Abstract

Membaca merupakan keterampilan yang sangat penting dan menjadi pusat perhatian dalam usaha mengembangkan pendidikan. Belajar membaca merupakan langkah awal menuju tahap kemampuan membaca. Kemampuan membaca saat ini tidak hanya meliputi kemampuan mengenal simbol huruf tetapi mampu menginterpretasi  sehingga mampu mengomunikasikannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis permasalahan membaca di Sekolah Dasar Kota Tasikmalaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa sekolah dasar yang berjumlah 120 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan memperhatikan individu dan tempat yang diteliti, serta menganalisis data dengan cara yang bersifat induktif (berdasarkan temuan lapangan) dan deduktif (berdasarkan teori yang ada). Hasil dari penelitian mencakup refleksi peneliti, deskripsi dan interpretasi tentang masalah, serta kontribusi penelitian peneliti memfokuskan tiga aspek pendekatan fenomenologi. Adapun aspek tersebut meliputi; masalah apa yang terjadi, bagaimana masalah itu terjadi, kemudian bagaimana mengembangkan deskripsi-deskripsi yang mencakup permasalahan dari objek yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek kesadaran fonologis, kemampuan fonik, kekayaan kosakata terbukti unggul daripada kemampuan pada aspek kelancaran dan keterapahaman membaca. Temuan ini menyimpulkan bahwa beberapa sekolah yang telah menerapkan kurikulum merdeka cenderung menguasai aspek fonem, fonik dan kosakata, namun memiliki aspek fluency yang kurang baik dan pemahaman yang lemah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pameran poster digital dapat meningkatkan motivasi anak berkreasi melalui proses pembuatan poster dan kualitas poster hasil karya anak pada pameran digital. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah 17 siswa kelas 5 SD Negeri Mega Eltra. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, angket respon siswa, penilaian poster digital, dan wawancara. Tahapan pelaksanaannya meliputi penjelasan penggunaan Canva dan poster, penentuan tema poster, praktik pembuatan poster, penilaian poster digital, dan pelaksanaan pameran digital. Kualitas poster karya anak-anak pada pameran digital secara umum baik. Poster-poster ini memiliki desain yang menarik, isi yang informatif, dan pesan yang tersampaikan dengan baik. Respon positif siswa terlihat dari hasil angket mengenai pameran poster digital. Siswa menganggap pameran poster digital menarik, menyenangkan, dan dapat membantu mereka belajar. Siswa saat diwawancara mengatakan bahwa mereka merasa lebih percaya diri, bangga dengan karya mereka, dan termotivasi untuk terus berkreasi setelah mengikuti pameran poster digital. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pameran poster digital dapat meningkatkan motivasi anak untuk berkreasi.

Abstract

The nature of learning mathematics in elementary schools is learning that challenges students. Challenging learning is certainly learning that can hone problem solving skills. One of the learning approaches that can bridge problem solving skills is the Realistic Mathematics Education. RME is an approach to learning mathematics that has the view that mathematics needs to be taught contextually. Seeing learning at school tends to be less related to everyday life. The teacher does not facilitate students in orienting contextual daily problems. The daily assessment learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN Mega Eltra are 70%, or as many as 12 students out of 17 students in total, still below the minimum completeness criteria. This type of research is classroom action research. The research subjects were students of grade IV (four) SD Negeri Mega Eltra, Kesambi District, Cirebon City, the data collection technique was using a test. From the results of the research that has been done, the problem-solving ability in the first cycle obtained from the test shows that the average value of the problem-solving ability test results is 60 with a percentage of 60% with an ability level of Fairly Able. And in cycle II the average value of problem solving ability is 85 with a percentage of 85% with the ability level Able. This shows that the application of RME can improve problem solving skills in fractional material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse student’s speed reading skill after participating the learning of reading by Skimming technique of digital newspaper at 5th grade in Elementary School. This study was practiced at one of Elementary School in Kecamatan Sumber, Kabupaten Cirebon. The subject of this activity is 25 students of 5th grade. This study used Action Research Method. Based on the results of the analysis, there was an increase in the aspect of student test scores in the pre-research with a score of 70 by 40%, at the end of the first cycle a score of 60% was obtained, and at the end of the second cycle the score increased to 84%. The results of speed reading skills in cycle II have exceeded the specified target. Based on the results of observations made, data were obtained that showed success in improving speed reading skills and increasing student’s understanding in the learning process using the Skimming technique. Thus, it can be concluded that the Skimming technique is able to improve the speed reading skills of 5th grade students in one of the public elementary schools in Kecamatan Sumber, especially in the text contained in digital newspapers, in addition to increasing speed reading skills, there is also a better change in the attitudes of participants students as a form of habituation of discipline in speed reading activities and implemented in other activities in the learning process.

