Abstract

The Ngelawang Barong Bangkung tradition is an activity carried out by sekaa or a group of people to dance the barong benchung from one house door to another during the celebration of the holy days of Galungan and Kuningan. The formulation of the problem in this research is regarding the philosophical Ngelawang Barong Bangkung in Kediri Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency and the religious educational values ​​contained in the Ngelawang Barong Bangkung procession. The theories used in this research are symbolic interactionism theory and religious theory. The type of data for this research is descriptive qualitative. The informants were determined using purposive sampling. The data in this research was obtained through: observation, interviews, documentation. The results obtained include: 1) Philosophically, the Ngelawang Barong Bangkung tradition in Banjar Dinas Pande and Banjar Dinas Demung, Kediri Village is a sacred tradition that has existed for a long time and has been passed down from generation to generation and is still carried out to this day. The community believes that there is a spirit that animates the implementation of the ngelawang barong benchung tradition. The barong benchung in these two banjars is believed to be a manifestation of Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. 2) The religious education values ​​contained in the Ngelawang Barong Bangkung procession in Kediri Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency consist of: a. aspects of religious belief, b. aspects of worship (religious practice), c. aspects of appreciation (religious feeling) d. knowledge aspect (religious knowledge), e. practice aspect (religious effect).

Abstract

The challenge faced in forming the character of the young generation is the increase in juvenile delinquency triggered by the lack of attention and guidance from parents and the environment. This study aimed at analysing the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile values ​​based on local wisdom in Hindu elementary schools. This research was case study research analysing the principal and teachers at Saraswati Elementary School Singaraja as the subjects of the research. This school was chosen because it was the only Hindu elementary school in North Bali. The data collection method was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis method in this study was the Miles and Huberman qualitative analysis model. The results of the study indicated that the values ​​of the Pancasila Student Profile based on local wisdom that had been implemented at Saraswati Singaraja elementary school were Faith, Devotion to God Almighty, and Noble Character. Those values were shown as the students were provided with learning materials of Hindu Religious Education and Character Education (8 lesson hours per week) as well as they were guided to have habit of eating meals together. The Global Diversity Value had been instilled through practical activities by making Ketipat and Canang Sari. The Mutual Cooperation Value had been implemented in waste sorting. The Independent Value was reflected when students work independently on tests or exams. The Critical Reasoning Value was instilled when students were asked to criticize problems in the surrounding environment in the Pancasila Education subject. The Creative Value had been instilled during the activity of making decorative pictures of important figures from attractively decorated plastic food wrappers.

Abstract

Penggunaan kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) dalam dunia pendidikan semakin berkembang, termasuk dalam pengajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu di Kota Mataram. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam memanfaatkan AI sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Learning System (PALS) dan Project-Based Learning yang dilaksanakan dalam empat tahap, yaitu pembelajaran langsung, praktik pembuatan media, pendampingan, dan forum diskusi tindak lanjut. Evaluasi dilakukan secara deskriptif melalui observasi, tes uraian, dan penilaian produk media pembelajaran menggunakan skala empat kategori. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada penguasaan konsep AI dan literasi digital (92,6%), hasil produk media pembelajaran inovatif dengan skor rata-rata baik hingga sangat baik (100% tuntas), serta keberhasilan pendampingan hingga 80,2% capaian target. Meskipun terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur dan literasi digital awal yang rendah, pelatihan ini terbukti efektif meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam merancang media pembelajaran berbasis AI. Diperlukan pelatihan lanjutan dan dukungan kelembagaan agar transformasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dapat berkelanjutan serta relevan dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan agama Hindu.

Abstract

This research focuses on studying the value of character education contained in the Tutur Aji Saraswati Text. The problem expressed in this study is the analysis of the content of the Tutur Aji Saraswati text and the study of the character education values contained therein. The purpose of this study is to introduce widely one of the Hindu texts that needs to be understood and studied and to provide an overview of the values of character education that can be obtained from the Tutur Aji Saraswati Text. This study uses a qualitative approach, which is described in words. The Tutur Aji Saraswati Text was analyzed and interpreted according to the ability and reasoning power of the researcher. The results of this study show that Tutur Aji Saraswati is a text that contains teachings and advice regarding spiritual knowledge, such as self-purification, in achieving enlightenment. This ejection also contains teachings on kamoksan as well as explanations about words (sounds) and scripts (Dasa Aksara) in relation to Bhuwana Alit and Bhuwana Agung. Meanwhile, the character values obtained from Lontar are religious values, honest values, discipline values, creative values, and responsibility values.

Abstract

Permasalahan umat Hindu terkait pemahaman tentang banten merupakan isu yang kompleks dan berakar dalam tradisi serta praktik keagamaan. Fokus pembahasan yaitu tentang pemahaman masyarakat tentang otonan dan persepsi mengenai banten otonan yang dipandang rumit karena keterbatasan pengetahuan dan waktu, serta bagaimana solusi dari problematika tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi dengan tiga tahap pelaksanaan yaitu, presentasi, praktik (demonstrasi) dan evaluasi serta diskusi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa minat masyarakat dalam mengikuti pelatihan pembuatan banten cukup besar, terlebih perkembangan jaman yang seolah menuntut masyarakat lebih memilih instan dengan membeli daripada membuat sendiri banten otonan dikarenakan pemahaman yang kurang dan persepsi tentang banten yang masih dirasa terlalu rumit. Melalui pelatihan ini, masyarakat menjadi lebih paham serta mampu untuk membuat banten otonan sederhana sesuai dengan sastra Agama Hindu.

Abstract

Bullying has a serious impact on the mental health of children and adolescents, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and decreased self-esteem. Mind–body interventions such as Hatha Yoga are considered effective in supporting recovery by strengthening emotional regulation and psychological balance. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Hatha Yoga in the recovery of bullying victims through a literature review using the PEOS framework. The search was conducted through PubMed with the keywords “Yoga” and “Mental Health,” covering publications from the last five years with clinical trial and randomized controlled trial designs.. The studies also confirm the feasibility and acceptability of yoga as a non-pharmacological intervention for adolescents and university students. Given its feasible, acceptable, and low-risk nature, Hatha Yoga can be integrated into school and community programs as both a preventive and curative strategy. Further randomized controlled trials specifically targeting bullying victims are required to strengthen the empirical evidence.

Abstract

Saving habits are a fundamental aspect in shaping a thrifty, disciplined, and responsible character from an early age. However, in Dusun Alas Malang, awareness of the importance of saving remains low, especially among children. Through an individual Community Service Program (KKN), an educational and training-based activity was carried out to foster saving habits among elementary school students. The methods used included delivering learning materials, practicing decorating piggy banks made from recycled materials using origami paper, and conducting a question-and-answer session as an evaluation. Hindu economic values from Sloka Sarasamuccaya 262 were integrated to relate the concept of saving with religious teachings. The results showed an increase in children’s understanding and enthusiasm for saving pocket money, along with improved creativity through piggy bank decoration activities. This program effectively fostered frugality, creativity, and financial as well as moral responsibility. Early saving education is essential to build children’s awareness of financial management.
