Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Leverage, Financial Performance, and Capital Structure on Financial Distress with Good Corporate Governance as an Intervening variable in Pharmaceutical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). The population in this study are pharmaceutical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2021. The method of analysis in this study is path analysis using Smart PLS 2.0 software. The end result of this research is a picture of causation, so this method uses samples and hypotheses. The test results show that Leverage has a significant effect on Financial Distress, Leverage has a significant effect on Good Corporate Governance, Financial Performance has a significant effect on Financial Distress, Financial Performance has a significant effect on Good Corporate Governance, Capital Structure has a significant effect on Financial Distress, Capital Structure has a significant effect on Good Corporate Governance, Good Corporate Governance has a significant effect on Financial Distress, Leverage has a significant effect on Financial Performance, and Capital Structure has a significant effect on Financial Performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the impact of capital structure, macroeconomic conditions, firm characteristics, and liquidity on financial performance, with profitability as an intervening variable, among food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2021 to 2024. This research employs an explanatory quantitative method using the SEM-PLS approach supported by SmartPLS software. The sample consists of eight companies selected through purposive sampling based on the criteria of having complete financial reports and not being delisted during the research period. The findings indicate a significant positive influence of capital structure and firm characteristics on profitability, while macroeconomic conditions and liquidity show no significant effect. Furthermore, the results reveal that firm characteristics and profitability significantly affect financial performance, whereas capital structure, macroeconomic conditions, and liquidity do not exhibit a direct impact. Profitability also serves as a mediating variable that links the effects of capital structure and firm characteristics to financial performance. These results suggest that internal company factors play a more dominant role than external factors in determining profitability and financial performance in the food and beverage sector.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of self-control, lifestyle, income, digital technology, and digital payment usage on financial literacy. Although digital payment adoption in Indonesia continues to grow, financial literacy levels remain relatively low, highlighting the need to understand the factors that shape it. A quantitative approach was applied through questionnaires distributed to active users of digital payment tools. The results show that self-control significantly affects financial literacy, emphasizing the importance of psychological factors in shaping financial behavior. Lifestyle and digital payment usage do not influence financial literacy, indicating that digital payment functions mainly as a practical transaction tool rather than a financial education medium. Income affects digital payment usage but does not influence financial literacy. Moreover, digital technology does not moderate the relationship between digital payment usage and financial literacy. These findings underscore the importance of behavior-oriented financial education to improve financial literacy in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of asset investment, ownership structure, operating cash flow, and capital structure on firm growth, with Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as an intervening variable in textile and garment companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2021–2024 period. The research employs a quantitative approach using Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings show that asset investment has no significant effect on firm growth but has a significant negative effect on operating cash flow. Ownership structure does not significantly affect either operating cash flow or firm growth. Capital structure has a significant negative effect on operating cash flow, yet it does not significantly influence firm growth. Operating cash flow also shows no significant effect on firm growth. Furthermore, GCG does not strengthen the relationship between operating cash flow and firm growth. Overall, the study concludes that most internal factors have not been able to serve as the main drivers of firm growth within the textile industry during 2021–2024 due to high cost pressures, market instability, and substantial financial burdens

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of human resource audits on training and compensation on employee performance and career development as an intervening variable at PT XYZ. The research uses descriptive quantitative method. The population in this study were employees of PT XYZ who were placed in outlets in Taman sub-district, Sidoarjo. The sampling technique in the study used Purposive Sampling Technique with the criteria of employees who deal directly with consumers totaling 35 people. Data obtained by filling out a questionnaire. The data was processed using the SmartPLS statistical tool and analyzed using the inner and outer models. The results of the study found that training and compensation have a positive and insignificant effect on employee performance and training has a positive and significant effect on career development.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between capital structure, dividend policy, financial performance and company value in the telecommunications industry. This research uses quantitative methods and applies secondary data. The research results show that capital structure, dividend policy and financial performance greatly influence company value. In other words, making decisions about capital structure, dividend policy, and financial performance can positively influence increasing company value. In other words, the results of this research can be used by practitioners and decision makers in the telecommunications industry to help them increase the value of their business.

Abstract

This research is to assess how corporate governance, ownership structure, company attributes, leverage, and accounting conservatism together influence tax avoidance in manufacturing companies listed on the IDX from 2019 to 2021. This research uses quantitative techniques by analyzing financial reports.

Abstract

PT Andalan Inti Indonesia is a company operating in the retail sector. In running a business, a company needs to pay attention to the management control system. As one part of carrying out management functions, planning cannot be separated from control. The management control system itself has the aim of planning, evaluating and making decisions in order to develop and maintain the company's survival. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of data analysis show that the strategic planning process at PT Andalan Inti Indonesia is good and budget preparation is carried out per division as well as to make it easier to detail the budget for activity needs. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of the management system control function at PT Andalan Inti Indonesia is quite good and running well. The company has focused on increasing brand awareness as a step in achieving its sales target of 2 billion. Apart from marketing its products offline, the company also utilizes technology that supports the popularity of the online market. Employee placement is carried out appropriately to ensure the effectiveness and productivity of each division. Overall, PT Andalan Inti Indonesia has a structured and holistic approach to company management, with a focus on adapting to market changes, evaluating performance, and implementing short-term strategies that are in line with online market trends.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the persistence of the middle-income trap in Indonesia through the perspective of Integrated Reality Theory (IRT). Unlike conventional growth approaches that emphasize capital accumulation, IRT integrates five fundamental variables Energy, Information, Entropy, Consciousness, and Evolution into a systemic analytical framework. This research employs a qualitative method with conceptual and comparative analysis approaches. The data used are derived from secondary sources, including the World Bank, Transparency International, and the Asian Productivity Organization. Quantitative data are utilized as empirical illustrations to support the analysis rather than as a basis for causal inference. Indonesia is compared with Vietnam as a country that has demonstrated accelerated productivity growth and more effective economic transformation. The findings indicate that the persistence of the middle-income trap in Indonesia is largely influenced by high systemic entropy, which results in large-scale energy leakage. This condition is further exacerbated by low institutional consciousness and the slow pace of adaptive capacity toward change. These findings imply the need for a shift in policy orientation, from mere economic expansion toward comprehensive structural cleansing and reform.
