Abstract

Every learning activity that uses a model allows learning interactions between teachers and students, as well as between students and other students. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of elementary school students' science learning projects in the Merdeka Belajar era through the implementation of guided inquiry learning. The research method is Quasi Experimental Design which does not require the sample to be randomly selected (random). This study involved all students at SD Negeri Kabinuang, with a sample of class V selected through a purposive mechanism. Written test instruments, direct observation, and documentation were used to collect data. Analyzed inferentially by using the results of processed statistical data. The results showed that the question-directed learning model is very effective in carrying out science projects in the Merdeka Belajar era. These results can be generalized in a broader context. The guided inquiry model is proven to be effective and appropriate to be applied in science learning based on science projects in elementary schools when used for science project activities that are in accordance with the desired learning concepts in the Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools.

Abstract

Growing civic awareness is important because it incorporates the practice of Pancasila values, which are the foundation of life, nation and state. It needs to be done from an early age, starting from basic education to become the next generation and future leadership relay holders. The main aim of this research is to increase children's citizenship awareness at the elementary school level through teaching activities designed through the Edukids Program with a civic perspective, such as unity, diversity and participation in social life. This research method is descriptive qualitative, which is used to describe and analyze with an argumentative-contextualistic approach regarding the implementation of the "EduKids" program involving fifth-grade students at Pulias Abaling State Elementary School and PGSD students at Madako University Tolitoli third semester class of 2022 as research subjects. The stages of research implementation were observed using direct observation techniques and interviews. Data were analyzed using the interactive approach of the Miles and Huberman model including selecting informative data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions from research results. This program is designed with an interactive, results-oriented approach, including the use of stories, practices and games during the learning process. As a result of this research, information was obtained that the implementation of the "EduKids" program in class V of Pulias Abaling State Elementary School succeeded in increasing elementary school children's understanding of their rights and obligations as citizens, and they began to actively participate in social activities at school and in the community where they live.

Abstract

Bahasa merupakan sistem lambang bunyi yang ditentukan secara sewenang-wenang, yang digunakan oleh anggota suatu masyarakat untuk berkolaborasi, berinteraksi, dan mengidentifikasi diri. pengertian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Bahasa Merupakan salah satu sarana untuk berinteraksi dengan Individu lainnya. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini difokuskan pada peran penting Bahasa Indonesia sebagai alat komunikasi dalam kehidupan sosial di desa Lakatan. Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan penelitian kualitatif untuk mengambarkan situasi Bahasa Indonesia yang di desa lakatan. Data yang dikumpulkan berasal dari sumber primer (wawancara dan dokumentasi), serta sumber sekunder berupa literatur jurnal terkait kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat desa Lakatan Mengenai pentingnya penggunaan bahasa Indonesia. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar masyarakat di desa Lakatan masih lebih banyak menggunakan bahasa daerah mereka. Meskipun, orang tua di desa tersebut tetap memberikan pendidikan kepada anak – anak mereka tentang penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia. saat berada dilingkungan sekolah,anak-anak di motivasi menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia tanpa mengabaikan Bahasa Daerah mereka masing-masing. Melalui kegiatan penyuluhan ini, masyarakat desa Lakatan dapat menyadari pentingnya Bahasa Indonesia sebagai alat komunikasi dalam kehidupan sosial bermasyarakat.

Abstract

The ethnoscience learning strategy is designed to develop students' ethnographic insight into scientific knowledge by combining modern science with traditional knowledge possessed by local communities or specific ethnic groups. As such, its implementation in elementary schools is highly relevant for developing students' appreciation of local wisdom values. The assessment of its effectiveness served as the primary basis for conducting this study, which was analyzed using a case study-based mixed-methods approach involving teachers and students from grades IV, V, and VI as a representation of the population at SDN 1 Nalu. The findings show that ethnoscience learning, based on strengthening local wisdom values, is highly effective in several ways: (1) increasing students' understanding of ethnoscience concepts; (2) improving students' critical thinking skills related to the development of local wisdom and scientific insights; (3) fostering the development of scientific attitudes; and (4) promoting the development of students' character in relation to local wisdom. The implications of these findings suggest that ethnoscience learning is an approach that stimulates the development of students' scientific concepts in connection with cultural heritage and the practice of local wisdom values in Tolitoli Regency, thereby increasing students' awareness of regional cultural heritage.

