Abstract

Motivasi dalam belajar adalah karakteristik yang cenderung tetap pada setiap individu. Kehadiran motivasi belajar memiliki peran penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Semakin kuat dan positif minat serta motivasi seseorang, akan berdampak pada hasil belajar yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara Motivasi Belajar dan Prestasi Belajar siswa di Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Ueesi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Bulan Oktober Tahun 2022 di SMA Negeri 1 Ueesi dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Siswa Kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Ueesi menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini, dan sebanyak 23 siswa diambil sebagai sampel dengan menggunakan metode total sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan tes, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil pengolahan dan analisis data menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Ueesi memiliki rata-rata skor sebesar 75,69%, yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Sementara itu, rata-rata prestasi belajar siswa adalah 75,26%, juga masuk dalam kategori tinggi. Melalui uji t, ditemukan bahwa nilai thitung sebesar 5,05, melebihi nilai signifikansi 0,05. Oleh karena itu, hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Artinya, terdapat keterkaitan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan prestasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Kemampuan untuk berpikir kritis dapat dianggap sebagai keterampilan yang sangat bermanfaat dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Berpikir kritis adalah keterampilan yang dipelajari yang membutuhkan waktu dan latihan. Kemampuan ini tidak dibawa sejak lahir atau diturunkan. Kemampuan untuk berpikir secara kritis, reflektif, sistematis, dan konstruktif untuk membuat pilihan dan kesimpulan yang rasional dikenal sebagai berfikir kritis. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dinilai dalam penelitian ini. Studi ini meneliti siswa MIA 1 kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Lalolae. Berdasarkan hasilnya, analisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Lalolae menunjukkan bahwa indikator Memberikan Penjelasan Sederhana menerima skor tertinggi, yaitu 67%, dengan kriteria kemampuan berpikir kritis yang cukup. Indikator Membangun Keterampilan Dasar juga menerima skor tertinggi, yaitu 52%, dengan kriteria kemampuan berpikir kritis yang cukup. Temuan penelitian ini dapat memberikan gambaran tentang tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis yang dimiliki siswa, guru, dan orang-orang yang mengelola sekolah. Berdasarkan hasilnya, analisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Lalolae menemukan bahwa indikator Memberikan Penjelasan Sederhana menerima skor tertinggi, yaitu 67%, dengan kriteria kemampuan berpikir kritis yang cukup. Indikator Membangun Keterampilan Dasar juga menerima skor tertinggi, yaitu 52%, dengan kriteria kemampuan berpikir kritis yang cukup. Temuan penelitian ini dapat memberikan gambaran tentang seberapa baik guru, pengelola sekolah, dan siswa berpikir kritis.

Abstract

The Mekongga traditional house is one of the traditional houses in Southeast Sulawesi which is located in Kolaka Regency. The location of the Mekongga traditional house is next to the Khaera Ummah Kolaka Mosque which is one of the icons of Kolaka Regency. The location of the Mekongga traditional house is also close to Mandra Beach which of course attracts visitors to come to visit while relaxing. As a tourist destination, tourists are required to maintain cleanliness in the environment of the Mekongga Traditional House. The purpose of this service activity is to commemorate Waste Awareness Day on February 28 as well as efforts to manage the environment so that it is clean from waste. The method used is the method of observation and the method of participation. This activity was attended by 29 people consisting of lecturers and students. The trash that is cleaned is dominated by plastic waste in the form of straws, drink bottles, and snack bags which are difficult to decompose and can pollute the environment including the oceans. Activities are carried out smoothly by the plans that have been prepared. Environmental management activities through efforts to clean up trash in the Mekongga Traditional House environment have been successfully carried out.

Abstract

The biology learning scores of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Tinondo have not achieved the expected results. This is thought to be due to a lack of involvement in learning media, especially audio-visual media. Meanwhile, biology often involves complex and abstract concepts. Audio visual media such as animated videos can help students understand these concepts more clearly and concretely. Therefore, this research aims to determine the effect of implementing animated videos on the biology learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Tinondo. This research was a pre-experiment type involving one experimental class with a total of 17 students. Class determination uses totally sampling technique. Through the test technique, pre-test and post-test learning results test sheets are used, each consisting of 10 multiple choice questions and 3 essay questions. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially (paired-sample t-test). The research results showed that the average student pre-test score was 39.18 (poor category) and student post-test score was 77.65 (good category). From the results of hypothesis testing, a sig value was obtained. 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the application of animated videos on the biology learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Tinondo.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of giving POC to tofu waste production of cayenne pepper plants, as well as knowing the effective POC dose for cayenne pepper plants. This research was carried out from November 2022 to January 2023 and took place in Sea Village, Kolaka Regency. This type of research includes experimental research consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications to obtain 20 polybags with a total of 20 research plants. The parameters observed were the number of fruits (fruit) and fruit weight (grams). The research results show that from the parametric test using analysis of variance (ANOVA), the parameter data value for the number of fruit is 0.082 and the weight of the fruit is 0.225; the significance value is more than 0.05, thus H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is no significant effect of giving tofu waste POC on the production of cayenne pepper plants. Keywords: Cayenne Pepper Plants ( Capsicum frutescens L.), Tofu Waste POC, and Production

