Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah di Kelurahan Pasir Putih, Jambi Selatan, menjadi tantangan serius yang memerlukan solusi inovatif. Artikel ini membahas strategi keberlanjutan lingkungan melalui kolaborasi antara akademisi, masyarakat, dan LSM. Peningkatan jumlah sampah yang tidak terkelola dengan baik menandai urgensi tindakan. Inisiatif ini melibatkan Program Studi Teknik Lingkungan Universitas Jambi, dengan fokus pada RT 16. Metode kegiatan melibatkan fase observasi lapangan, perencanaan, kolaborasi, dan eksekusi. Sosialisasi dan pembersihan area sungai menjadi bagian integral dari kegiatan tersebut. Evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat tentang nilai ekonomis sampah. Bank Sampah Bangkitku dan Bank Sampah Sihkumbang berperan dalam pengangkutan dan monitoring lanjutan. Hasilnya menciptakan kerjasama dengan pola Bank Sampah mini di RT 16 Pasir Putih, yang dapat mengurangi volume sampah menuju Tempat Pemrosesan Akhir (TPA) Talang Gulo. Pendekatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model inspiratif bagi komunitas lain dalam mengatasi tantangan pengelolaan sampah di tingkat lokal.

Abstract

The computation of eigenvalues for large-scale matrices is a crucial task in various scientific and engineering domains. This research focuses on the performance of numerical techniques, particularly those utilizing Hessenberg matrices, in solving eigenvalue problems. We investigate the efficacy of these methods and their implementation on modern computational platforms. Our study reveals that increasing the size of the Hessenberg matrix significantly enhances the accuracy of eigenvalue approximations. Through extensive simulations and performance evaluations, we demonstrate that larger Hessenberg matrices provide more precise eigenvalue solutions, underscoring the importance of matrix dimension in the computational process. These findings offer valuable insights for optimizing eigenvalue computations in large-scale applications.

Abstract

Jambi City has a Bantar Village program that has a variety of innovative development programs. Garbage and waste require effective processing to support Bantar Village. Method 1) Collection, cleaning, painting and waste of paint can. 2) Application of the 4R principle as a solution to reduce plastic waste. The purpose of the service is in the form of counseling to provide education and skills in making trash cans from paint cans to residents in RT16, Payo Selincah Village, Jambi City. The results of the paint can trash can products can be used by residents as one of the supporters of the Bantar Village program. Residents have the knowledge and skills in efforts to reduce plastic waste that can generate economic value.

Abstract

The urgency of introducing disaster-based digital technology to elementary school students is increasing along with the rising frequency and intensity of natural disasters in Indonesia, particularly in Kerinci Regency. The lack of students' understanding about disaster risks and their mitigation could hinder the achievement of disaster resilience at the community level. The activity was conducted at SDN 48/III Sungai Jambu, Kerinci Regency, involving 20 students. The method used was technology-based learning with a participatory approach, engaging students in discussions, simulations, and the use of the application to understand disaster risks in their surrounding environment. Evaluation was carried out using a survey to assess students' satisfaction with the activity and changes in their understanding of disaster-related topics. Survey results showed that most students were satisfied with the activity and found it beneficial in improving their knowledge of disaster mitigation. Additionally, students demonstrated a better understanding of mitigation measures after participating in the activity. The use of digital technology in disaster education proved to be effective in building awareness and disaster preparedness among students. This activity can serve as a model for enhancing disaster education in other schools, especially in disaster-prone areas.

Abstract

As part of good government governance, transparency, Accountability and participation are non-negotiable principles in management government. Good Governance can be realized if government institutions have it good transparency and accountability. Openness of public information aims to realizing good governance, so that the public can actively participate in controlling it every policy step taken by the government. As a Public Agency, PPID Ministry ESDM is obliged to provide and publish public information, provide information to the public or applicants for public information that is accurate, true and not misleading and in a simple way. On the other hand, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) continues to strive to improve program performance and policies in the fields of education, culture, research and technology. One of them is by improving service excellence (service excellence) which is oriented towards stakeholders. Indications of the success of the Ministry of Education and Culture's programs and policies are wrong the other is satisfaction from stakeholders in the form of a stakeholder index score satisfaction. To measure the level of customer satisfaction, a survey is needed national level which is carried out in a sustainable manner. In the bureaucratic reform program The Ministry of Education and Culture has determined eight program areas of change to focus on bureaucratic reform within the Ministry of Education and Culture, namely, 1) Change Management; 2) Strengthening Supervision; 3) Strengthening Performance Accountability; 4) Institutional Strengthening; 5) Strengthening Management; 6) Strengthening the HR Management System for Apparatus; 7) Reinforcement Legislation; 8) Improving the Quality of Public Services consisting of: (a) Student Services; (b) Education Unit Services; (c) Educational Substance Services; (d) Teacher and Education Services; (e) Cultural Services; (f) Available Language Services supported by optimization through improving the performance of the Ministry of Education and Culture's PPID in sector/subsector. The BPS RI is the main reference that can be accessed by the public related to Indonesian data and statistics, optimizing the role of PPID in its agencies by issued PPID BPS Decree NUMBER: B-323/02400/HK.200/07/2022 concerning Public Information Service Standards In BPS Environment. This research aims to carry out a Multiple Comparisons of Fulfillment of Responsive, Communicative and Educative Aspects of PPID BPS, Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia and Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia Using Bonferroni – ANOVA Post Hoc Test.

