Abstract

Desa Towua yang terletak di kecamatan Wundulako, kabupaten Kolaka, Sulawesi Tenggara. Desa ini merupakan desa yang letaknya dekat dengan wilayah pesisir pantai. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk menunjukkan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan dan mempertahankan pesisir pantai di Desa Towua. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode observasi, wawancara, dan penanaman. Penanaman mangrove ini melibatkan mahasiswa, beberapa aparat desa serta masyarakat desa towua. Bibit pohon mangrove yang di tanam di pesisir pantai Desa Towua berjumlah 100 pohon. Kegiatan penanaman mangrove ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya mangrove bagi wilayah pesisir terutama dalam mencegah abrasi diwilayah pesisir desa towua.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang sering ditemukan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran bagi anak-anak TKI di ICC Ladang Kosma, Malaysia adalah rendahnya minat dan hasil belajar siswa yang disebabkan kurang akses dan pelayanan pendidikan. Melalui Program MBKM Nasional dalam bentuk “Program Proyek Kemanusiaan” maka Perguruan Tinggi (MRPTNI) mengirimkan mahasiswa ke wilayah tersebut untuk membantu proses pembelajaran dan mendampingi anak-anak TKI. Salah satu pendekatan yang relevan untuk pembelajaran anak-anak tersebut adalah model kooperatif Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) berbantu media Google Lens yangdiharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar IPA pada anak-anak TKI di Malaysia, khususnya di ICC Ladang Kosma. Kegiatan PkM ini dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 27 November 2024 – 22 Februari 2025 dengan prosedur pelaksanaan yang meliputi: desain dan perancangan program, implementasi di lapangan, analisis hasil dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan media Google Lens memiliki dampak yang sangat positif terhadap peningkatan minat (skor rata-rata 90,83 kategori sangat tinggi) dan hasil belajar siswa (97,14 kategori sangat tinggi) pada materi Keragaman Hayati. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model STAD berbasis Google Lens sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar IPA pada anak-anak TKI ICC Ladang Kosma, Pahang di Malaysia.

Abstract

Learning at SMAN 1 Wundulako remains centered on lectures and textbooks. Although media such as PowerPoint and Canva have been used, their utilization has not been optimal. As a result, students tend to be passive and show low learning interest. Therefore, there is a need for innovative learning models and interactive media to enhance students' interest in learning. This study aims to examine the effect of implementing Project-Based Learning assisted by Kahoot media on students’ learning interest in biology. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The research design used was a posttest-only control group design. Instruments used to measure students' learning interest included questionnaires and interview sheets. Data were analyzed using a parametric test, namely the independent sample t-test, at a significance level of 0.05. The results of the hypothesis testing indicate a significant effect of Project-Based Learning assisted by Kahoot media on students’ learning interest in biology among Grade X students at SMAN 1 Wundulako. It can be concluded that the implementation of Project-Based Learning supported by Kahoot media can help improve students’ interest in learning biology in Grade X at SMAN 1 Wundulako.Keywords: Learning Interest, Project-Based Learning, Kahoot-Assisted Media

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Project Based Learning sebagai implementasi kurikulum merdeka terhadap keterampilan abad 21 mahasiswa pendidikan biologi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi, Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka pada mahasiswa Semester V yang memprogram mata kuliah Zoologi Vertebrata. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Pretest-Posttest Only Control Group Design dengan instrumen penelitian berupa tes essay yang dirancang berdasarkan indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Analisis deskriptif menunjukkan perbedaan nilai keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kreatif mahasiswa sebelum dan setelah mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan model Project Based Learning (PjBL). Rerata nilai postes keterampilan berpikir kritis (54,14) secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan rerata nilai pretes (41,67), sedangkan pada keterampilan berpikir kreatif, rerata nilai postes (52) juga secara signifikan lebih tinggi daripada rerata nilai pretes (42,10). Analisis inferensial dengan uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi untuk keterampilan berpikir kritis adalah 0,000 < 0,05, dan untuk keterampilan berpikir kreatif adalah 0,002 < 0,05. Dari hasil ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Project Based Learning (PjBL) efektif sebagai implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka terhadap keterampilan abad ke-21 mahasiswa pendidikan biologi. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kreatif mahasiswa dalam konteks pendidikan biologi.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) assisted by Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based mind mapping on the digital literacy competency of biology education students at Sembilanbelas November University (USN) Kolaka. The sample used in this study was students of the 2021 batch of USN Kolaka. This study used a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research instrument was a digital literacy questionnaire compiled based on information, communication, content-creation, social-emotional, and problem-solving indicators. Data analysis was descriptive (average) and inferential (paired sample t-test). The findings indicated that biology education students' average posttest value for digital literacy competency was 77.96 > the average pretest value of 61.06. The significance value of digital literacy competency was 0.000 < the significance value of α of 0.05, so it can be inferred that the implementation of PjBL assisted by AI-based mind mapping can facilitate more innovative and interactive learning and encourage the development of students' digital skills.

