Abstract

This article aims to find out and describe the relationship between Islamic psychology and the handling of emotional stress and the involvement of grandmother's parenting. The methods used in this study were literature study, observation, and interviews to find out about the relationship between Islamic psychology and emotional stress management. Islamic psychology is a field of study that combines Islamic principles and teachings with modern psychological principles to understand human behavior and offers a holistic approach in understanding and treating psychological problems. Emotional distress, or emotional stress, is a state of emotional imbalance that occurs when individuals encounter emotionally challenging situations or events. Parenting that is not good will make the child become a closed person and lack confidence. This article was written with the aim of conveying information to the reader, so that it can be used as a reference to increase the reader's knowledge, and can have an academic impact on the writer. This article contains the relationship between Islamic psychology and dealing with emotional stress and the involvement of grandmothers in parenting.

Abstract

Kasus gangguan makan kini semakin meningkat seiring perkembangan zaman dan dapat diderita oleh siapa saja dalam berbagai kelompok usia, gender etnik, atau pun ras. Kondisi yang tergolong ke dalam gangguan psikiatri serius ini dapat menyebabkan disabilitas yang sangat menggangu kesehatan fisik serta psikosial bahkan dapat mengancam nyawa. Penyebab terjadinya gangguan makan sangat kompleks dan multifaktoral. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa penyebab dari gangguan makan pada salah satu individu yang peneliti wawancarai, jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan subyek penelitian satu orang mahasiswi di universitas Politeknik ganesha. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitain menunjukkan bahwa penyebab gangguan makan pada salah satu mahasiswi di universitas politeknik ganesha tersebut adalah karena banyak fikiran dan banyak nya tugas perkuliahan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab keluhan keterlambatan berbicara (Speech Delay) pada salah satu anak yang berusia 11 tahun yang berasal dari Kota Tebing Tinggi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subyek penelitian satu orang yang mengalami keterlambatan berbicara dengan observasi, wawancara. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa penyebab dari keterlambatan berbicara pada anak tersebut adalah karena faktor keluarga yang tidak mendukung anak untuk berlatih dalam berbicara.

Abstract

According to Adler, living things are an inseparable social unit. They relate to the social cooperation around them, placing the general welfare ahead of their own desires, and achieving a stronger way of life within social organization. Adler made a major contribution to thinking, namely, firstly, he emphasized the social factor of behavior, secondly, the concept of self-creation, and thirdly, the characteristics of each personality. Adler further developed these main points so that they became the characteristics of Adlerian thought, namely: a) the purpose of life, b) the ego drive, c) feelings of inferiority, d) the societal impulse, e) lifestyle, and f) creative power. The basics of Alfred Adler's personality theory assume that individuals and their life problems are always social, such as belonging to other people and paying attention to the welfare of that person.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara iklim organisasi dan pengembangan karir terhadap stres kerja pada perawat di Rumah Sakit Umum Bandung Medan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional, melibatkan 87 perawat yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang mencakup skala iklim organisasi, pengembangan karir, dan stres kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara iklim organisasi dan pengembangan karir dengan stres kerja, dengan koefisien korelasi R = 0,742 dan sig = 0,000 < 0,05. Kontribusi iklim organisasi dan pengembangan karir terhadap stres kerja mencapai 55%, sementara 45% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak diteliti, seperti pekerjaan, peran dalam organisasi, dan karakteristik individu. Hasil lebih lanjut mengungkapkan bahwa iklim organisasi memiliki hubungan negatif signifikan dengan stres kerja (koefisien korelasi -0,668), di mana semakin baik iklim organisasi, semakin rendah tingkat stres kerja. Iklim organisasi memberikan kontribusi sebesar 44,6%. Selain itu, pengembangan karir juga memiliki hubungan negatif signifikan dengan stres kerja (koefisien korelasi -0,523), yang berarti semakin baik pengembangan karir, semakin rendah tingkat stres kerja, dengan kontribusi sebesar 27,3%.  Kesimpulannya, terdapat hubungan signifikan antara iklim organisasi dan pengembangan karir dengan stres kerja, yang menunjukkan pentingnya menciptakan iklim organisasi yang baik serta pengembangan karir yang jelas untuk mengurangi tingkat stres kerja perawat.