Abstract

The ability to write explanatory text is a process of expressing ideas and thoughts written in the form of sentences based on facts and phenomena that occur so that the reader knows the information. The purpose of this study was to describe students' ability to write explanatory texts in grade VI elementary school students using the aid of media images, explain students' obstacles in writing explanatory texts and find solutions given to overcome students who are less able to write explanatory texts. The type of method used in this research is to use a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sample of class VI Elementary School students is 32 people. The research technique is by tests, observations, and interviews. The assessment guide includes aspects of the suitability of the theme with the content, text structure, use of language, and punctuation. Based on the research results obtained an average of 69.75. The suitability of the theme with content is 18.28, text structure is 21.00, language use is 15.24, and punctuation is 15.23. The lowest score is in the use of language and punctuation. Students still do not understand the use of punctuation marks in a sentence, and the use of language is not yet structured, because students lack confidence, lack knowledge, and language in making an essay. Requires varied methods, writing experience, and literate culture to stimulate students in writing.

Abstract

Kurangnya minat peserta didik dalam mempelajari mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia khususnya materi pantun. Tak hanya itu, peserta didik seringkali merasa bosan jika pembelajaran tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran yang nyata. Tujuan dari penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah untuk mengembangkan produk media pembelajaran yang disebut animasi video KATUN (Kania Berpantun). Model Hannafin dan Peck digunakan dalam proses pengembangan animasi video, yang meliputi tiga langkah: analisis, desain, dan implementasi. Metode pengumpulan data ini menggunakan metode angket dan tes. Penelitian ini melibatkan beberapa subjek yaitu 1 ahli materi, 1 ahli media pembelajaran, 5 uji coba individu, 20 peserta didikuji coba kelompok kecil, 44 peserta didiksebagai pengguna produk pada tahap diseminasi, dan 3 wali kelas kelas V sebagai asesor pengguna produk. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan program SPSS versi 26. Validitas materi kurang lebih 82,5%, dan validitas media pembelajaran kurang lebih 90%. Uji coba perorangan dengan rata-rata 85%, 95%, 95%, 90%, 85%, dan uji coba kelompok kecil dengan rata-rata 85%. Hasil evaluasi produk saat diimplementasikan di sekolah yang berbeda adalah 92,9% untuk VA dan 88,75% untuk VB. Hasil pengujian produk oleh guru kelas V sebagai pengguna produk adalah 76,6%, 80%, dan 87%. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta didik dalam mempelajari dan membuat pantun.  Disimpulkan bahwa video animasi KATUN (Kania Berpantun) mudah digunakan dan membantu dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of less than optimal media in Indonesian language learning, especially poetry material. This is because of the lack of creativity of teachers in utilizing technology and learning is only centered on textbooks so that students find it difficult to understand the learning materials delivered by teachers. The purpose of this research is to develop learning media in the form of an Android-based application "Dimensi". The research method used in this study is the Design and Development (D&D) method with the research design following the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) model. The subject of this study is grade V elementary school students with a total of 31 elementary school students in Rancaekek. The five research results according to the stages of ADDIE are as follows. 1) "Dimensi" media is developed based on an analysis of the needs of teachers and students, including the lack of learning media facilities that can support the learning process as a learning medium for poetry material in grade V of elementary school 2) The design stage is carried out by producing design components that will be contained in the "Dimensi" media, 3) The "Dimensi" media is developed using Kodular as the main application in the form of an android-based application (apk) with memory storage of 9.9 MB, 4) "Dimensi" media was implemented and evaluated through an expert validation test with an average percentage of 91% obtained by media experts, 93% by material experts, and 77%, 5) The results of student responses showed a percentage assessment of the Android application-based "Dimensi" media of 95% in the limited test and 92% in the broad test with very good criteria and can be used as a learning medium in the Indonesian content of class V poetry material for student.

