Abstract

Abstract:All stakeholders in educational institutions, especially teachers during the learning process in class, are responsible for improving teacher competency. Therefore, developing teacher competence is very important which is influenced by several variables, including the role of the principal himself. Based on these problems, the authors wish to conduct research on the role of school principals in improving teacher competency at the Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School, Jakarta. This study aims to identify the variables that can influence the increase in teacher competence as well as the challenges faced and the role of the principal in increasing teacher competency at Pondok Pesantren Darunnajah Jakarta. All principals and deputy principals of the Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School became the population and sample in this study. This research methodology combines qualitative and descriptive approaches. Information is collected by means of observation, discussion, and documentation. The findings of this study indicate that the role of school principals, teacher training, student learning facilities, teacher teaching experience, teacher health conditions, and educational background are factors that influence the increase in teacher competence and the quality of education. Along with the limitations of pedagogical and professional abilities, the principal's responsibility is to improve teacher competency through MGMP empowerment, academic and clinical supervision, as well as face-to-face training with other teachers.

Abstract

Abstract The situation of the metropolitan community which tends to be busy and hedonistic causes the emergence of social phenomena in the community, this case occurs among the people in Ulujami Village. The social phenomenon that occurs causes low public concern for participation in social, religious activities and awareness of the importance of mastering technology for owners of micro, small and medium enterprises. Based on these problems, Darunnajah University students created a community service program by carrying out community empowerment activities in an effort to improve IMTAQ and science and technology and the integration of the two in Ulujami Village. Because by integrating IMTAQ and science and technology in life, it can form a rabbani society and intellect. To realize these activities, various activities are carried out by actively involving the community. The activity focuses on improving the community's ability to study religion and technology by holding socialization activities to village officials and communities in an inclusive manner, conducting socialization and training to the younger generation and teaching religion to children as the basis for their education. Meanwhile, the implementation of technology empowerment is carried out for MSME owners to be able to develop their business through marketing with social media and online.

Abstract

In the contemporary educational landscape, the integration of technology has become imperative for fostering student success. This article explores the dynamics of educational management in the digital age, emphasizing the pivotal role of technology in shaping and enhancing learning environments. The study adopts a literature review methodology to systematically analyze existing research, theoretical frameworks, and practical implementations related to educational technology and management. The literature review (from 2015-2024) covers key themes such as the impact of digital tools on pedagogy, the role of educational leaders in fostering technological integration, and the challenges and opportunities associated with managing a technology-enhanced educational ecosystem. By synthesizing current literature, the article provides insights into effective strategies for educational leaders to navigate the complexities of digital integration, fostering an environment conducive to student success. The findings underscore the need for a comprehensive approach to educational management that embraces technology as a catalyst for innovation and learning. This article contributes to the discourse on educational technology and management, offering valuable perspectives for educators, administrators, and policymakers seeking to harness the full potential of technology in the pursuit of academic excellence.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the Al-Qur'an Reading and Writing Learning Method (BTQ) on the Al-Qur'an Reading Ability of the young students of TPQ Darunnajah Jakarta, the method used, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors for the Al-Qur'an Reading and Writing program . The methodology used is descriptive qualitative, specifically involving the description of observed events. The goal is to extract information that will form the basis of conceptual design. Information is obtained from official sources such as reference books, magazines, documents, and laws. Data collection methods were obtained by observation, documentation and interviews with TPQ Darunnajah. This research determines that the effectiveness of reading and writing the Al-Qur'an has a positive impact on improving the Al-Qur'an reading skills of TPQ Darunnajah students so that it is classified as effective. The effectiveness of the Al-Qur'an Reading and Writing curriculum at TPQ Darunnajah can be seen from its ability to significantly increase students' fluency in reading the Al-Qur'an. The technique used is the Ummi method. Consistency in program implementation is the main supporting component, even though there are many obstacles. An obstacle that hinders progress is the limited time allocated for studying at educational institutions.

Abstract

Three colleges—STII Darunnajah Jakarta, STAI Darunnajah Bogor, and STAI Darunnajah Jakarta—that were part of the Darunnajah Foundation gave birth to Darunnajah University. Following their 2022 merger to form Darunnajah University, the first thing to be mapped and designed is the Lecturer Resources. This is looking at the state of existing lecturers, and then the birth of five new study programs. This study used a case study methodology, employing a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were collected, reduced, presented, and conclusions drawn. The study's findings demonstrated Darunnajah University's seriousness in planning its teaching workforce for 2023–2031. Where the HR bureau is guided by the strategic plan and renovation; 1) Development of existing lecturers by encouraging them to continue their studies, providing scholarships, and providing recommendations for scholarships. 2) Cultivating the values of panca jiwa, panca bina, panca jangka, and panca dharma towards lecturers 3) Recruitment of linear lecturers. 4) Benchmarking good practices of HR development for lecturers to UNIDA Gontor. 5) Targeted in 2031, there are 13 professors.

