division Zone A at PT PTI in a sustainable and optimal manner.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi overstock dan stockout pada beberapa produk Gearbox akibat pengendalian persediaan yang masih dilakukan secara manual, sehingga proses pengolahan data dan pengambilan keputusan pengadaan belum berjalan secara sistematis. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini meliputi analisis kondisi aktual persediaan, penerapan metode peramalan, analisis ABC, dan Min-Max dalam pengendalian persediaan, serta pengembangan sistem pendukung keputusan berbasis Web untuk membantu pengelolaan stok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi peramalan dengan metode Moving Average (MA), Weighted Moving Average (WMA), dan Holt-Winter; analisis ABC untuk menentukan prioritas pengendalian persediaan, serta metode Min-Max untuk menentukan safety stock, minimum stock, maximum stock, dan reorder point (ROP). Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan bahwa produk Gearbox 9S Nylon, Gearbox 4S Nylon, dan Gearbox 4S Besi mengalami overstock, sedangkan Gearbox 9S Besi mengalami stockout. Hasil analisis ABC mengklasifikasikan Gearbox 9S Nylon ke dalam kategori A dan Gearbox 9S Besi ke dalam kategori C. Metode Holt-Winter terpilih sebagai metode peramalan terbaik dengan tingkat kesalahan peramalan terendah (MAPE sebesar 29,93% pada Gearbox 9S Nylon dan 14,79% pada Gearbox 9S Besi) dibandingkan metode MA dan WMA. Sistem pendukung keputusan berbasis Web yang dikembangkan berhasil mengintegrasikan proses peramalan , analisis ABC, dan Min-Max, dengan hasil validasi yang konsisten dengan perhitungan manual menggunakan Microsoft Excel, serta mampu mengurangi tahapan proses sebesar 50,00% pada peramalan  dan masing-masing 40,00% pada analisis ABC dan Min-Max. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan mampu membantu pengendalian persediaan produk Gearbox, mengurangi risiko overstock  dan stockout, serta meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi pengelolaan persediaan di Industri Akuakultur.

Abstract

Abstract: Flour dust exposure in the mixing process of the biscuit manufacturing industry is a significant occupational hazard that may lead to occupational diseases and workplace accidents if not effectively controlled. This study aims to identify occupational safety and health (OSH) hazards, analyze the level of risk associated with flour dust exposure, prioritize risks using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method, and develop risk control recommendations for the mixing area at PT X. The study employed a mixed-methods approach with a case study design. Data were collected through field observations, semi-structured interviews, flour dust concentration measurements, documentation, and company document reviews. Risk analysis was conducted using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) method, while improvement priorities were determined using the Risk Priority Number (RPN) derived from FMEA. The results revealed that flour bag opening, raw material loading into the mixer, and the mixing process were the primary sources of flour dust exposure with the highest risk levels. HIRARC identified four high-risk activities and three medium-risk activities. FMEA analysis indicated that inadequate ventilation, workers' exposure to flour dust, and non-compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) use had the highest RPN values, making them the top priorities for risk control. Recommended control measures include optimizing local exhaust ventilation (LEV), improving the effectiveness of the dust collector system, strengthening administrative controls, providing regular OSH training, and increasing compliance with the use of N95 respirators. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for implementing OSH risk management in the food manufacturing industry. Keyword: occupational safety and health, flour dust exposure, HIRARC, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), mixed methods, biscuit manufacturing industry.   Abstrak: Paparan debu tepung pada lini proses mixing industri biskuit merupakan salah satu sumber bahaya yang berpotensi menyebabkan penyakit akibat kerja dan kecelakaan kerja apabila tidak dikendalikan secara efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi potensi bahaya keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3), menganalisis tingkat risiko paparan debu tepung, menentukan prioritas risiko menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), serta menyusun rekomendasi pengendalian risiko pada area mixing PT X. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods dengan desain studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, pengukuran konsentrasi debu, dokumentasi, dan telaah dokumen perusahaan. Analisis risiko dilakukan menggunakan metode Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC), sedangkan prioritas perbaikan ditentukan melalui perhitungan Risk Priority Number (RPN) pada metode FMEA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas pembukaan karung tepung, penuangan bahan baku ke dalam mixer, dan proses mixing merupakan sumber paparan debu dengan tingkat risiko tertinggi. HIRARC mengidentifikasi empat aktivitas berisiko tinggi dan tiga aktivitas berisiko sedang. Analisis FMEA menunjukkan bahwa ventilasi yang belum optimal, paparan debu terhadap pekerja, dan ketidakpatuhan penggunaan alat pelindung diri memiliki nilai RPN tertinggi. Rekomendasi pengendalian meliputi optimalisasi local exhaust ventilation (LEV), peningkatan efektivitas dust collector, penguatan pengendalian administratif, pelatihan K3 secara berkala, serta peningkatan kepatuhan penggunaan respirator N95. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi acuan dalam penerapan manajemen risiko K3 pada industri makanan. Kata kunci: keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja, debu tepung, HIRARC, FMEA, mixed methods, industri biskuit.
