Abstract

The success of a company can be determined by the human resources that are in it. The concept of commitment is an important aspect of the philosophy of human resource management. Lack of understanding of commitment makes the State of Indonesia has a low Commitment Index Value. Index of employee commitment in Indonesia according to Watson Wyatt's calculation, is only 57% lower by 7 points compared to Asia Pacific. This means that the level of employee loyalty in Indonesia is low in the Asia Pacific region. This study aims to determine the effect of compensation and work discipline on employee commitment. This research was conducted at PT. Cahaya Indah Madya Pratama. The study population was employees at PT Cahaya Indah Madya Pratama Lamongan, with a sample of 60 employees as respondents. This research is quantitative by using primary data sources in the form of answers from questionnaires obtained by total sampling technique. Data analysis tools used in this study are multiple linear regression test with the help of a SPSS computer program. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that compensation has a positive effect on employee commitment. Work discipline has a positive effect on employee commitment.

Abstract

Keberhasilan perusahaan dapat ditentukan oleh sumber daya manusia yang ada didalamnya. Konsep dari komitmen merupakan salah satu aspek penting dari filosofi human resource management. Kurangnya pemahaman terhadap komitmen menjadikan Negara Indonesia memiliki nilai index komitmen yang rendah. Index komitmen karyawan di Indonesia dalam Commitment Index Indonesia, menurut perhitungan Watson Wyatt hanya 57% yang lebih rendah 7 poin dibandingkan Asia Pasifik. Hal ini  berarti, tingkat loyalitas karyawan di Indonesia termasuk rendah di kawasan Asia Pasifik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompensasi dan disiplin kerja terhadap komitmen karyawan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT Cahaya Indah Madya Pratama Lamongan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah karyawan di PT Cahaya Indah Madya Pratama Lamongan, dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 karyawan sebagai responden. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan menggunakan sumber data primer berupa jawaban dari kuisioner yang diperoleh dengan teknik total sampling. Alat analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan program komputer SPSS. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa kompensasi berpengaruh positif terhadap komitmen karyawan. Disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap komitmen karyawan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style and work motivation on cleaning service performance with job satisfaction as a moderating variable. This research was conducted at the Cleaning service PT. Pelindo Daya Sejahtera work unit Primasatya Husada Citra Hospital Surabaya. The population of this study was 76 respondents because the population was not more  than 100 respondents, so the authors took 100% of the population as a sample in this study. In this study, a questionnaire was tested using validity and reliability tests, while the data analysis used in this study used the classical assumption test and the MRA (Moderated Regression Analysis) test. The results of this study indicate that the leadership style variable has an effect on performance of Cleaning service PT Pelindo Daya Sejahtera Work unit Primasatya Husada Citra Hospital Surabaya. Work motivation has a positive effect on cleaning service performance. Job satisfaction moderates by strengthening the influence of leadership style on cleaning service performance. Job satisfaction moderates by strengthening the effect of work motivation variables on cleaning service performance.
