Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang keterampilan membaca pemahaman peserta didik yang belajar dengan metode speed reading di kelas V SDN 21 Limau Sundai. Dalam pembelajaran membaca masih terdapat keterampilan membaca pemahaman yang tergolong rendah. Berdasarkan penelitian relevan permasalahan tersebut dapat diatasi dengan perbaikan menggunakan penerapan metode speed reading. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan melihat perbedaan signifikan antara keterampilan membaca pemahaman peserta didik yang menggunakan metode speed reading dengan membaca nyaring. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji ―t‖ dengan pengolahan data menggunakan SPSS diperoleh signifikan α < 0,05 yaitu 0,005 ttabel yaitu 2,942 > 2,009, maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan membaca pemahaman peserta didik yang menggunakan metode speed reading dengan membaca nyaring dan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman. Dari hasil ini diharapkan pendidik dapat menggunakan metode speed reading sebagai alternatif metode pembelajaran membaca.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the utilization of video learning media in thematic books theme 1 subtheme 1 at the SD / MI level. This type of research uses library research. The research data sources are journals and thematic books on “Growth and Development of Living Things” Class III SD, and using books and journals relevant to this research. The data collection technique used is documentation. Then the data is processed through data collection, reduction, interpreting and analyzing the data. The results of this study reveal about the utilization of video learning media educators explain thematic learning material first, then learning activities are continued with educators inviting students to actively participate in learning through questions and answers related to thematic learning material, after which educators play video learning media. The learning media used must have their own advantages and disadvantages, as well as video media. In viewing the video cannot stand alone, this video media requires supporting tools such as LCD to project images and active speakers to display sound to be heard clearly.

Abstract

Abstract The research was motivated by the results of the writing skills at SDN Solok Regency are still low, found from 27 students as many as 8 students with a percentage of 29.63% reached the KKM and as many as 19 students with a percentage of 70.37% did not reach the KKM. This low skill is caused by educators not providing enough writing training, especially writing narrative essays. The purpose of this study was to improve students' narrative essay writing skills. This research is a field research with the type of research Pre-Experimental Design form One-Group Pretest-Posttest. The data collection techniques and instruments used were tests, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the post-test score was greater than the pre-test score (79 > 49), obtained t_hitung 26.446 > t_table 2.0555 and Sig. 0.001 < 0.05. This shows that the proposed hypothesis is accepted. It can be concluded that by applying the Concept Sentence type cooperative learning model with the help of serial images can improve the narrative essay writing skills of fourth grade students of SDN Solok Regency.Keywords: Concept Sentence Model, Narrative Writing

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik sangat dibutuhkan di era perkembangan pengetahuan dan teknologi saat ini. Peserta didik dapat dikatakankakan berpikir tingkat tinggi ketika mereka mampu menyelesaikan soal yang disajikan pendidik dan juga mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadadapi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dengan melibatkan proses berpikir secara kritis. Kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi terdiri dari indikator menganalisis, memancarkan dan mencipta. Upaya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut salah satunya melalui pengggunaan wordwall. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat bagaimana penggunaan wordwall untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan melalui wawancara dengan 6 orang responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis interaktif diantaranya: reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan wordwall dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di madrasah ibtidaiyah yang terletak di kecamatan Ngaglik, kabupaten Sleman Yogyakarta. Implikasi penelitian ini terhadap lembaga pendidikan sekolah dasar atau madrasah ibtidaiyah agar ikut menggunakan wordwall untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Wordwall, Kemampuan Berpikir Tingat Tinggi, Bahasa Indonesia

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi permasalahan kemampuan membaca pemhaman yang dimiliki peserta didik belum sepenuhnya bisa memahami isi bacaan dengan benar. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang masih berfokus pada guru berdampak pada cara membaca peserta didik yang belum tepat. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan ialah melalui penggunaan metode OK5R dalam proses pembelajaran membaca. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana peningkatan dan perbedaan kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik antara menggunakan metode OK5R dengan metode ceramah . Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian eksperimen jenis quasi eksperimen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan keseluruhan populasi berjumlah 34 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada kelas yang menerapkan metode OK5R yang dilihat dari rata-rata nilai pre test 56,60 menjadi 82,80. Kemudian juga terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kemampuan membaca pemahaman kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol melalui hasil analisis uji SPSS nilai  sig α (0,00) 0,05 hal ini berarti terdapat perbedaan kemampuan membaca pemahaman antara yang menggunakan metode OK5R dengan menggunakan metode ceramah.