Abstract

Persepsi guru terhadap kurikulum merdeka membantu mengevaluasi dampak kurikulum terhadap pembelajaran. Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan menggali pandangan guru-guru biologi di empat sekolah yang sudah menerapkan kurikulum merdeka. Instrumen menggunakan pedoman wawancara yang disusun berdasarkan pedoman wawancara Jannah dan Harun tahun 2023.  Teknik Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara pada empat guru di sekolah yang telah menerapkan kurikulum merdeka. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa: (1) kurikulum merdeka dianggap lebih fleksibel dibanding kurikulum 2013; (2) penilaian sumatif dan formatif sangat ditekankan dalam kurikulum merdeka; (3) Nilai nilai P5 sudah diterapkan dalam pembelajaran namun belum maksimal; (4) penggunaan teknologi juga penting terutama dalam pembelajaran proyek; (5) guru sangat mendukung pembelajaran mandiri siswa meskipun peran sebagai fasilitator tetap diutamakan; (6) guru belum mengetahui sepenuhnya tentang respon siswa terhadap kurikulum ini karena penerapannya belum lama dilakukan; (7) kolaborasi antara guru biologi dalam memaksimalkan penerapan kurikulum ini telah dilakukan meskipun belum maksinal; (8) bagi guru, kurikulum ini memeliki kelebihan terutama dalam proses penyusunan perangkat; (9) sekolah sudah melakukan beberapa upaya agar penerapan kurikulum ini bagi guru dapat maksimal; (10) guru memerlukan pelatihan lebih lanjut mengenai implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun kurikulum merdeka dinilai lebih fleksibel, penerapannya masih memerlukan waktu untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam dari para guru, sehingga perlu adanya pelatihan lebih lanjut guna meningkatkan efektivitas implementasinya.

Abstract

The Mekongga traditional house is one of the traditional houses in Southeast Sulawesi which is located in Kolaka Regency. The location of the Mekongga traditional house is next to the Khaera Ummah Kolaka Mosque which is one of the icons of Kolaka Regency. The location of the Mekongga traditional house is also close to Mandra Beach which of course attracts visitors to come to visit while relaxing. As a tourist destination, tourists are required to maintain cleanliness in the environment of the Mekongga Traditional House. The purpose of this service activity is to commemorate Waste Awareness Day on February 28 as well as efforts to manage the environment so that it is clean from waste. The method used is the method of observation and the method of participation. This activity was attended by 29 people consisting of lecturers and students. The trash that is cleaned is dominated by plastic waste in the form of straws, drink bottles, and snack bags which are difficult to decompose and can pollute the environment including the oceans. Activities are carried out smoothly by the plans that have been prepared. Environmental management activities through efforts to clean up trash in the Mekongga Traditional House environment have been successfully carried out.

Abstract

The biology learning scores of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Tinondo have not achieved the expected results. This is thought to be due to a lack of involvement in learning media, especially audio-visual media. Meanwhile, biology often involves complex and abstract concepts. Audio visual media such as animated videos can help students understand these concepts more clearly and concretely. Therefore, this research aims to determine the effect of implementing animated videos on the biology learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Tinondo. This research was a pre-experiment type involving one experimental class with a total of 17 students. Class determination uses totally sampling technique. Through the test technique, pre-test and post-test learning results test sheets are used, each consisting of 10 multiple choice questions and 3 essay questions. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially (paired-sample t-test). The research results showed that the average student pre-test score was 39.18 (poor category) and student post-test score was 77.65 (good category). From the results of hypothesis testing, a sig value was obtained. 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the application of animated videos on the biology learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Tinondo.

