Abstract

This study aims to obtain, process, analyze, and discuss data on the Effect of Student Learning Motivation on Student Geography Learning Outcomes in Class X Social Sciences at SMAN 1 Sungai Puar, Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province, for the academic year 2021/2022. The method in this study is a quantitative method with the type of correlational research. The population in this study were all students of class X IPS 1,2, and 3 as many as 82 people. Sampling was taken by total sampling with a total sample of 82 people. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data analysis used in 2 ways, namely: (1) descriptive statistical analysis, (2) Regression analysis. The results: There is a significant and positive relationship between students' learning motivation and learning outcomes of Geography in class X Social Sciences SMAN 1 Sungai Puar, Agam Regency, with an rxy correlation coefficient of 0.322 which indicates a low relationship between students' learning motivation and students' learning outcomes of Geography in class X IPS SMAN 1 Sungai Puar, Agam Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Nearpod interactive learning media on student learning activities in the class X Geography subject at SMA Negeri 1 Gunung Talang. The type of research applied is quantitative with a correlational approach. Sampling using total sampling obtained 88 respondents from class X IPS 1, X IPS 2, and X IPS 3. The data collection technique used the help of a questionnaire for Nearpod media and student learning activities. The results of this study conclude: 1) The use of Nearpod media and learning activities is classified as moderate with the percentages of 61% and 58%, respectively. 2) The use of Nearpod media has a significant effect on student learning activities. This is evidenced by the results of the analysis where r count (0.577) is greater than r table at a significant level of 5% or 1%, namely 0.209 < 0.577 > 0.273, so H0 rejected and H1 accepted. The influence of Nearpod media has a significant effect on student learning activities of 33.2%. This is evidenced by the correlation coefficient (r) of 0.577 and the value of the coefficient of determination (r2)of 0.736. This means that Nearpod is able to contribute 33.2% to learning activities. student. Looking at the regression equation = 41.553 + 0.506 X shows that every time there is an additional value on Nearpod media by 1, it increases the value of learning activities by 0.506.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the efforts of teachers to overcome difficulties in learning geography in class X IPS students at SMAN 1 Six Lingkung, Padang Pariaman Regency. This type of research is qualitative. Determination of subjects using purposive sampling. The research subjects were 1 class X IPS geography teacher and 12 students of X IPS class. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the study found that 1) The factors that influence students' learning difficulties in geography subjects are internal and external factors. 2) The constraints experienced by teachers overcoming geography learning difficulties are student characteristics, the low interest in student learning in geography subjects. 3) The teacher's efforts to overcome geography learning difficulties are ensuring student readiness, using learning media that facilitate understanding, problems related to everyday life, the level of difficulty of the problem according to the ability of the child, giving freedom to the child to solve problems. Abstract

This research to eval_uate the effectiveness of the learning process at MAN 3 Payakumbuh during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially after the implementation of the face-to-face learning policy in November 2020. The research method used is quantitative descriptive by analyzing data on time allocation, effectiveness of assignment work, and student exam result. The research results show that the allocation of study time is in the effective category (80%), but there are 20% that are not optimal. The effectiveness of completing assignments is also effective (80%), with 20% of students showing low performance. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of exam results is in the effective category (70%), even though 30% of students experience difficulties. The findings of this study highlight the need for improved time management, student engagement, and understanding of the material to achieve better learning effectiveness.
