Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat telah kami laksanakan di Pulau Harapan Kepulauan Seribu, Jakarta berjudul Pelatihan Bahasa Inggris Bagi Pemilik Homestay di Pulau Harapan, Kepulauan Seribu Jakarta, dimana pada kegiatan abdimas ini peserta yang mengikuti adalah UMKM yang memiliki homestay dan mengelola homestay tersebut sendiri. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikanpelatihan dan praktik kepada pemilik homestay dalam berkomunikasi dan menghadapi turis atau pengunjung luar negeri yang akan menginap di homestay tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendampingan langsung kepada para pemilik homestay di Pulau Harapan, Kepulauan Seribu dengan metode presentasi dan tanya jawab serta memberikan solusi mengenai kendala apa yang dialami oleh para pemilik homestay selama ini dalam menghadapi pengunjung luar negeri yang akan menginap di homestay mereka. Hasil yangdiperoleh adalah para pemilik homestay mengetahui beberapa kosakata dan percakapan yang digunakan dalam berkomunikasi dengan para turis asing yang akan menginap.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how debt management is implemented and to analyze the role of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Epicor in improving debt management at PT XYZ. Debt management is a crucial aspect in maintaining the financial stability of a company and ensuring smooth relationships with suppliers. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that each division in the company, including Sales, Production Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC), Purchasing, Warehouse, and Finance, plays an important role in the emergence of trade payables. The use of ERP Epicor has proven to facilitate the process of recording debt invoices, monitoring payable status, and scheduling payments systematically and efficiently.

Abstract

This study aims to develop students’ real-life English communication competence through communicative, multimodal, and practice-oriented instructional strategies. The research addresses the persistent challenges faced by Indonesian EFL learners, particularly low speaking confidence, high anxiety, and limited willingness to communicate. A mixed-method classroom-based research design was employed involving 32 undergraduate EFL students. Data were collected through pre- and post-speaking tests, communicative competence rubrics, questionnaires on Willingness to Communicate (WTC), classroom observation, and semi-structured interviews. The intervention integrated role-play, multimodal tasks, gamified communicative projects, and structured real-life speaking simulations over eight weeks. Findings indicate significant improvement in students’ fluency, pronunciation accuracy, sociolinguistic appropriateness, and strategic competence. Students demonstrated increased confidence and reduced speaking anxiety. Quantitative results show a 28% increase in speaking performance scores and a 35% rise in WTC indicators. Qualitative findings reveal that contextualized speaking tasks and authentic interaction fostered greater engagement and communicative risk-taking. The study confirms that communicative competence development requires integration of linguistic knowledge, sociocultural awareness, and emotional readiness. The results suggest that real-life simulation and multimodal communication tasks effectively promote “fluent and fearless” English use. Pedagogical implications highlight the importance of structured communicative environments that prioritize authentic use rather than grammatical accuracy alone.

Abstract

Sebagai fakta sosial, gono-gini (harta bersama suami-istri) merupakan fakta yang tak terbantahkan. Karenanya, gono-gini, apa dan bagaimananya, harus dianalisis secara sosiologi. Akan tetapi, gono-gini sebagai fakta hukum juga tak dapat dibantah. Maka, gono- gini harus dianalisis secara hukum. Dengan menggunakan dua perspektif dari dua cabang ilmu tersebut tulisan ini menyimpulkan, Ada tiga perspektif teoretis utama dalam sosiologi: struktural-fungsionalis, konflik sosial, dan interaksionis simbolik. Dengan demikian dalam gono-gini ada struktur-fungsional, konflik dan kesepahaman dari suatu interaksi. Sementara, tujuan utama dari kajian sosiologi hukum bukan lain menjadikan hukum berlaku efektif. Semua teori sosiologi hukum mulai dari teori moral, idiologi dan rekayasa sosial masing-masing hendak melihat efektivitas hukum dari sisi yang berbeda. Dalam konteks Indonesia, efektivitas gono-gini dapat dilihat dalam dua sisi: fakta sosiologis dan fakta yuridis. Sebagi fakta sosial gono-gini ini berlaku secara nyata di tengah masyarakat, dan terbukti masyarakat secara inisiatif mampu menyelesaikan sengketa gono-gini dengan cara mediasi. Secara yuridis, kepastian hukum tentang porsi gono-gini tidak ditetapkan secara jelas, tetapi itu dapat dipahami, sebab masyarakat Indonesia memang plural.

Abstract

In the digitalization era, English writing skill has a very important role, especially in copywriting and digital marketing. The purpose of the research is to identify the urgency of English writing skill in creating effective content for global audiences. By using qualitative descriptive approach, Data was obtained through deep interviews, documentation studies, observation and questionnaire from digital marketing practitioner, copywriter professional and digital marketing academia. The result of the research shows that the ability of English writing contributing significantly to the success of a marketing strategy such as the increasing engagement and the content attractiveness. The research findings also reveal the main challenges faced by practitioners, including a lack of training, time constraints in content production, and cross-cultural communication barriers. However, opportunities to overcome these challenges are widely available through the implementation of industry-driven training programs, the use of digital tools, and cross-cultural collaboration in producing globally relevant content. These findings highlight the importance of synergy between technical skills and cultural context understanding in optimizing the potential of digital marketing. This research provides both practical and theoretical contributions by recommending strategies to improve English writing skills, whether through formal education or professional training. Furthermore, this study is expected to serve as a reference for educational institutions and industry players in aligning training programs with global market needs.