Abstract

Teachers are one of the factors that greatly influence the teaching and learning process to produce quality and highly competitive human beings. Teachers in carrying out their profession or work will certainly experience emotional challenges and require good psychological well being. This study aims to determine the role of self-efficacy and social support to improve the psychological well being of Raudhatul Athfal (RA) teachers. The subjects of the study were 266 honorary RA teachers in Langkat Regency. Measurements used a scale of psychological well being, self-efficacy and social support. Multiple regression analysis showed that there was a significant positive effect between self-efficacy and psychological well being (tx1y = 10,745 with p = 0.000 meaning p <0.05) and provided an effective contribution of 50.71%. Social support has a significant positive effect on psychological well being (tx2y = 2,176 with p = 0.030, meaning p <0.05) and provided an effective contribution of 8.64%. For the interaction effect, a significant influence of Self-efficacy and Social Support was obtained simultaneously on Psychological Well Being where the coefficient F = 192.334; with p = 0.000 means p <0.050. The effective contribution of both variables of self-efficacy and social support was 59.4% (R2 = 0.594). Thus, this study shows that self-efficacy and social support play a significant role in the psychological well being of RA teachers, both simultaneously and separately.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the influence of the Maternal Reflective Method (MRM) on improving the speech and social interaction skills of deaf children at SLB-B Karya Murni Medan. The low verbal communication and social interaction abilities among deaf children present a crucial problem, impacting their learning development and social adaptation. Using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design, this study involved elementary-level deaf students, divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through structured observation using instruments that had undergone validity and reliability testing. Data analysis using t-tests showed that the experimental group experienced a significant increase in average scores from 23 to 71 in both speech and social skills compared to the control group. The improvement in speech skills was evidenced by the children's enhanced ability to express ideas/concepts with clearer vocalization, more appropriate intonation, more accurate pronunciation, and improved word order and speech fluency. Furthermore, the implementation of MRM significantly affected the deaf children's social skills, demonstrated by an increased frequency of interaction initiation, more active responses to conversational partners, and the manifestation of more adaptive social attitudes in small group activities. While showing positive results, this study was limited to a single institution with a restricted number of subjects, thus requiring cautious generalization. The effectiveness of MRM is highly dependent on facilitator quality and individual child characteristics. Future research can explore these factors more deeply and address challenges in MRM implementation, such as children's resistance to the reflective process. This research recommends integrating MRM as one of the supporting methods in SLB learning programs, with consideration for adaptation to each school's specific context and resources.

Abstract

The absence of a father due to death poses profound emotional challenges, particularly for young adults navigating life away from home. This study investigates how migrant university students in Medan, Indonesia who have lost their fathers develop emotional maturity and resilience amid such loss. Conducted using a qualitative descriptive method involving three female students aged 18–25 who met specific criteria related to father loss and migration status. Participants were selected through purposive sampling, and data were obtained via interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the process of adaptation was gradual and non-linear, marked by periods of vulnerability alongside personal growth. Cultural values such as responsibility, perseverance, and maintaining family honor played an important role in shaping coping strategies. This research highlights that emotional maturity and resilience are built through continuous adaptation rather than formed instantly. It provides valuable insights into the lived experiences of bereaved internal migrant students and underscores the need for culturally responsive psychosocial support within academic settings.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of learning videos on learning independence and learning motivation of Permata Bunda Awaliyah Middle School students in Bandar Lampung. The population of this study was 76 students. Sampling in this study was carried out using a purposive technique, namely taking samples based on certain characteristics, determining the sample by screening during the pre-test, so a sample of 22 students was obtained. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a ne group pretest posttest design. The measuring instruments used are the learning independence scale and learning motivation scale as well as learning videos. Data analysis used the T test. The results of this study showed that there was no effect of learning videos on student learning independence, with a t coefficient value of -0.181 and a significance value of 0.789 > 0.05, so the hypothesis was rejected. Furthermore, the research results also show that there is no influence of learning videos on student learning motivation, with a t coefficient value of -0.691 and a significance value of 0.493 > 0.05, so the hypothesis is rejected.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of self-concept and parenting patterns on bullying behavior at SMA The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale with three scales, namely the bullying behavior scale, self-concept scale and parenting style scale. Based on the results of product moment correlation analysis calculations, it can be seen that: (1) there is a significant negative relationship between self-concept and bullying behavior as determined by the coefficient R = -0.392 (2) there is a significant negative relationship between parenting style and bullying behavior as determined by coefficient R = -0.834 (3) there is a significant negative relationship between self-concept and parenting patterns on bullying behavior at SMA X as shown by R-Square = 0.741 with a contribution of 74.1%. From the results of the research conductedthen it can be concluded that the proposed hypothesis is accepted.
