Abstract

This article aims to describe the condition of educational accountability in terms of the quality of post-pandemic learning where this greatly influences the condition of competency development activities in schools due to the many activity restrictions imposed during the pandemic crisis. This research method is a literature review with the addition of a data survey method to representative schools in the city of Medan as a concrete manifestation of conditions in the field related to educational accountability. The findings obtained in this study are the urgency of educational accountability that needs to be improved, starting from the formal school level education level by improving the quality of learning and teaching carried out by teachers to prioritize competency development over other activities which are sometimes not too important to be carried out in schools.

Abstract

This research investigated the role of Administrative Services (TU) in supporting the implementation of efficient governance in Elementary Schools (SD). Using a qualitative approach, the study involved in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis to comprehend the role of TU and the impact of information technology integration in the school environment. Findings indicated that TU staff played a crucial role in administrative, financial, and daily operational management, while information technology integration contributed positively to efficiency. Challenges such as resource limitations became a focal point of discussion. The results of this research provide a foundation for the development of best practices and policies at the elementary school level. Future prospects involve a deeper understanding of information technology implementation and TU professionalism. Further studies can explore broader impacts on educational quality and contribute positively to the elementary education system in Indonesia

Abstract

This research aims first to determine the extent of the role of literacy and numeracy in the educational context in building character. Furthermore, to find out what obstacles make literacy and numeracy does not work well well in the educational environment in forming character. The research method used in this article is a systematic literature review, the author searches for published articles related to the title or research topic that the researcher has determined, the articles searched are limited to 50 articles, then the researcher filters them to 20 articles that are considered appropriate and close to each other. to answer this research. The results of the research show that as many as 20 articles from the search results show that the role of literacy and numeracy has a significant impact on improving numeracy and reading skills at primary school level, especially from the results of PISA and OECD data which reveal that Indonesia is still experiencing a decline in terms of literacy and numeracy. From the search results, it can be concluded that literacy and numeracy have a role in character formation in the world of education. So, researchers provide recommendations for the need for support from the government, educational institutions, students' environment and parents to work together to improve students' abilities in calculating and reading while aiming to shape the character of each student.

Abstract

The implementation of curriculum management is a series of resource management activities in implementing curriculum for the quality improvement. The purpose of this study was to find out how the planning, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum in improving the quality of graduates in the pesantren KH. Ahmad Dahlan Sipirok. This study uses a qualitative method. The technique of collecting data is by interview, observation, and document review. In addition, data and information are analyzed by data reduction, data exposure, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study were (1) curriculum planning was established by the madrasa leadership, MGMP, and teachers through curriculum planning meetings by making madrasa / pesantren education calendars, calculating effective working days for each subject, compiling annual programs, compiling semester programs, and implementing lesson plans as the direction of achieving academic quality and non-academic graduates, (2) the implementation of curriculum programs included learning using the curriculum of Diknas and pesantren through face-to-face learning, practice in mosques, halls, laboratories, and learning activities so that there were guidelines and targets achievement of the quality of graduates, (3) the implementation of curriculum evaluation included classroom supervision activities, learning evaluation, both formative and summative, and curriculum evaluation meetings at the end of the academic year which showed the achievement of the target of improving the quality of graduates could be seen from the fulfillment of minimum completeness criteria high and graduation of santri.

Abstract

This study aims to see how far the impact of the use of learning using learning on line courses in the learning process. It can be seen that learning objectives and motivation play an important role, because by paying attention to the motivation of students, such as the desire to expand their knowledge, become specialists, and others. Then several factors that have the use of some of the features developed are learning systems. Management system in the form of plugins and themes. The development in the form of plugins and themes is intended so that the e-learning system based on massive open online courses can be installed flexibly on various other systems if needed. You can also see Mooc user data, Based on the analysis of user profiles registered in the e-learning system based on massive open online courses, it was found that 39% of users are male, while 61% of users are female. This study uses a literature study approach from several sources that have an empirical approach.

