Abstract

Abstract

Student satisfaction is a critical indicator for maintaining the competitiveness and reputation of higher education institutions. To ensure continuous improvement and meet student expectations, this study aims to evaluate student satisfaction within the Faculty of Engineering at a higher education institution by analyzing service quality gaps using the Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. Five service dimensions—Tangible (physical facilities), Reliability (dependability), Responsiveness (promptness), Assurance (staff competence), and Empathy (personalized care)—were assessed through quantitative questionnaires and qualitative data. The analysis results indicate that Tangible, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy have a significant influence on student satisfaction, while Reliability does not show a meaningful effect. The model demonstrates a substantial ability to explain the variation in student satisfaction and shows good predictive relevance. Based on these findings, strategic recommendations are proposed to enhance physical facilities, improve service responsiveness, strengthen staff competence, and adopt more personalized service approaches to bridge the gap between student expectations and actual experiences. These insights provide a solid foundation for improving academic and administrative services, thereby contributing to better educational outcomes and enhancing the institution’s overall competitiveness.

Abstract

The purpose of this session is to expose participants with technical and vocational educational backgrounds to LabVIEW graphics programming software. In technical and industrial domains like biotechnology, aircraft, and telecommunications, LabVIEW is a commonly used system development tool. Hands-on practice and a demonstrative approach are used in the in-person instruction. LabVIEW's foundations, industrial applications, and hardware and software integration are all covered in the curriculum. The training results show that participants have a better understanding of visual programming and its possible uses in the business. This program is a component of a larger strategy to promote Industry 4.0-aligned technological literacy.

Abstract

Abstract

The development of the industry that is increasingly making businesses try to be competitive by increasing technical knowledge and improving systems both internally and externally. PDCA is a quality management system that is used as a continuous improvement tool that is widely used in the service and manufacturing sectors. PDCA activities consist of four steps namely Plan, Do, Check, and Action with repeated stages forming like a circle. PDCA is a continuous improvement tool that is widely used in the services and manufacturing sector. The cycle of PDCA begins with small to check possible effects on systems, but then eventually progresses to larger and more specific improvements. The results of the implementation PDCA method can be used to solve the problems of qualitative and quantitative data problems that have been widely applied in the service and manufacturing sectors for continuous improvement and as a work pattern in improving a process or system in an organization and increasing productivity. The method used in this research is the literature review research paper has been published in 2015-2020 that have consistently applied the PDCA cycle. The result of this literature review is to describe the relationship between thinking or gaps in theoretical and practical thinking about the application of the PDCA method and the successful implementation in the service and manufacturing sectors as a contribution to further research.

Abstract

DKI Jakarta has great potential for tourism development, but it has some shortcomings, especially in cultural tourism, particularly museums. The potential for tourism development can be further enhanced with the increasing number of tourists. The increase in the number of tourists can have both positive and negative impacts. The positive impacts include increased regional income, GRDP, MSME income, and employment. The negative impacts include cultural filtration, environmental pollution, the risk of disease transmission, and so on. To bridge these issues, this research was conducted to obtain optimal strategies for the cultural tourism sector in DKI Jakarta to increase MSME income and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of DKI Jakarta. This research develops a dynamic model to determine optimal strategy scenarios by considering MSME income and GRDP of DKI Jakarta using Powersim. Policy scenarios for the development strategy of cultural tourism in DKI Jakarta are formulated based on a combination of schemes determined from the variables created. These variables consist of GRDP, MSME income, and other supporting tourism sectors. The selection of the optimal strategy for the sustainable cultural tourism sector can be determined with scenarios of increasing and decreasing parameter values. The chosen scenario is a combination of parameter values based on the results obtained. The scenario of increasing parameter values can be chosen for MSME income and GRDP factors in DKI Jakarta, as it results in an increase of 5% and 0.008%, respectively.
