Abstract

SMA Negeri 13 Makassar is one of the schools in Makassar that still uses manual information systems. For example school announcements or registration are still done manually, via notice boards. This has an impact on financing that is expensive, less effective and uneconomical. This service activity aims to implement a school profile information system at SMA Negeri 13 Makassar so that later it can be used as a support for disseminating information related to SMA Negeri 13 Makassar. This system is expected to make it easier for the school to provide school information, both school announcements and information that can be accessed by the general public. Abstrak SMA Negeri 13 Makassar merupakan salah satu sekolah di Makassar yang masih menggunakan sistem informasi secara manual. Misalnya pengumuman sekolah ataupun pendaftaran masih dilakukan secara manual, lewat papan pengumuman. Hal ini berdampak terhadap pada pembiayaan yang mahal, kurang efektif dan tidak ekonomis. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan sebuah sistem informasi profil sekolah pada SMA Negeri 13 Makassar sehingga nantinya dapat digunakan sebagai pendukung untuk menyebarluaskan informasi tekait dengan sekolah SMA Negeri 13 Makassar Sistem ini diharapkan agar mempermudah pihak sekolah dalam memberikan informasi sekolah baik pengumuman sekolah maupun informasi yang dapat diakses masyarakat umum.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has significantly influenced the transformation of administrative processes in the education sector. At MA Al-Aqsha Massaile, the student admission process had previously been conducted manually, leading to data management inefficiencies, extended queues, and delays in selection result announcements. This study aims to design and implement a web-based student admission information system to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and user satisfaction. The research adopted a qualitative and system development approach, involving interviews with school administrators to identify workflow challenges, followed by system development using the waterfall model. System testing and evaluation were conducted through user trials involving 30 respondents, including prospective students, parents, and school staff. The results indicate that 93.3% of users rated the system as "very effective" in simplifying the registration process, while 90% found the user interface intuitive and easy to navigate. Furthermore, 86.7% of respondents agreed that the system reduced errors in data input and improved the overall registration experience. These findings confirm that the web-based system significantly improves administrative efficiency and user experience in student admissions. Future recommendations include integrating the system with academic databases and implementing mobile-friendly features to support wider accessibility.

Abstract

The process of making student cards at SMA Mahaputra Tello Makassar is currently still using third party services in this case printing. In the process, the TU staff provides data to the printer and then waits for a month for the printing process. This is very ineffective because of the long build time. This Community Service aims to provide training for the staff of SMA Maha Putra Tello Makassar so that they can make desktop-based student cards. Later it helps facilitate staff in making student cards. The application of desktop-based student card making applications at SMA Maha Putra Tello Makassar is very much needed and can help the work of TU staff in making student cards and provide benefits to the school in this case reducing the cost of making student cards.
