Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of religious organizational culture development in improving students’ character. This research employed a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, students, and parents. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, including data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings revealed that the development of religious organizational culture was implemented through four management functions proposed by George R. Terry, namely planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation. Planning involved formulating religious programs and implementation strategies, organizing focused on assigning roles and responsibilities to school members, implementation was carried out through religious habituation activities such as congregational Dhuha prayer, recitation of Asmaul Husna, Qur’anic reading, and collective prayers, while evaluation was conducted continuously to monitor program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. The study found that religious organizational culture contributed significantly to the development of students’ religiosity, discipline, responsibility, and respectful behavior. These findings imply that systematic and sustainable management of religious organizational culture can serve as an effective strategy for strengthening character education and fostering positive student behavior in educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of student management in fostering the Pancasila Student Profile character in elementary education through the implementation of managerial functions. A qualitative case study approach was employed to obtain an in-depth understanding of student management practices in the natural school setting. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while credibility was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that the implementation of student management effectively supports character formation through four integrated management functions: planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. Planning was carried out by integrating character development into school programs, organizing through the distribution of responsibilities among school members, implementation through daily habituation and the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5), and controlling through continuous observation and character evaluation. Teacher commitment and exemplary behavior emerged as key supporting factors, whereas an unconducive classroom environment remained a significant challenge. The study implies that integrating student management functions into school practices is essential for promoting sustainable character education and strengthening the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile in elementary schools.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas peran penting prinsip kepemimpinan sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di kelas. Sebagai kepala sekolah, kepala sekolah mempunyai tanggung jawab untuk menekankan maksud dan tujuan, memeberikan bantuaan yang memadai, dan dan membina lingkungan yang menggugah minat siswa. Dengan menerapkan pendekatan kepemimpinan transformasional, kepala sekolah dapat menginspirasi dan membimbing guru untuk mencapai standar kinerja yang lebih tinggi. Pemantau dan evaluasi kinerja secara teratur, pemberdayaan guru melalui pengembangan profesional, dan manajemen konflik yang efektif juga menjadi fokus utama kepala sekolah. Penelitian yang dugunakan berupa pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara dan observasi sebagai cara untuk mengumpulkan data. Temua menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang berhasil berpengaruh positif terhadap semangat dan standar pengajaran, memberikan kontribusi signifikan pada peningkatan kinerja sekolah secara keseluruhan. Implikasi temuan ini adalah bahwa pengembangan pimpinan sekolah yang efektif akan menjadi startegi utama dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru. Kata Kunci: Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah, Kinerja Guru Abstract The central role of headmaster leadership in improving teacher performance in schools is discussed in this study. As the helm, the headmaster has an obligation to underline the vision and mission, provide adequate support, and create an atmosphere that arouses excitement among school members. By applying a transformational leadership approach, principals can inspire and guide teachers to achieve higher standards of performance. Regular monitoring and evaluation of performance, empowerment of teachers through professional development, and effective conflict management are also key focuses of principals. The research used is a qualitative approach with interview and observation methods as a way to collect data. The findings show that successful headmaster leadership positively influences teaching morale and standards, contributing significantly to the improvement of school performance. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peran kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam membangun citra lembaga pendidikan yang unggul dan berkarakter di tengah persaingan pendidikan yang semakin kompleks. Madrasah tidak hanya dituntut untuk meningkatkan kualitas akademik, tetapi juga mampu membentuk karakter siswa serta memperoleh kepercayaan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, kepemimpinan yang efektif menjadi faktor kunci dalam mengelola dan mengembangkan madrasah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam mewujudkan citra madrasah yang unggul dan berkarakter di MA Nurul Istifadah Gebangan Probolinggo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala madrasah menerapkan pola visioner dan transformasional yang mampu mengarahkan visi lembaga serta mendorong inovasi dalam pembelajaran dan pembinaan karakter siswa. Selain itu, penguatan budaya organisasi berbasis nilai-nilai keislaman seperti disiplin, religiusitas, dan tanggung jawab terbukti mampu menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang kondusif dan berkarakter. Peningkatan citra positif madrasah di masyarakat ditunjukkan melalui meningkatnya kepercayaan, partisipasi wali siswa, serta jumlah pendaftar siswa baru setiap tahun yang mencerminkan keberhasilan pengelolaan lembaga. Kontribusi penelitian ini memberikan penguatan pada kajian kepemimpinan pendidikan Islam, khususnya dalam integrasi antara kepemimpinan visioner, budaya organisasi berbasis nilai, dan strategi komunikasi dalam membangun citra madrasah yang unggul dan berkarakter.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of digital-based learning innovations in an effort to improve the quality of education at MA SAQA. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design; Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and document review involving the principal, teachers, and students. The findings show that the management of digital innovation in madrasas takes place through a series of activities: planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning stage, the school establishes a strategy for integrating technology into the curriculum and establishes supporting policies. During implementation, teachers utilize various digital media such as interactive presentations, learning videos, and bold communication platforms to enrich the teaching and learning process. The evaluation stage is carried out to assess the effectiveness of technology utilization and identify emerging obstacles so that improvements can be designed. Several factors that support successful implementation include the institution's commitment to the use of technology, the readiness of teachers to adopt new methods, and the enthusiasm of students to use digital devices. Conversely, obstacles that often arise include limited facilities and infrastructure (e.g., the number of devices and facilities is not evenly distributed) and unstable internet connectivity. The positive impact of digital-based learning innovations is reflected in the increased effectiveness of the learning process, increased student motivation and participation, and the development of digital teacher competencies. Furthermore, learning becomes more flexible because students can access a wider range of learning resources independently. Based on these results, several steps are recommended to optimize the implementation of digital learning at MA SAQA: strengthening policies that support digital transformation, improving the quality and equity of technology infrastructure and connectivity, and providing ongoing training and mentoring for educators. The implementation of these steps is expected to strengthen the effectiveness of digital learning innovations and contribute to improving the quality of education in madrasas.