Abstract

Teachers’ strategies in developing High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based instruments are essential in responding to the advancement of knowledge and in producing highly competent students. This study aims to describe teachers’ strategies in developing HOTS-based assessment instruments in Indonesian language subjects. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews with three (3) participants. Data analysis was conducted in three (3) stages: data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that teachers' strategies in developing HOTS-based questions include: 1) analyzing the core competencies (KD), 2) determining the learning objectives to be achieved, 3) designing the test blueprint by identifying the HOTS-related KD, formulating achievement indicators, selecting appropriate materials, formulating item indicators, determining the HOTS cognitive level based on Bloom’s taxonomy, and developing multiple-choice or essay questions, 4) choosing contextual stimuli to introduce the questions, 5) writing items based on the blueprint, 6) preparing answer keys, and 7) analyzing validity, reliability, difficulty level, and item discrimination. The implications of the study suggest that it can serve as a reference for teachers in designing HOTS-based assessment instruments.

Abstract

Pentingnya integrasi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Ilmu islam dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik, terutama di era globalisasi dan kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan yang pesat. Secara keseluruhan pendidikan ilmu islam dn pancasila berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik yang tidak hanya cerdas secara akademi, tetapi juga memiliki integritas, moralitas dan kesadaran sosial yang tinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sumatera Barat pada semester gasal tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus untuk mendapatkan pemahaman mendalam mengenai fenomena yang diteliti. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan pendidik, orang tua dan peserta didik. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan langkah-langkah; pengumpulan data, teknik kondensasi data, tampilan data, dan verifikasi kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implikasi integrasi pendidikan pancasila dan ilmu islam berkontribusi signifikan dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik, seperti meningkatkan religiusitas, kejujuran, kedisiplinan, rasa tanggung jawab, kerja sama, rasa kemanusiaan, toleransi, percaya diri dan cinta tanah air. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan yang terintegrasi dapat menciptakan individu yang tidak hanya memahami nilai-nilai Pancasila, tetapi juga mengamalkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, sehingga memperkuat identitas dan moralitas peserta didik di tengah tantangan globalisasi.The importance of the integration of Pancasila education and islamic science in shaping the character of students, especially in the era of globalization and rapid scientific advances. Overall, Pancasila education and islamic science play an important role in shaping the character of students who are not only academically intelligent, but also have integrity, morality and high social awareness. This research was conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah West Sumatra in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 school year. The approach used was qualitative with a case study method to gain an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon under study. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews with educators, parents and students. The collected data were analyzed by steps; data collection, data condensation techniques, data display, and conclusion verification. The results showed that the implications of the integration of Pancasila education and islamic science contributed significantly in shaping the character of students, such as increasing religiosity, honesty, discipline, sense of responsibility, cooperation, sense of humanity, tolerance, self-confidence and love for the country. The implication of this research shows that integrated education can create individuals who not only understand the values of Pancasila, but also practice them in everyday life, thus strengthening the identity and morality of learners amid the challenges of globalization.

Abstract

This study stems from the problem of low student engagement in the mathematics learning process, which is often considered a difficult subject due to the infrequent use of interesting and supportive learning media by educators. In general, educators only rely on images found in textbooks or drawn on the blackboard, which has an impact on students' low understanding of concepts in the learning process. To address this issue, this study aims to examine the extent to which the use of the ROTAR (rotating wheel) learning media for flat shapes affects the improvement of concept understanding among phase B students at SD Islam Khaira Ummah. This study employs a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method and a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this study was determined using cluster random sampling, involving two classes: class IVB as the experimental group using the rotar media, and class IVC as the control group using conventional learning media. Data analysis results showed a significant increase in conceptual understanding in the experimental group, with an average increase of 32.64 points, higher than the control group, which only experienced an increase of 20.30 points. The t-test results showed a significant value (one-tailed) of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating that the use of rotar media significantly influences the improvement of students' mathematical concept understanding. This finding recommends that educators utilize varied learning media to create a more engaging and meaningful learning environment.

Abstract

The philosophy of realism in education emphasizes direct experience and observation of concrete phenomena as the foundation of knowledge. This principle aligns closely with Project-based Learning (PjBL), which engages students in authentic tasks to solve real-world problems. This study analyzes the application of PjBL in grade 5 Natural Science learning at a Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Yogyakarta and identifies factors influencing its implementation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, which includes observation, interviews, and documentation, the findings reveal that PjBL reflects the principles of realism, as students construct knowledge through active participation and direct interaction with real phenomena. Teachers implemented PjBL through six stages, culminating in a project to create a simple lung model. This activity enabled students to understand the respiratory system through empirical observation, rather than memorization, by examining their breathing patterns before and after engaging in physical activity. PjBL enhanced conceptual understanding, practical skills, critical thinking, and creativity. High student engagement, teacher creativity, and institutional support facilitated implementation, while time limitations, scarce resources, and limited teacher knowledge presented challenges.
