Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the level of ability of Geography teachers in making and developing technology in learning and utilizing technology as a media for mapping, remote sensing and geographic information systems. The research method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method in the form of a percentage. Samples were obtained using the Total Sampling technique, which means that all teachers teaching geography at SMAN in South Solok totaled as many as 14 people. Data collection is done by giving questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using IBM SPSS version 19.0 program consisting of descriptive analysis, test data analysis requirements and descriptive analysis or percentage descriptive statistics. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the level of technological knowledge of Geography Teachers in 5 indicators, namely basic computer operating knowledge, use of number processing programs, word processing, teacher presentation programs, how to access the internet, and utilizing IT to help understand the concept of Geogarfi Teachers in teaching, is still relatively low with percentage of 57% Keyword: knowledge, technology, geography teacher ability Abstract This study aims to determine the level of ability of Geography teachers in making and developing technology in learning and utilizing technology as a media for mapping, remote sensing and geographic information systems. Abstract

This Study aims to determine students’ perceptions about the pedagogical competence of social studies teachers in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Nan Sabaris in odd semester 2018/2019, then to find out students’ perceptions about the social competence of social studies teachers of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Nan Sabaris in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year and to know the learning outcomes of social studies students of the VIII grade of SMP Negeri 1 Nan Sabaris in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 school year. The type of this research is descriptive correlational, with the subject of the research is the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Nan Sabaris, Padang Regency, totalling 199 people. The number of samples in this study was 83 people, the sampling technique in this study was Proportional Random Sampling technique. The research instrument to determine the effect of students’ perceptions of pedagogical competence and professional competence of teachers using a Likert Scale questionnaire and student learning outcomes data taken from the average value of odd midterm exam results. Based on the result of research and data analysis result show that : (1) The category of students’ perceptions about the pedagogical competence of social studies teachers in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Nan Sabaris in the January-June semester of the 2018/2019 school year based on the percentage caregory was good (79%) (2) The category of students’ perceptions of the social studies teachers of class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Nan Sabaris in the January semester – June 2018/2019 academic year based on the percentage category was good (79%) (3) Social studies learning outcomes for class VIII od SMP Negeri 1 in the January-June semester of the 2018/2019 school year based on the percentage category is good (60.95%) Keywords : Student perceptions about pedagogical competence, professional competence of teachers and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The study aims to identify the behavior of the visitor in maintaining the purus beach environment clean and the efforts of the visitor to maintain the purus bay environment .It is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The study is conducted at the purus coast tourist attraction western wilderness town. Research informants are visitors who are asked to submit information to the study. The type of data in this study is primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques in this study are done with observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis USES (1) data reduction, (2) data exposure, and (3) hypothetical withdrawal. The study resulted (1) in visitor behavior in the cleanliness of purus beach environments enough to ensure the coefficient of the purus coast environment. Researchers believe that much garbage is caused by traders who dispose of waste products in the local area. Researchers also see the awareness that the visitor has of garbage emanating from himself by refraining from littering out of trash (2) the attempts that the visitor gave to maintaining purus coast are less noticeable. Researchers have learned firsthand that efforts to clean up the beach environment are made by hauling out their own beverage and food - free garbage to the garbage. The lack of availability of refuse according to researchers has significantly affected beach cleanliness. With the limitation of a visitor's garbage can, it becomes a litany that he finds effective rather than a dumpster. The availability of trash bins in busy tourist resorts has to be increased so that there are no more excuses or visitors who discard garbage causing personal discomfort.

Abstract

this study aims to determine the conditions of household consumption, living conditions, health conditions, educational conditions and income conditions. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The population and sample in this study were 51 workers. Sampling uses the proportional random sampling technique. Data collection techniques through questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique using descriptive statistical analysis is the percentage formula put forward by the data. The results of this study indicate that the socio-economic conditions of workers at the PT. Kemilau Permata Palm Factory in Nagari are already good, because they are able to provide all food and non-food needs. minimum area is 47.1%, health conditions are good, if you suffer from minor illness, 80.40% go to a health center, and if severe illness is treated as much as 94.12% at the hospital, the condition of education mostly already covers high school level, and income workers ranged from Rp.2,600,000-Rp.3,500,000 which was 43.14% of all respondents.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) The effect of the waste (smell) of chicken slaughtering business on drivers and driving comfort in terms of concentration and focus on Korong Gadang road, Korong Gadang Village, Kuranji District, Padang City. This type of research used in this research is a descriptive type with a qualitative approach. The technique of collecting data in this research is by using observation, interviews and documentation. The informants involved in this study were 31 drivers who crossed the chicken slaughtering business on the Korong Gadang road, Kuranji District, Padang City. The results of this study show that (1) In the morning and during the day, motorists who cross are disturbed by the smell produced by the chicken slaughtering business on Korong Gadang Street, Kuranji District, Padang City, while in the afternoon the drivers passing through the business are not disturbed because they are no longer bothered. smell then the weather factor also affects the smell produced by the business in rainy weather the smell produced is more pungent. Furthermore, drivers who pass through the business are not disturbed in driving, they can still drive well without losing their concentration or driving focus. Abstract

This research aims to find out how teachers assess essay questions that contain elements of analysis and to find out students' answers to essay questions that contain analysis on the distribution and management of natural resources on 2013 curriculum. This research uses mixed research methods. The population in the study was all 11th grade of SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. The sampling technique in this research used a total sampling technique. The total population is 101 people, while the sample size is 101 people. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that some teachers do not understand how to assess essay questions that contain elements of analysis on material on the distribution and management of natural resources and that most students do not understand the answers to essay questions that contain analysis. This is based on the lack of complexity in the content of geographic concepts that can be linked in creating questions and answering essay questions that contain elements of analysis on the distribution and management of natural resources.

