Abstract

Literasi merupakan suatu keahlian yang dimiliki seseorang pada bidang membaca dan menulis. Literasi memiliki peran dalam membentuk  karakter seorang siswa. Karakter adalah sesuatu yang secara intrinsik terkait dengan semua orang. Karakter seseorang tidak hadir dan lahir sejak lahir, tetapi dibentuk oleh sejumlah komponen  yaitu : faktor keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini yaitu untuk mengetahui peran budaya literasi untuk membentuk siswa yang berkarakter.  Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan bahwa, dalam membangun pendidikan karakter melalui pembudayaan literasi di sekolah seperti; (a) kegiatan mengunjungi perpustakaan, (b) membuat aturan wajib membaca 15 menit sebelum pelajaran dimulai, (c) membagikan lembar literasi bagi setiap siswa untuk merangkum bacaan yang telah dibaca. Dalam rangka membangun pendidikan karakter, maka budaya literasi sangat penting digerakkan di Sekolah. Melalui kegiatan literasi di sekolah tersebut, karakter yang akan dicapai peserta didik; (1) berakhlak mulia, (2) berpikir kritis, (3) kreatif, serta (4) integritas (tanggung jawab). Kesimpulannya dengan menerapkan budaya literasi di sekolah, maka didalam diri seorang siswa akan terbentuk karakter yang baik.

Abstract

This study analyses parent’s perceptions in choosing Public Primary School (SD Negeri) and Islamic Primary School (MI) in Bandung sub-district, Tulungagung district. The decrease in the number of students at SDN and an increase at Islamic Primary School in recent years indicates a shift in community interest in educational institutions managed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation using descriptive qualitative methods. The results show that parents at SDN 1 Bandung prioritize academic achievement at an affordable cost, while parents at MI Al Azhaar Bandung prioritize religious and moral education, despite the higher costs, which adequate school facilities and services offset. Factors such as teacher competence, teaching quality, facilities, curriculum, student achievement, school environment, and tuition fees are key determinants in parent’s decisions. This research highlights the importance of adapting educational approaches to community expectations and local needs and how these factors influence parent’s school choices.

Abstract

Di era pembelajaran modern, pendekatan tradisional dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dianggap kurang efektif dalam membangun pemahaman mendalam dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Model Learning Cycle 5E menjadi alternatif inovatif untuk menciptakan pembelajaran aktif dan reflektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji penerapannya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan materi PAI, khususnya tentang puasa. Model ini terdiri dari lima tahap yang melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan analisis literatur relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Model Learning Cycle 5E dapat meningkatkan partisipasi, kemampuan analitis, dan pemahaman materi PAI. Model ini juga membantu siswa mengaitkan ajaran Islam dengan kehidupan nyata dan memperkuat sikap spiritual. Namun, ada hambatan seperti keterbatasan waktu dan kesiapan guru. Dengan perencanaan yang baik, model ini bisa menciptakan suasana belajar yang dinamis dan bermakna, dan diharapkan menjadi acuan untuk strategi pembelajaran PAI yang lebih relevan dengan kebutuhan zaman.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) untuk beradaptasi dengan pemanfaatan Information and Communication Technology (ICT) dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun, integrasi ICT dalam pembelajaran PAI masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, baik dari segi kompetensi guru, fasilitas, maupun budaya penggunaan teknologi di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesiapan guru PAI dalam memanfaatkan ICT dengan menyoroti aspek kompetensi, tantangan, serta strategi solutif di era digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan menganalisis literatur terkait dari buku, jurnal, dan penelitian terdahulu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar guru PAI masih menghadapi kendala dalam penguasaan teknologi, rendahnya motivasi untuk beradaptasi dengan perkembangan ICT, serta keterbatasan fasilitas dan pelatihan. Selain itu, terdapat kesenjangan antara kebijakan digitalisasi pendidikan dan implementasi di lapangan. Kesimpulannya, peningkatan literasi digital, pelatihan berkelanjutan, dan dukungan institusi sangat diperlukan agar guru PAI mampu mengintegrasikan ICT secara optimal dalam pembelajaran, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan agama dan membentuk generasi yang berdaya saing di era digital.

On the other hand, it is important to recognize that excessive dependence on AI may potentially hinder human cognitive development. Therefore, a wise and cautious approach is necessary when utilizing AI. This research, through library research, aims to provide insights into ways to enhance the efficiency of Quranic learning by integrating AI into the learning process. The study considers the ethical and practical implications of using AI technology in religious education and evaluates its impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of Quranic learning. Additionally, this research identifies various opportunities and challenges in the utilization of AI. The findings indicate that integrating AI into Quranic learning not only improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the learning process but also opens up new opportunities. The results of this research are expected to encourage broader adoption of AI technology within the educational system, particularly in the context of religious education. By strengthening the understanding of how best to utilize AI technology in Quranic learning, it is hoped that more effective and holistic approaches can be developed. These approaches will combine the advantages of technology with the spiritual needs and meaningfulness inherent in learning the Quran.

Abstract

Management Information System (MIS) is a system created to provide relevant information for managers who want to make decisions. For example, there is an application called SIAGA (religious teacher information and administration system) which is one of the SIM components that is being used in the religious ministry of Kediri district. This research aims to understand how SIM-based applications have helped the Islamic Religious Education (PAIS) section at the Ministry of Religion of Kediri Regency improve its administrative services. The research approach used is qualitative. The methods used in this research include interviews, observation and documentation. The conclusions of this research clearly show that the SIAGA application has the potential to improve administrative services in the PAIS Section located in the Kediri Regency Ministry of Religion.

Abstract

The use of the Madrasah Management Information System (EMIS) has become an integral part of the data processing process at the Kediri Regency Ministry of Religion. This research aims to optimize the use of EMIS in managing madrasa data. The research method involved data analysis, interviews and surveys conducted at a number of madrasas in Kediri Regency. The results of observations found that the implementation of EMIS at the Ministry of Religion in Kediri Regency was not optimal. Madrasah data does not correspond to real conditions and madrasah operators have difficulty operating EMIS because operators do not know the scheme for using EMIS correctly. This research suggests that madrasas consider the importance of EMIS data and complete the data on time to avoid delays in data collection.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the process of internalizing the values of local wisdom contained in the traditional Grebeg Songo-Songo ceremony in Trenggalek Regency, particularly in the field of education. The primary focus of this research is (1) to trace the history and origins of Grebeg Songo-Songo as a tradition of the Trenggalek community, (2) to identify the local wisdom values embedded in this traditional ceremony, and (3) to analyze how these values are internalized into the educational sector in Trenggalek. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing in-depth interviews, observations, and literature studies to collect data. The findings reveal that Grebeg Songo-Songo has deep historical roots as a form of appreciation from the Sumurup village community toward Tumenggung Wiraguna of Mataram for his efforts to repel a plague or epidemic in the past. The ceremony also embodies local wisdom values such as mutual cooperation, education, solidarity, and respect for nature. The internalization of these values in education is achieved through their integration into extracurricular activity curricula and collaboration between schools and local communities. These findings provide new insights into the importance of preserving local traditions as part of character building for students and cultural conservation in the modern era.