Abstract

Excellent service management has become one of the important efforts to improve service quality in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). At Pondok Putri Darut Tauhid, Zainul Hasan Genggong Islamic Boarding School, excellent service is implemented through directed planning, clear and friendly administration, and open communication with the guardians of the students. This research aims to analyze the application of excellent service management in enhancing the trust of the guardians of students at Pondok Putri Darut Tauhid, Zainul Hasan Genggong Islamic Boarding School. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques involve data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data is tested through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results show that excellent service management at Pondok Putri Darut Tauhid, Zainul Hasan Genggong Islamic Boarding School is implemented through two stages, namely planning and execution. Planning is carried out through monthly meetings that discuss the identification of the needs of the guardians of students, service evaluations, task distribution among the management, provision of facilities and infrastructure, and the establishment of follow-up actions, while implementation is done through friendly administrative services and coordinated communication. The application of excellent service is capable of increasing the trust of the guardians of students, as evidenced by the emergence of trust and confidence in the quality of the boarding school's services, and the implementation of excellent service management provides positive implications for the improvement of service quality, communication effectiveness, and the positive image of the boarding school in society. Thus, structured and continuous excellent service management plays an important role in enhancing the trust of the guardians of students in the boarding school.

Abstract

Mutu pembelajaran merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam keberhasilan pendidikan yang dipengaruhi oleh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Melalui manajemen kurikulum berbasis cinta, kepala sekolah berupaya menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek akademik, tetapi juga pada pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran melalui manajemen kurikulum berbasis cinta di MAN 2 Probolinggo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi kepala sekolah dilakukan melalui perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kurikulum yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai cinta, empati, dan penghargaan terhadap peserta didik. Implementasi kurikulum berbasis cinta diwujudkan melalui pembelajaran yang humanis, keteladanan guru, serta terciptanya lingkungan belajar yang nyaman dan kondusif. Penerapan strategi tersebut berdampak pada meningkatnya motivasi belajar, kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, dan kualitas pembelajaran peserta didik. Dengan demikian, manajemen kurikulum berbasis cinta menjadi salah satu strategi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran di MAN 2 Probolinggo.
