Abstract

Pengabdian ini memiliki tujuan untuk memberikan literasi terkait kesehatan keluarga berbasis community engagement dan meningkatkan keterampilan mitra dalam menanam tanaman obat keluarga secara mandiri. Mitra yang dilibatkan adalah kelompok perempuan di Kelurahan Sawojajar. Kegiatan pengabdian ini memakan waktu sekitar tiga bulan dan melibatkan 20 peserta dalam mengikuti penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Metode pengabdian meliputi meliputi observasi, koordinasi dan mobilisasi, penyuluhan, pelatihan pemantauan, panen dan evaluasi. Kegiatan utama pengabdian adalah berupa penyuluhan community engagement dan komunikasi kesehatan, pelatihan menanam tanaman obat bagi keluarga serta melakukan panen. Pengabdian dilakukan Jalan Danau Limboto, Kelurahan Sawojajar Malang, selama tiga bulan mulai bulan Januari hingga Maret 2022. Kelompok perempuan berhasil melakukan panen tanaman obat keluarga yang ditanamanya sendiri dan merencanakan jenis tanaman pada masa tanam selanjutnya. Selain itu, konsep community engagement dan komunikasi kesehatan keluarga dapat dipahami dan diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

This service aims to increase the harvest yields of the Green Cemara Farm Women's Group in Malang City and support food security in urban settlements. The combination of residential communities, empowerment, and sustainable agriculture presents an exciting path to addressing this pressing issue. Empowering housing communities through the application of hydroorganics offers a transformative approach to overcoming challenges. Problems with production partners selling organic vegetables and fulfillment for housing residents. The implementation method goes through four stages, namely: identification of problems and needs, program design, implementation and evaluation. The activities carried out are creating a hydroorganic system and carrying out planting using hydroganic media. Then carry out hydroorganic training so that harvest results are effective. As hydroganic practices grow in popularity around the world, this dedication underscores their important role in improving food security, encouraging sustainable urban agriculture, and encouraging the empowerment of residential communities. The results reflect the potential for expanding the hydroorganic movement to engage more residential residents and address contemporary food security challenges.

Abstract

This community service focuses on increasing community resilience through the introduction of greenhouse technology and drip irrigation systems for home garden farming among housewives in housing complexes. This initiative is to increase household food security, carried out in collaboration with the Sustainable Food Yard Group (P2L) of Greenliving Housing, Gadang Village, Malang City. The implementation methods include: identifying partner conditions, designing programs and technical implementation, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. The application of these modern agricultural techniques not only reduces water use but also increases crop yields, contributing to the sustainability of the community as a whole. This program emphasizes the importance of environmental management, independence, and the role of women in fostering resilient communities that are able to face the challenges of food insecurity. The results show a significant positive impact on household food production, highlighting the potential for this practice to be adopted by the wider community.