Abstract

Semakin meluasnya penggunaan media sosial, siswa di SD mudah mendapat informasi yang dapat memengaruhi pandangan siswa tentang karir dimasa depan. Oleh karena itu, Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meneliti konsekuensi dari interaksi dengan media sosial terhadap pemahaman karir yang dimiliki oleh siswa tingkat dasar, khususnya di SD Negeri 17 Tolitoli. Penelitian ini meneliti bagaimana media sosial memengaruhi pandangan siswa terhadap berbagai pilihan karir di masa depan. Dalam penelitian ini, metode deskriptif kualitatif diterapkan melalui pendekatan fenomenologi-kontekstualistik. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 20 puluh siswa yang tergabung dalam kelas V dan VI. Metode pengumpulan data yang diterapkan adalah trianggulasi sumber melalui pengamatan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data mencakup reduksi data, penyajian informasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara deduktif. Dampak penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media sosial sangat memengaruhi persepsi dan berkonstribusi pada pilihan karir siswa SD, serta menyediakan panduan bagi pendidik dan orang tua untuk memberikan bimbingan karir yang lebih baik. Abstract

The transformation of school libraries into literacy-based learning centers in elementary schools is a strategy to improve students' reading and critical thinking culture. The purpose of this study is to analyze the managerial role of school library managers in building a reading literacy culture at SDN Sandana. Data collection techniques by conducting observation activities, interviews with one of the educators to collect information or data to support data analysis. The results of the study show that effective managerial supervision plays an important role in supporting the transformation by proving that respondents' satisfaction with the following aspects: (1) Innovation of School Library Facilities (87.46%), (2) Development of Library Collections (83.56%), (3) Evaluation of Library Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) (84.39%), (4) Library Human Resource Management (84.20%), and (5) Development of Literacy Movement in the School Environment (83.12%). The implication of this research lies in strengthening the role of libraries as a dynamic learning environment in improving students' overall educational literacy.

Abstract

Strengthening local cultural identity is important in the current era of modernization and globalization. There are various foreign cultures and trends that can erode local culture in society so that the field of education is required to actively contribute. This article aims to examine the role of social studies education in strengthening the cultural identity of the Toli-Toli community by reviewing it from the perspective of teachers and students. This research method adopts a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation and interviews with teachers and students at SDN 26 Toli-Toli. The findings show that social studies learning carried out in schools plays a major role in introducing students to local culture, namely that which develops in Toli-Toli. Students are known to be able to learn and get to know many cultures such as regional languages, traditional houses, music, dances, traditional ceremonies, and various other cultures that are the identity of Toli-Toli Culture. Teachers carry out learning through images, videos, and culture-based projects so that students are interested and active in activities. This is able to build awareness for students in preserving local culture so that it makes a major contribution to strengthening the cultural identity of the Toli-Toli community. Thus, schools through the development of synchronization in continuing to integrate the content of the local cultural context into social studies learning in schools.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of the group discussion method in Social Studies learning to enhance the understanding of social values among 4th-grade elementary school students. The research employed a qualitative approach, collecting data through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the group discussion method positively impacts students' social values when implemented with proper preparation, balanced group formation, and effective teacher facilitation. The method promotes active participation, collaborative learning, and social skill development. However, challenges were identified, including participation inequality, time management issues, and the need for teachers' guidance throughout the process. This research contributes to understanding effective teaching strategies for social values education in elementary settings and offers practical recommendations for educators implementing discussion-based learning approaches.

Abstract

Low reading interest among fourth grade students in Indonesian language lessons at SDN Malangga Selatan is a common problem. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effectiveness of using Animaker multimedia to increase reading interest. The study used a quantitative pre-experiment method with a one-group pretest-posttest design on 20 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation and testing and analyzed using a paired-sample t-test. The analysis revealed a statistically significant increase in reading interest (p < 0.05), evident in the increase of the students' average score from 66 to 80. This study concludes that Animaker multimedia is an effective learning tool for fostering students' interest in reading and is therefore recommended as a more engaging and motivational learning solution.
