Abstract

Abstrak: Pengolahan minyak kelapa masih menghasilkan kualitas yang rendah. hal ini ditandai dengan kadar air yang tinggi, berbau tengik, warna yang keruh, dan masih terdapat endapan. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan upaya peningkatan kualitas minyak kelapa dengan teknologi pemurnian. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para pengolah minyak kelapa tentang aplikasi teknologi pemurnian. Mitra yang mengikuti kegiatan ini adalah kelompok pengolah minyak kelapa yang berjumlahkan 10 orang yang ada di Dusun Bilatepung Desa Beleka Kecamatan Gerung . Langkah-langkah pelaksanaan kegiatan diantaranya: (1) Koordinasi dan sosialisasi kegiatan; (2) Penyuluhan teknologi pengolahan minyak kelapa dan aplikasi teknologi pemurnian pada proses pengolahan miyak kelapa; (3) Praktek produksi minyak kelapa dan implementasi teknik pemurnian pada minyak kelapa yang dihasilkan; dan (4) Monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra sebesar 80%. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat diimplementasikan untuk kmeningkatkan kualitas minyak kelapa yang diproduksi.Abstract: Coconut oil processing in Beleka Village still produces low quality. That is indicated by high water content, rancid smell, cloudy colors, and still precipitations. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the quality of coconut oil with purification technology. This service aims to increase the knowledge and skills of coconut oil processing by applying refining technology. Partners who participated in this activity were coconut oil processing groups in Bilatepung Hamlet, Beleka Village, and Gerung District. Implementing activities include (1) coordination and socialization of activities; (2) Counseling of coconut oil processing technology and applying refining technology in coconut oil; (3) Practice of coconut oil production and implementation of refining techniques in the resulting coconut oil; dan (4) Monitoring and evaluation. The results show that this service activity can increase partner knowledge and skills by 80%. This activity is expected to improve the quality of coconut oil produced.

Abstract

Sargassum is a genus that grows naturally in waters with strong currents and rocky bottoms. This genus has high diversity and distribution, including on Lombok Island. This research aims to analyze the diversity and distribution of sargassum on Lombok Island. Research sampling was carried out in 15 locations spread across 4 districts on Lombok Island. Morphological diversity analysis was carried out using MVSP 3.1 software. Meanwhile, distribution is carried out by sampling the distribution in the waters of Lombok Island. The research results showed that the number of Sargassum species found was 4 species. Each species found from different sampling locations has variations with a similarity percentage of 52.8% to 100%. Sargassum was found in 15 sampling locations with the following details: Sargassum polycystum was found in five locations, Sargassum crassifolium in 5 locations, Sargassum cristaefolium in 7 locations, and Sargassum sp in 3 locations.
