Abstract

The advancement of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has significantly transformed traditional home security systems. This research focuses on the design and implementation of a smart door utilizing the ESP32-WROVER microcontroller and Blynk application. The system integrates various components, including a camera (ESP32-CAM), solenoid lock, motion detection sensor, and LCD, to provide a real-time notification and interactive user experience. The smart door enables homeowners to monitor visitors remotely, send custom messages via LCD, and control door locks using their smartphone. Key innovations include the addition of motion sensors for real-time surveillance and enhanced security and the use of LCD to communicate with visitors effectively. The proposed system aims to address limitations in conventional and earlier smart door designs, such as distinguishing between real visitors and objects and providing a comprehensive security solution. The system’s performance was tested using a prototype, demonstrating its ability to improve home security by adjusting and responding to visitor activities effectively. The results show that the smart door provides an integrated ecosystem suitable for modern households, ensuring better safety and convenience. This study, titled “Design of an IoT-Based Smart Door Using ESP32-WROVER with Notification System via Blynk Application”, highlights the application of IoT and automation in creating a more efficient and user-friendly security system.

Abstract

Housewives are responsible for managing kitchen needs, regularly shopping for vegetables to meet daily food ingredient requirements. Vegetable shops run by the community serve as one of the alternatives for housewives to buy vegetables. However, they often face difficulties in obtaining information about the availability of vegetable products in stores or shops, as well as price information. This study aims to design and develop an e-vegetables application. The application helps buyers access store information and place orders online, while also enabling sellers to reach a wider consumer base. The method used in this study is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which involves stages such as requirement planning, system design, development, and implementation. The application is designed using UML (Unified Modeling Language) for diagram modeling and Figma for user interface design. It is built in Android operating system using Flutter for the frontend, Node.js for the backend, and MongoDB as the database. The results of this study show that the e-vegetables application facilitates buyers in obtaining vegetable information and placing orders efficiently.

Abstract

Wide Area Network reliability is crucial in supporting academic and administrative activities in higher education institutions. This study aims to evaluate the reliability of the WAN network at the Faculty of Information Technology, UKSW, using response time and Downtime as the main indicators. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach by utilizing PRTG Network Monitor, Ping, and Zabbix to measure network performance. The results showed that the average response time was 104.31 ms, with a maximum response time of 614.0 ms. The total Downtime recorded was 22 hours and 42 minutes, with a network uptime percentage of 80.16%. These findings indicate that while the network remains operational, optimization is needed to reduce latency fluctuations and minimize Downtime. Recommendations include enhancing network infrastructure and implementing proactive monitoring strategies.

Abstract

Business development in Batam City is rapidly increasing, creating intense competition among companies. In this context, it is crucial for companies to implement effective marketing strategies to attract consumers. This study aims to examine the purchasing decision model of EcoKing products by considering three independent variables: brand image, promotion, and electronic word of mouth (E-WOM). The research method used is quantitative with hypothesis testing. Data was obtained through questionnaires distributed to 204 respondents who are consumers of EcoKing products. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression, including validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, influence tests, and hypothesis testing. The results show that brand image, promotion, and E-WOM, both partially and simultaneously, have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for EcoKing products in Batam City.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of trust and customer experience on customer loyalty in freight services, with a case study at PT. Truk Toto. Since the population size is unknown, the sample was determined using Hair’s formula, involving 120 respondents selected through direct questionnaire distribution. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to assess both partial and simultaneous effects. The results show that trust and customer experience have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, as proven by t-tests and F-tests with significance values below 0.05. Among the two variables, customer experience has a greater influence on loyalty. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.717, indicating that 71.7% of the variation in customer loyalty is explained by trust and customer experience. These findings suggest that trust and experience are key factors in building long-term loyalty in the logistics sector. PT. Truk Toto is advised to continuously improve the quality of customer experience and maintain customer trust to enhance retention and strengthen competitive advantage.

Abstract

Suatu bangunan memerlukan air setiap hari untuk memenuhi kebutuhan penghuninya. Di tengah masalah kekurangan air, salah satu solusi yang ada adalah pemanfaatan air yang didaur ulang oleh instalasi pengolahan air limbah (IPAL). Artikel ini mempelajari seberapa optimal air olahan IPAL dapat digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air sehari-hari pada suatu universitas. Penelitian dilakukan di suatu universitas di DKI Jakarta, Indonesia. Data yang dipakai adalah ketersediaan air dari IPAL dan kebutuhan air total dari PDAM. Data kebutuhan air dipecah berdasarkan tipe penggunaan yaitu untuk penghuni (toilet dan non-toilet), penyiraman tanaman, kebersihan bangunan, dan kolam. Hasil penyelidikan memperkirakan, bila air daur ulang IPAL akan dimanfaatkan, hanya 28,20 % yang bisa dipakai sedangkanya sisa 71,80 % harus dibuang. Ini tidak ideal karena sebaiknya air daur ulang mampu dimanfaatkan semaksimal mungkin untuk mengurangi pemakaian sumber daya air yang makin terbatas. Ada berbagai faktor penyebab yaitu persepsi publik yang buruk mengenai air daur ulang IPAL, mutu air yang tidak memenuhi persyaratan, dan jaringan pipa eksisting yang mencampur sistem pembilasan toilet dengan air bersih lainnya.