Abstract

Banyaknya sampah yang berserakan di pesisir Pantai Kayu Angin berasal dari pengujung ataupun masyarakat itu sendiri, sehingga menjadi sesuatu yang mengkhawatirkan, karena sampah plastik sulit terurai dan dapat menyebabkan lingkungan tercemar. Program ini merupakan rangkaian dari kegiatan Biologi Camp 2025 yang diselenggarakan oleh Himpunan Mahasiswa program Studi pendidikan Biologi, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka. Tujuan diadakannya kegiatan pengabdian ini ialah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat Desa Liku dalam melestarikan pesisir pantai melalui bakti sosial di Pantai Kayu Angin. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Pantai Kayu Angin, Desa Liku, Kabupaten Kolaka melalui edukasi, seperti sosialisasi dan bakti sosial berupa aksi bersih pantai. Pendekatan partisipatif digunakan, yaitu dengan melibatkan masyarakat secara aktif melalui tiga tahapan utama, yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasilnya, pesisir pantai bersih dari sampah-sampah yang berserakan. Masyarakat penuh antusias membersihkan sampah-sampah yang berserakan di pesisir pantai. Sampah yang banyak ditemukan pada saat kegiatan bersih-bersih di pesisir Pantai Kayu Angin merupakan jenis sampah abiotik, seperti plastik, kemasan minuman maupun makanan ringan. Sampah-sampah tersebut berasal dari pengunjung dan masyarakat sekitar. Pelaksana dan peserta berkerja sama dan berhasil mengumpulkan sebanyak 10 kantong dengan lebar 60 cm dan tinggi 100 cm, sehingga pesisir pantai terlihat bersih dan indah dibandingkan sebelum kegiatan dilakukan. Beberapa masyarakat menyampaikan keinginan untuk melanjutkan kegiatan serupa secara rutin. Hal tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa kegiatan edukatif dan partisipatif memiliki potensi sebagai pendekatan awal dalam menumbukan dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pelestarian lingkungan pesisir.

Abstract

Background: The development of students’ critical thinking skills requires learning media that actively engage students in problem analysis, reasoning, and decision-making processes. However, the use of electronic student worksheets (E-LKPD) in schools is still limited and often does not fully integrate problem-based learning principles or contextual environmental issues. Many available LKPDs remain procedural and teacher-centered, reducing opportunities for students to practice higher-order thinking skills independently. This condition indicates the need for innovative E-LKPD that are systematically designed to support critical thinking development through problem-based learning approaches. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of an environment-based Problem-Based Learning (PBL) electronic student worksheet (E-LKPD) on ecosystem content to enhance senior high school students’ critical thinking skills. Methodology: This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The product was validated by two experts using a Likert-scale-based expert validation questionnaire covering content, media, and language aspects. Practicality testing involved one biology teacher and nineteen students, while effectiveness was analyzed using a pretest–posttest design with the Shapiro–Wilk test and paired t-test. Findings: The validation results obtained an average percentage of 91%, categorized as very valid. Practicality testing involving 1 teacher and 19 students SMAN 1 Toari showed positive responses with a percentage of 84%, classified as very practical. The effectiveness of the E-LKPD was evidenced by an increase in the average score from 82.68 to 89.46 among students of class X.4 at MAN 1 Kolaka, along with a significance value of 0.000, indicating a significant difference after the implementation of the E-LKPD. Contribution: These findings indicate that the environmental-based PBL E-LKPD contributes to the design of biology learning by providing a structured and interactive digital worksheet that facilitates problem-oriented learning and critical thinking development. The integration of contextual environmental issues within the E-LKPD supports meaningful ecosystem learning and reinforces the role of digital learning media in promoting active, analytical, and student-centered biology instruction
