Abstract

One of the important stages in learning is evaluation. From the evaluation carried out, information will be obtained regarding the learning development of students which will be used in making decisions. The success of the learning process and student learning outcomes will also be known through evaluation. In learning Indonesian, a learner will proceed to acquire diverse knowledge and learning experiences. One of the basic competencies that must be mastered by class XII in the 2013 curriculum is that students are able to analyze the structure and language rules of article texts. One of the evaluation tools that can be used in the Quizizz application. The Quizizz application is in the form of online lectures that students can access via the web which can show statistical data on student performance. The results of these data can help educators and students in evaluating learning. The application of the Quizizz application can be an option in carrying out evaluation activities for learning article text in class XII IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Semarang. Quiziz is a tool for obtaining data related to student learning processes and outcomes. This study aims to describe the application of the Quizizz application as a learning evaluation tool for class XII article texts at SMA Negeri 1 Semarang. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results obtained from this study are the use of Quiziz as an evaluation tool in learning article texts in class XII which is suitable to be applied because apart from being easy to access and attracting the attention of students in working on questions, educators can also carry out assessments or evaluations more quickly because they have been automatically provided by the system.

Abstract

This article discusses the "Empowering Pioneer Teachers" program implemented at Public Elementary School 3 Sadeng, aiming to enhance the quality of education and nurture holistic student development. The program is rooted in education that embraces diversity and adapts to changing times. Pioneer teachers are selected based on their enthusiasm, dedication, adaptability, in addition to academic qualifications. The article reviews the stages of selection, intensive training, and program implementation within classrooms. The program emphasizes the development of interpersonal competencies and innovation in teaching methodologies. Support from the school, parents, and local community plays a crucial role in the program's success. Its impact is evident in improved student learning outcomes, social skills, creativity, and the cultivation of an inclusive and collaborative learning environment. Through this article, it is hoped that the experience of Public Elementary School 3 Sadeng can inspire other educational institutions. Empowering pioneer teachers yields positive effects throughout the school community and has the potential to guide elementary education towards a brighter and more equitable future.

Abstract

Language is a communication tool used to express an idea or emotion. In linguistics, language is comprehensively explored with the aim of developing understanding and is also used for research. In analyzing the meaning of language, a pragmatic understanding is required. Pragmatics is a linguistic field that examines the interplay between the function and form of speech acts. This research primarily focuses on the analysis of expressive and directive speech acts. Expressive speech acts involve utterances that convey the feelings or thoughts experienced by the speaker. On the other hand, directive speech acts involve utterances intended to encourage or trigger action from the listener. This research aims to obtain, examine, and discuss a variety of speech acts found in educational science-themed videos on the YouTube channel "Kok Bisa?". This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a theoretical approach, namely a pragmatic approach. The data used consists of a number of utterances in the videos. The data collection technique used is observation and note-taking. Data analysis is carried out using distributional and correlational techniques. Data presentation is done formally and informally. The potential value of this study lies in its capacity to offer insights to the author and researchers concerning expressive and directive speech acts found in utterances. The practical benefits of this research will be obtained by those in the field of science, educators, learners, and language researchers as a basis, reference, and teaching material concerning expressive and directive speech acts found within utterances. In the science videos on the "Kok Bisa?" YouTube channel, 26 expressive speech acts and 36 directive speech acts were identified from nine selected videos. This analysis reveals that directive speech acts in the form of questioning dominate these videos, enabling two-way interaction through viewer comments.

Abstract

Changing curricula and the rapid development of technology make educators and students have to be able to technology as a medium in learning. The use of technology in education needs to be done to increase student activity so that student learning outcomes increase. The purpose of this research is to increase student acticity, critical thingking, creativity, collaboration, so that learning using the media padlet can run smoothly and optimally. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative through data triangulation, namely observation, documentation, and questionnaire distribution. The results of this study, namely grade 12 students at SMA Negeri 9 Semarang can increase their learning activity throught the padlet media and increase student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Pragmatics is a branch of linguistics that studies the intent of speech. The material of this research is directive speech acts. Directive speech act is one type of speech act used by speakers to tell others to do certain actions. This research analyzes the directive speech acts in the Science Around Us learning video on the Pahamify YouTube Channel. The approach used to examine this research is using theoretical and methodological approaches. The theoretical approach used is a pragmatic approach while the methodological approach used is a qualitative descriptive approach. This research method uses a pragmatic and descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection in this analysis is through listening and note-taking techniques, and using the derivative technique of simak bebas libat cakap. Then, the data analysis technique uses the commensurate technique. And using formal and informal data presentation techniques. The results show that there are various types of directive speech acts used by speakers, such as asking, commanding, ordering, inviting, asking, pleading, suggesting and forcing. The act of asking dominates, showing the speaker's effort to actively involve the audience. The findings indicate that directive speech acts play an important role in creating effective interaction in science learning through video media. This research contributes to a better understanding of more in-depth about language use in the context of online learning.