Abstract

School leadership plays a critical role in shaping school effectiveness and teacher performance, particularly within the framework of educational management. This study aims to examine the role of school principal leadership as a managerial mechanism in enhancing teacher performance through a qualitative literature-based approach. Using a conceptual review design, this article analyzes and synthesizes scholarly literature published between 2021 and 2025 that addresses principal leadership, managerial functions, leadership styles, and teacher performance. The findings indicate that principal leadership operates as an integrated managerial mechanism encompassing planning, organizing, directing, and controlling school resources and instructional processes. Effective leadership is shown to influence teacher performance through organizational structures, instructional supervision, strategic decision-making, and trust-based relationships. Additionally, leadership styles such as instructional, transformational, and integrated leadership contribute significantly to teachers’ professional development and instructional effectiveness. This study contributes to educational management literature by clarifying the conceptual position of principal leadership as a managerial mechanism rather than a fragmented leadership construct. The findings emphasize the importance of managerial coherence in leadership practices to support sustainable improvement in teacher performance. Future research is encouraged to empirically examine this conceptual framework across diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of transformational leadership and organizational culture on police performance at the Aceh Tamiang Police Department. It examines whether job satisfaction mediates this relationship. The research utilizes an associative approach and involves all Aceh Tamiang Police personnel as the population. A stratified random sample of 96 personnel was selected for the study. Transformational leadership variable and organizational culture variable serve as independent variables, while police performance variable is the dependent variable. Job satisfaction acts as an intervening variable. Data analysis employs descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Modelling, with a Partial Least Squares approach. The findings demonstrate a positive effect of transformational leadership and organizational culture on police performance. This effect operates both directly and indirectly through increased job satisfaction among police officers. It means that a transformational leadership style and positive organizational culture can increase members' job satisfaction, ultimately impacting their performance. In other words, to improve the performance of police officers, efforts need to be made to increase the transformational leadership of leaders and strengthen a positive organizational culture.

Abstract

This study examines the role of organizational communication in reducing resistance to change in industrial companies in Indonesia. It is set against the background that industrial transformation is becoming increasingly intense—driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, sustainability demands, global competition, and regulatory changes—yet one of the main barriers is employees' resistance. Data indicates that about 65% of change programs experience moderate to high resistance, which results in implementation delays (average 40%), cost overruns (average 35%), and even complete failure (15% of cases). Resistance is treated as a multidimensional phenomenon influenced by cognitive, affective, and behavioral factors. The research uses mixed-methods with a sequential explanatory design: a quantitative phase involving 350 respondents from 35 companies and a qualitative phase involving 25 informants through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and case studies. The quantitative findings show that the quality of organizational communication has a negative and significant effect on resistance to change (β = -0.58; p < 0.001). In addition, aspects such as openness, consistency, timely delivery, participation, and empathetic communication are associated with mechanisms that reduce resistance by improving understanding, increasing trust, and strengthening employees' sense of ownership. The study also finds that an integrated communication strategy positively affects change effectiveness (β = 0.62; p < 0.001), and that communication effectiveness mediates the relationship between communication strategy and resistance reduction, supported by qualitative findings considering the importance of two-way communication, layered and repeated messaging, leveraging informal leaders, and management role modeling.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh rasio keuangan dan tingkat inflasi terhadap profitabilitas Bank Umum Syariah di Indonesia selama periode 2020–2024. Profitabilitas dalam penelitian ini diproksikan dengan Return on Assets (ROA), sedangkan rasio keuangan yang digunakan meliputi Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Biaya Operasional terhadap Pendapatan Operasional (BOPO), Non Performing Financing (NPF), dan Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan memanfaatkan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari laporan keuangan tahunan Bank Umum Syariah yang terdaftar di Indonesia. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan software SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, CAR tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas, yang mengindikasikan bahwa tingkat kecukupan modal belum mampu meningkatkan kinerja laba secara langsung. BOPO berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap profitabilitas, yang berarti semakin tinggi efisiensi biaya operasional, maka profitabilitas akan meningkat. NPF juga berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap profitabilitas, menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan pembiayaan bermasalah dapat menurunkan kinerja keuangan bank. Sementara itu, FDR berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap profitabilitas, yang mengindikasikan bahwa kemampuan bank dalam menyalurkan dana secara optimal dapat meningkatkan laba. Di sisi lain, tingkat inflasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas, yang menunjukkan bahwa kondisi inflasi selama periode penelitian tidak memberikan dampak langsung terhadap kinerja Bank Umum Syariah. Secara simultan, seluruh variabel independen berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas, sehingga penting bagi manajemen bank untuk mengelola rasio keuangan secara optimal guna meningkatkan kinerja keuangan