Abstract

Online learning was carried out during the Covid 19 pandemic. During online learning, many students were less active. This research aims to find out how interested students are in WhatsApp-based online learning in science subjects. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive research. The number of samples used in this research was 42 class VIII students at MTs Al-Hidayah Tosiba taken using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used in this research was a questionnaire with a total of 20 statement items. Student interest in learning can be seen from 4 indicators, namely: feelings of happiness, student interest, student attention and student involvement. The results of this research show that the indicator of feelings of happiness is 54.76% in the "moderate" category. The interest indicator is 45.24% in the "very low" category. The attention indicator is 35.71% in the "high" category. The engagement indicator is 45.24% in the "high" category. Overall, the average of the questionnaire data obtained was 53.85 with the highest percentage of 33.33% being in the "medium" category. Based on the results of this analysis, it can be concluded that students' interest in learning in WhatsApp-based online learning is moderate. Keywords: Interest in Learning, Science, Online Learning

Abstract

Public speaking adalah keterampilan krusial yang memungkinkan seseorang menyampaikan ide dengan jelas, membangun kepercayaan diri, dan mempengaruhi opini publik. Di dunia yang semakin terhubung, keterampilan ini menjadi semakin relevan, membuka peluang dalam karir dan kehidupan sehari-hari. Keterampilan ini mencakup penyusunan pidato yang logis, penggunaan intonasi dan bahasa tubuh yang tepat, serta pengelolaan waktu dan emosi saat berbicara. Namun, banyak orang, termasuk kelompok Salimah di Kabupaten Kolaka, menghadapi ketakutan dalam berbicara di depan umum. Kelompok Salimah, yang berpotensi besar sebagai pemimpin kegiatan keagamaan dan sosial, membutuhkan keterampilan ini untuk menyampaikan pesan-pesan positif secara lebih efektif. Peningkatan keterampilan ini akan memperkuat kapasitas organisasi dan memperbesar kontribusi mereka dalam pembangunan sosial dan spiritual. Untuk itu, pelatihan terstruktur dirancang, mencakup pengembangan pidato dan teknik penyampaian yang efektif. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 20 peserta dan terdiri dari tiga tahapan: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi untuk menilai praktik pidato dan dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan dengan 30% peserta berada pada kategori sangat baik, 50% baik, 15% cukup, dan 5% kurang. Kegiatan ini berhasil memberdayakan peserta untuk berperan lebih menonjol di komunitas dan memperkuat kontribusi sosial serta spiritual mereka

Abstract

The extracurricular activity of Youth Science Club (Kelompok Ilmiah Remaja/ KIR) will not succeed if it is not managed well by the school. The results of the observation indicate that the interest and potential of students in writing scientific papers are quite significant and highly relevant in supporting the strengthening of the Pancasila student profile. However, the KIR activities have not been well accommodated by the school, which underscores the necessity of conducting this community service activity. The focus and objective of this PKM activity is to provide training and support to partners in revitalizing extracurricular KIR activities so that they can be accommodated intensively using a blended learning approach with various real and virtual media. The results of the Community Service Program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/ PkM) with quantitative descriptive analysis show that the writing skills of the students at the beginning of the mentoring received an average score of 33.15, categorized as very poor, and improved at the end of the mentoring to 63.31, categorized as fairly good. The KIR mentoring teachers also experienced an improvement in their ability to guide students. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the teachers' understanding at the beginning of the mentoring was an average of 42.22% (categorized as insufficient), and by the end of the mentoring, it increased to 80.67%. (good catageory). Thus, through training and mentoring, they have a better understanding of the appropriate research methodology, effective mentoring techniques, and the use of technology in blended learning. Teachers have the potential to become more effective facilitators in helping students produce quality scientific work. This serves as the foundation for designing the KIR revitalization program with a collaborative and blended learning approach.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) assisted by Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based mind mapping on the digital literacy competency of biology education students at Sembilanbelas November University (USN) Kolaka. The sample used in this study was students of the 2021 batch of USN Kolaka. This study used a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research instrument was a digital literacy questionnaire compiled based on information, communication, content-creation, social-emotional, and problem-solving indicators. Data analysis was descriptive (average) and inferential (paired sample t-test). The findings indicated that biology education students' average posttest value for digital literacy competency was 77.96 > the average pretest value of 61.06. The significance value of digital literacy competency was 0.000 < the significance value of α of 0.05, so it can be inferred that the implementation of PjBL assisted by AI-based mind mapping can facilitate more innovative and interactive learning and encourage the development of students' digital skills.

Abstract

Pelatihan pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi melalui praktik pembelajaran di lingkup prodi pendidikan biologi USN Kolaka selama ini dinilai belum optimal. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pendekatan problem solving dipadu model project-based learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran hybrid. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-experimental menggunakan one-group pretest-posttest design dan melibatkan 12 orang mahasiswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Melalui teknik observasi, data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi keterampilan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi. Dari hasil uji paired sample t-test diperoleh nilai Sig. 0,000. Sedangkan uji N-Gain menunjukkan nilai 0,68 untuk keterampilan berpikir kritis dan 0,67 untuk keterampilan komunikasi. Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh penerapan pendekatan problem solving dipadu project-based learning dalam pembelajaran hybrid terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi mahasiswa dimana efektifitas perlakuan berada pada kategori “sedang”. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyarankan agar pendekatan problem solving yang dipadu dengan model project-based learning diadopsi secara lebih luas dalam kurikulum pendidikan tinggi, terutama dalam mata kuliah yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi. Hasil penelitian ini juga memberikan implikasi penting bagi pengembangan strategi pengajaran di era pembelajaran hybrid, di mana adaptasi dan inovasi dalam metode pengajaran menjadi kunci keberhasilan proses pembelajaran.