Abstract

Literature learning is less interested by elementary school students. One of the reasons is that teaching materials are less attractive to students because they only used textbooks provided by the government. This research aims to describe the children’s story “Kitty dan Kompetisi Lampion” as an alternative literature reading teaching material in elementary school. This research used a qualitative approach with content analysis methods. Data comes from the children’s story book “Kitty dan Kompetisi Lampion” by Paula Harisson. Data was collected through documentation studies. Researchers as a human instrument. The data analysis technique uses data collection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research foound that the children’s story “Kitty dan Kompetisi Lampion” by Paula Harisson has both intrinsic such as theme, storyline, background or setting, characterization, messages, point of view, conflict; and extrinsic story elements consisting of the values of the story and the author’s background. Kitty’s personality structure consists of the id which is realized through the process of imagining and shown through feelings; the ego which is shown in reasoning; and the superego through action, words and advice which reflects society’s moral values. The story “Kitty dan Kompetisi Lampion” is eligibility criteria for teaching materials in terms of language, psychology, and cultural background. The linguistic dimension shows that this book is suitable for high class students. From a psychological dimension, this story book develops character values for its readers which are present in an interesting way. From the cultural background dimension, the culture shown in this book is appropriate with Indonesian culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berbentuk sebuah pengembangan bahan ajar materi teks Bahasa Indonesia berbasis budaya Jawa Barat untuk peserta didik SD Fase C dalam bentuk buku teks pendamping e-book. Minimnya bahan ajar yang merepresentasikan budaya lokal dalam buku paket yang digunakan sekolah menjadi latar belakang utama penelitian ini. Model pengembangan yang digunakan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Buku teks pendamping e-book ini dirancang selaras dengan Kurikulum Merdeka dan mendukung peningkatan literasi peserta didik melalui berbagai jenis teks, yaitu teks biografi, narasi, deskripsi dan prosedur yang mengandung bacaan tema budaya Jawa Barat. Buku ini terdiri dari 80 teks dilengkapi dengan 400 soal latihan AKM literasi level 3 berbasis digital, ilustrasi visual, animasi, video pembelajaran, puzzle, riwayat penyimpanan, forum diskusi dan QR code untuk memperkaya pengalaman belajar peserta didik. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar ini memiliki tingkat validitas tinggi dalam aspek isi, kebahasaan, dan penyajian. Implementasi metode evaluasi satu-satu di tiga daerah sekolah dasar Jawa Barat dengan melibatkan 36 peserta didik menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman membaca dan minat belajar peserta didik terhadap teks berbasis budaya lokal. Respon guru dan peserta didik positif, terutama dalam aspek keterbacaan, daya tarik, dan keterlibatan aktif dalam pembelajaran. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu bahan ajar yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar yang kontekstual dan mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya pengembangan lebih lanjut bahan ajar berbasis budaya lokal guna mendukung pelestarian budaya lokal melalui pendidikan.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Android application-based learning media for writing explanatory texts for elementary school students. This media was developed in response to students' weak ability to compose explanatory texts according to the rules, which is caused by limited understanding of text structure and lack of internal motivation to write. The research method used is Design and Development (D&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The product developed is an Android application using Smart Apps Creator, equipped with materials, learning videos, quizzes, writing features, and an automatic correction system. The validation results by material experts showed a feasibility score of 85.33% and media experts 96.36%, which is included in the very feasible category. The trial on students showed very practical results, with a score of 84.95% in small groups and 88.82% in large groups. This application is declared feasible and practical for use in learning to write explanatory texts in grade V of elementary school, and is able to improve students' understanding of text structure and writing skills independently and interactively.