Abstract

Learning management is a process of managing, which includes planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activities. Activities related to the process of learning students by involving various factors in it, in order to achieve educational goals and seek to improve the quality of education. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The method used to collect data is through interviews, observation, documentation. The results showed that the planning of the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an learning program at the Al-Ghozali Islamic Boarding School Curug Gunung Sindur Bogor was carried out by selecting or determining the vision, mission, organizational goals and determining strategies, policies, projects, programs, procedures, methods, systems, budgets, and standards needed to achieve goals. And the evaluation of the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an learning program at the Al-Ghozali Islamic Boarding School, Curug Gunung Sindur, Bogor is carried out by conducting an assessment and at the same time making corrections if necessary so that what is being done by the relevant parties can be directed to the right path with the aim of achieving the goals that have been set. redrawn.

Abstract

Abstract Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Islamic boarding school is an educational institution that emphasizes the importance of memorizing the Al-Qur'an. However, in this modern era, various challenges arise in efforts to maintain and improve the quality of tahfidz. This research aims to explore and analyze effective strategies that can be implemented in Islamic boarding schools to improve the quality of tahfidz Al-Qur'an. Through a qualitative approach, this research found that a combination of traditional teaching methods with modern technology, continuous training for teachers, a systematic curriculum, emotional and spiritual development of students, as well as improving learning facilities are the main keys in improving the quality of tahfidz. The research results show that (1). The strategy to improve the quality of tahfidz is to introduce several methods to the students, determine the memorization target, namely 3 juz per semester, establish good relationships with the students, hold simaan (2). Supporting factors for the quality of tahfidz are motivating students, tahfidz graduation, tahfidz exams, boarding school rules and regulations. The inhibiting factor is that students do not master makhraj letters and tajwid, and do not manage their time well. Alternating mushaf, physical and spiritual condition, good concentration, feeling lazy, no mentor and similar verses (3) efforts made to overcome obstacles are holding tahsin coaching, motivating students, Islamic boarding school rules and regulations, providing rewards and punishments. , absent the presence of supervisors, Establishing a standard memorized Qur'an. Abstract

A strong philosophical foundation in the management of santri alumni management is expected to maintain the values that have been instilled during the education process in Pesantren when they are already in the community. However, modernity and reality in urban areas become a challenge for alumni in maintaining the religious character formed on traditional values in pesantren. The purpose of this article is to examine the implementation of the Panca Dharma and Panca Jiwa paradigms in the management of alumni and pesantren networks in urban areas. This research is a descriptive-analytical qualitative research using a case study approach. Primary data is in the form of observations and interviews with figures in the alumni management process at Pesantren Darunnajah and Pesantren Darussalam Gontor. While secondary data is in the form of written sources and scientific references including books, journal articles, theses, and theses related to the research topic. Data were collected using observation and interview methods and analysed using the content analysis method. The results showed that the principles of Panca Dharma and Panca Jiwa are formed on the emotional relationship between santri and kyai, which results in obedience and compliance. This is an effort of pesantren in maintaining religious santri in urban areas to remain in the frame of religious attitude inclusivism. Alumni's pride and appreciation for the pesantren can be seen from their awareness of worship and achievement in the community. Through a strong philosophical foundation, pesantren have succeeded in giving birth to thousands of alumni with various professions such as politicians, judges, businessmen, clerics and religious leaders with their pesantren, officials of state agencies, private sector, military and others. The orientation of pesantren education that prioritises society makes them more flexible in moving amid the dynamics of urban reality.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The implementation of the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model in educational infrastructure development at Indonesian universities has had a significant impact on the quality of educational facilities and resource management. This model involves the private sector in the financing, construction, operation, and management of educational facilities, aiming to reduce dependence on government funding. This study aims to analyze the mechanisms of implementing the BOT model in Indonesian universities, the challenges faced, and its impact on the quality of educational infrastructure and student learning experiences. The method used in this study was a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews and document analysis from various parties involved in BOT projects at universities. The results indicate that the BOT model is effective in improving educational infrastructure by reducing the burden on the public budget and improving the quality of facilities that support learning activities. However, key challenges in implementing this model include financing, risk management, and coordination between relevant parties. The successful implementation of the BOT model depends on careful planning, clear communication between the private sector, the government, and universities, and stable regulations that support private investment. In addition, careful risk management and the use of educational technology such as a Learning Management System (LMS) contribute positively to the student learning experience. This study concludes that implementing the BOT model can provide a long-term solution to address educational infrastructure deficiencies in Indonesia. However, its success requires close collaboration between the public and private sectors. Transparent management and proper planning will ensure that the BOT model can contribute to improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia, supporting the development of student competencies in this digital era.