Abstract

Timbulan sampah yang dihasilkan oleh institusi pendidikan seperti sekolah, pondok pesantren dan kampus kerap tidak terlihat secara kasat mata namun sebagai lingkungan dengan jumlah siswa yang besar berpotensi menghasilkan sampah yang cukup banyak setiap harinya. Jika tidak dikelola dengan baik, sampah ini dapat menimbulkan pencemaran dan masalah kesehatan. Salah satu solusi yang dapat diterapkan adalah pengolahan sampah terutama sampah berjenis organik menggunakan larva lalat tentara hitam. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi kepada santri pondok pesantren Nurul Iman tentang biokonversi sampah organik berbasis BSF sebagai alternatif pengelolaan yang ramah lingkungan dan bernilai ekonomi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pemaparan materi melalui presentasi dan diskusi interaktif yang menjelaskan manfaat, proses kerja larva dalam mengurai sampah, serta dampaknya terhadap lingkungan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pengisian kuesioner sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan, yang dianalisis secara deskriptif dan menggunakan perhitungan gain score untuk menilai efektivitas intervensi edukatif. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan pada sebagian besar indikator, terutama pada pemahaman tentang manfaat ekonomi dan ekologis biokonversi. Meskipun sesi praktik tidak dapat dilaksanakan karena kendala teknis, peserta menunjukkan minat tinggi dan peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan pada aspek konseptual. Kegiatan ini dinilai efektif dalam membentuk kesadaran ekologis awal serta membuka peluang untuk pengembangan program lanjutan berbasis pesantren yang berorientasi pada pengelolaan limbah berkelanjutan dan pemberdayaan ekonomi lingkungan.

Abstract

This research discusses the optimization of the assignment of waste vehicle routes and transportation, which are responsible for transporting waste from temporary disposal sites to final disposal sites. The aim is to minimize the remaining waste at temporary disposal sites, thus creating a clean and comfortable environment. The focus of this research is determining the number of trips (rit) for each vehicle (dump trucks and arm roll trucks) on each route. Besides aiming to minimize the remaining waste at temporary disposal sites as the main priority, there are also other priorities, namely minimizing fuel usage and the working time within a day. Therefore, in accordance with the characteristics of the problem, where there are multiple objectives and an integer solution is required, The Simplex-Preemptive Goal Programming with the Branch and Bound method is proposed as the solution method. The optimal solution has been obtained. The result includes the optimal number of trips (rit) for each waste transport vehicles (dump trucks and arm roll trucks) on each routes.

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah masih menjadi isu krusial di Indonesia, termasuk di Kota Jambi yang menghasilkan timbulan sampah sebesar 447,7 ton per hari dengan dominasi sampah makanan dan plastik. Tempat Pengolahan Sampah Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (TPS 3R) Sinar Kenali merupakan salah satu TPS 3R yang terdapat di Kota Jambi untuk mendukung prinsip pengelolaan sampah berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan oleh tim pengabdian Universitas Jambi dengan tujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan, kesadaran, dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah. Metode kegiatan meliputi penyuluhan, pelatihan, promosi media cetak dan digital, serta keterlibatan langsung masyarakat. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pengetahuan masyarakat terkait pemilahan sampah, ditunjukkan oleh kenaikan pemahaman perbedaan sampah organik dan anorganik hingga 100% dan peningkatan kebiasaan memilah sampah dari 23% menjadi 57%. Kepemilikan tempat sampah terpilah di rumah meningkat dari 12% menjadi 35%, sedangkan ketersediaan fasilitas pemilahan di lingkungan naik dari 58% menjadi 74%. Namun, pemahaman konsep bank sampah mengalami penurunan, yang mengindikasikan perlunya peningkatan pemahaman secara fungsional. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan sosialisasi dan pemasaran TPS 3R Sinar Kenali terbukti efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat, meskipun masih diperlukan dukungan infrastruktur, kolaborasi lintas sektor, serta edukasi berkelanjutan untuk memperkuat budaya pengelolaan sampah berkelanjutan.
