Abstract

This study explores the strategic integration of play therapy within early childhood education management as a means to promote inclusive education and holistic child development. Drawing on a qualitative secondary data analysis of policy documents, academic literature, and theoretical models, the research identifies key frameworks, challenges, and sustainable strategies for embedding therapeutic interventions in school systems. Findings suggest that play therapy contributes significantly to emotional regulation, social inclusion, trauma recovery, and individualized learning—core components of equitable education. However, the institutionalization of play therapy faces various barriers, including policy gaps, resource limitations, staff training deficits, and cultural stigma surrounding mental health. The paper concludes with a set of actionable recommendations for educational leaders and policymakers to build systemic readiness and long-term sustainability through cross-sectoral collaboration, curriculum alignment, and inclusive leadership practices.

Abstract

This study explores the role of clinical supervision in restructuring supervises’ resilience during the early stages of play therapy training. Despite extensive research on client outcomes, limited attention has been given to supervises’ psychological and professional development. This study addresses this gap by examining how supervision contributes to supervisees’ behavioural and emotional transformation. A qualitative case study approach was employed, analysing 22 supervision sessions through processed diary transcriptions. Methodological triangulation was applied by integrating qualitative analysis with an artificial intelligence–based instrument, FotoKarakter, to enhance validity and provide additional behavioural insights. The findings reveal a significant transformation in supervises’ personality, shifting from task-oriented to people-oriented characteristics, as illustrated through a U-shaped developmental trajectory. The supervision triangle framework plays a crucial role in facilitating reflective learning, emotional regulation, and professional identity formation. This study contributes to the advancement of play therapy by repositioning supervision as a critical mechanism not only for client outcomes but also for supervisee development. Practically, the findings highlight the importance of structured supervision and the integration of objective measurement tools in strengthening supervises’ resilience and professional competence.

Abstract

This community service article reports a behavior-based intervention aimed at strengthening self-management among older adults residing at Jubilee Home Penang, Malaysia. Drawing on organizational behavior and self-regulation theory, the program responds to the growing need for psychosocial empowerment of older adults in institutional care settings. The intervention was designed using a participatory approach and implemented through four stages: initial behavioral assessment, structured educational sessions, guided self-reflection and practice, and qualitative evaluation. Data were collected through systematic observation, facilitator field notes, and participant feedback. The findings demonstrate meaningful improvements in self-awareness, emotional regulation, daily activity structuring, and perceived personal control among participants. This article offers novelty by extending organizational behavior concepts traditionally applied in workplace contexts into community service for older adults, positioning them as active agents of behavioral regulation. The program contributes a theoretically grounded and replicable model of community service that emphasizes behavioral agency and self-efficacy in later life

Abstract

Background: Waste management in Indonesia is a complex and ongoing issue affecting environmental, public health, and economic development, as well as the overall quality of life. Objective: This paper examines the issue from a socio-political and philosophical perspective, recognizing that waste is more than a technical issue it is also an ethical issue and one of social responsibility. Methods: This research uses normative qualitative research, combining philosophical analysis with systematic policy evaluation. Results: The waste crisis is interpreted as reflecting three interrelated failures: (1) individual moral failure widespread disregard for collective environmental responsibility; (2) socioeconomic injustice the disproportionate burden of poor waste management falling on marginalized communities; and (3) governance failure characterized by weak institutional coordination, poor policy implementation, and inadequate enforcement. This study contributes a normative ethical framework that bridges political philosophy and public policy analysis in the Indonesian context. Conclusion: These efforts are essential for developing fair, sustainable, and human rights-based waste management systems in the public interest. The novelty of this study lies in its application of a normative political ethics framework drawing on Suseno (2016) to systematically evaluate waste governance as a moral and institutional accountability issue, thereby bridging philosophical analysis with public policy discourse in the Indonesian context.

This study examined the influence of work motivation, loyalty, and employee quality on employee performance at PT Ho Wah Genting Batam. The research applied a quantitative descriptive and causal approach using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 152 employees selected from a population of 250 production department employees based on the Krejcie and Morgan sampling table. Data were analyzed using SPSS 26 through descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, coefficient of determination, t-test, and F-test. The findings demonstrated that work motivation, loyalty, and employee quality positively and significantly affected employee performance both partially and simultaneously. The t-test results showed that work motivation had a significant effect on employee performance with a significance value of 0.029, loyalty with 0.005, and employee quality with 0.022, all below the 0.05 threshold. Simultaneously, the variables significantly influenced employee performance, as reflected by an F-count of 103.603 and a significance value of 0.000. The coefficient of determination indicated that 34.6% of employee performance variation could be explained by work motivation, loyalty, and employee quality, while the remaining percentage was influenced by other variables outside the research model. These findings confirm that improving employee motivation, strengthening organizational loyalty, and enhancing employee quality are essential strategies for optimizing employee performance within manufacturing companies.