Abstract

Fever is a condition where the body temperature rises above normal levels, often caused by an infection. Non-medical management of fever can be done by using cold or warm compresses. Warm compresses are more effective but require a complex and repetitive process. This study is the design of a Digital Fever Compress Device using warm temperature based on Arduino Uno. The Digital Fever Compress Device is designed for non-medical fever management. The Digital Fever Compress Device is equipped with a DS18B20 sensor, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), Relay, cartridge heater as a heating element, three pushbuttons, XL4005 stepdown module, and one On-Off switch. The Digital Fever Compress Device can produce warm temperatures and adjust them according to the user's preferences with a minimum limit of 37.5°C and a maximum of 42°C with a timer for 20 minutes. Environmental temperature affects the temperature setting processing carried out by the microcontroller. Based on the tests conducted in an air-conditioned room, the average time from the initial temperature to the setpoint is 6 minutes and 15 seconds, and the temperature increase from the setpoint ranges from 45.6°C or 15.079%. Meanwhile, testing in a non-air-conditioned room, the average time from the initial temperature to the setpoint is 2 minutes and 26 seconds, and the temperature increase from the setpoint ranges from 44.64°C or 12.37%.

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have an important contribution to the Indonesian economy, as well as to generate jobs. The performance of an entity can be reviewed by their financial statements. Moreover, this financial statement can also be used as the basis of decision making. This research provides the perspective of small and medium enterprises owners from the commercial sector about financial statements. The research method used was qualitative descriptive with resource persons from three successful entrepreneurs in Salatiga. This research finds that financial statements have an important contribution to small and medium enterprises' continuity. Financial statements have a lot of usabilities related to a short-term and long-term plan. Size of company, level of education, and easiness are not the main reason that affects the decision of financial statement-making but have an impact on that. Financial statements made by small and medium enterprises indirectly have applied SAK-EMKM in their making process. The main reason for making a financial statement is because it is used to fulfill the needs of information for decision making.

Abstract

The Faculty of Economics and Business team held community service activities carried out by the team in the Odd semester 2024/2025 focusing on financial reporting problems faced by MGG. Partners' financial reports are not integrated between divisions and between years, so manual corrections are often made. The aim of the PKM activity is to provide assistance in initial trial balance data reconciliation and initial trial balance input and export training in accounting software for employees in accordance with the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK). Based on the problems and situation analysis, an integrated computerized accounting system is needed. well and TB data for July 2024 with ending June 2024, and Partners also need Initial Trial Balance input and export training in Accounting Software. PKM activities aim to provide assistance in reconciling Initial Trial Balanced data and provide training for partner employees regarding the input and export process on Initial Trial Balance data in accounting software. Community service activities have the aim that after the training process, input process, data export process from manual (Excel) to accounting software, the Accounting department can create financial reports according to (PSAK) accurately and data integrity can be fulfilled. The discussion of PKM Reconciliation Assistance has two sessions, the first session: Assistance for Reconciling Initial Trial Balance Data, and the second session discusses how to train in inputting data for July and exporting Initial Trial Balance data for June 2024, in Accounting Software. The result of the PKM method is financial statement meet deadline and accuratel, with support from PKM activities, increasing efficiency in accounting system-based data processing. ABSTRAK Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat pada semester ganjil 2024/2025 yang dilakukan tim Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Tarumanagara berfokus pada masalah pelaporan keuangan yang dihadapi MGG. Laporan keuangan mitra tidak terintegrasi antardivisi dan antartahun sehingga sering dilakukan koreksi manual. Adapun tujuan kegiatan PKM adalah untuk memberikan bantuan rekonsilisi data trial balance awal dan pelatihan input dan export trial balance awal di software akuntansi bagi karyawan mengikuti Pernyataan Standar Akuntansi Keuangan (PSAK), Dari permasalahan dan analisis situasi, mitra memerlukan sistem akuntansi yang terintegrasi dan data TB Juli 2024 dengan ending Juni 2024, dan mitra juga memerlukan pelatihan input dan export trial balance awal di software akuntansi. Kegiatan PKM bertujuan untuk memberikan bantuan dalam rekonsiliasi data balanced trial awal dan memberikan training bagi karyawan mitra tentang proses penginputan dan export atas data trial balance awal di software akuntansi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat mempunyai tujuan yaitu setelah proses pelatihan, proses input, proses ekspor data dari manual (excel) ke software akuntansi, maka bagian akuntansi bisa membuat laporan keuangan sesuai PSAK secara akurat dan integritas data dapat terpenuhi. Pembahasan PKM bantuan rekonsiliasi dibagi menjadi dua sesi: sesi pertama membahas bantuan rekonsiliasi data trial balance awal, dan sesi kedua membahas bagaimana pelatihan input data bulan Juli dan export trial balance awal data bulan juni 2024, di software akuntansi. Hasil dari metode PKM adalah upaya untuk bekerja memenuhi tenggat waktu dan akurat, dengan support dari kegiatan PKM meningkatkan efisiensi dalam proses pengolahan data berbasis sistem akuntansi.