Abstract

This research to eval_uate the effectiveness of the learning process at MAN 3 Payakumbuh during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially after the implementation of the face-to-face learning policy in November 2020. The research method used is quantitative descriptive by analyzing data on time allocation, effectiveness of assignment work, and student exam result. The research results show that the allocation of study time is in the effective category (80%), but there are 20% that are not optimal. The effectiveness of completing assignments is also effective (80%), with 20% of students showing low performance. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of exam results is in the effective category (70%), even though 30% of students experience difficulties. The findings of this study highlight the need for improved time management, student engagement, and understanding of the material to achieve better learning effectiveness.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa dan membahas data tentang sikap siswa terhadap lingkungan sekolah di SMA Negeri 13 Padang. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa yang ada di SMA Negeri 13 Padang yaitu kelas X, XI dan XII dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 718 orang. Dalam penelitan ini sampel mengambil 10% dari jumlah siswa di SMA Negeri 13 Padang. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 72 orang siswa, sedangkan teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara Purposive Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) sikap siswa terhadap lingkungan sekolah dilihat dari segi ruang kelas berada pada kategori yang tidak baik. (2) sikap siswa terhadap lingkungan sekolah dilihat dari segi taman berada pada kategori yang tidak baik. (3) sikap siswa terhadap lingkungan sekolah dilihat dari segi wc berada pada kategori yang sangat tidak baik. (4) sikap siswa terhadap lingkungan sekolah dilihat dari segi saluran got berada pada kategori yang tidak baik. (5) sikap siswa terhadap lingkungan sekolah dilihat dari segi ruang pustaka dan labor berada pada kategori yang tidak baik. Kata Kunci: Sikap, Lingkungan Sekolah

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan argumentasi siswa dalam pembelajaran geografi peminatan pada materi dinamika dan permasalahan kependudukan di SMAN 2 Padang. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan eksperimen dengan sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI MIPA 3 (36 orang) sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas XI MIPA 4 (36 orang) sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Kemampuan argumentasi siswa yang diajarkan melalui pembelajaran dengan strategi metakognitif self-explanation lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional dengan rata-rata 82,92. 2) Tingkat pencapaian indikatornya yaitu menentukan strategi 81,25%, memberikan alasan 80,5%, dan menyimpulkan 86,12%. 3) Pencapaian indikator tertinggi yaitu kemampuan menyimpulkan 86,12%. Kata kunci : Strategi Metakognitif Self-Explanation, Kemampuan Argumentasi Siswa. ABSTRACT This research aims to improving student’s argumentation skill in learning of geography of interest on the topic of dynamics and problem of demography in SMAN 2 Padang. This research is classified as descriptive research with the experiment approach with research sample that is student of class XI MIPA 3 (36 person) as experiment approach with research sample that is student of class XI MIPA 4 (36 person) as control class. The results showed: 1) Student’s argumentation skill taught through learning with metacognitive self-explanation strategy is higher than students taught with conventional learning with mean of 82,92. 2) Level of achievement of the indicator that is determining the strategy 81,25%, giving the reason 80,5%, and concluded 86,12%. 3) Achievement of the highest indicator is the ability to conclude 86,12%. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang guru dalam bersikap inklusif dan obyektif, sikap diskriminatif, kesantunan, keefektifan, empati, serta komunikasi terhadap peserta didik, teman sejawat, orang tua/wali peserta didik dan lingkungan sekolah di SMAN 2 Batusangkar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif.Teknik pengambilan sampel digunakan Purposive Sampling. Informan yaitu wakil kepala sekolah, guru dan peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian: 1) Guru mampu bersikap inklusif dan obyektif dengan tetap menerima dan memperhatikan siswa yang nakal dan peduli terhadap kebersihan lingkungan sekitarnya, 2) Guru tidak bersikap diskriminatif namun guru menunjukkan sikap yang tidak adil terhadap siswa dan interaksi guru dengan orang tua siswa terlihat jarang, 3) Guru sudah berkomunikasi dengan teman sejawat secara santun, empati, dan efektif, 4) Guru berkomunikasi dengan teman sejawat, profesi ilmiah dan komunitas ilmiah lainnya dengan aktif di berbagai kegiatan sekolah dan organisasi profesi guru seperti Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP). Kata kunci : kompetensi, kompetensi guru, kompetensi sosial. Abstract This study aims to describe the teacher in being inclusive and objective, discriminatory attitudes, politeness, effectiveness, empathy, and communication to students, colleague, parents / guardians of students and the school environment in SMAN 2 Batusangkar. The type of research used qualitative descriptive. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Informants are vice principal, teachers and students. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study: 1) The teacher is able to be inclusive and objective by still accepting and paying attention to students who are naughty and caring about the cleanliness of the surrounding environment, 2) The teacher does not behave discriminatively but the teacher shows an unfair attitude towards students and teacher interaction with parents looks rare , 3) The teacher has been communicating with colleagues in a polite, empathetic, and effective manner, 4) The teacher communicates with colleagues, the scientific profession and other scientific communities actively in various school activities and teacher professional organizations such as Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP).
