Abstract

Numeracy problems at SD Negeri 4 Penarukan, Buleleng have decreased in geometry material. The results of ANBK that have been carried out show that numeracy literacy in several indicators such as basic concepts related to geometry and statistics, and solving simple routine math problems has decreased. This study aims to describe the results of a study of learning strategies with an Ethnomathematics approach to improve numeracy literacy in geometry material. The method used in this research is qualitative library research and field study by collecting several relevant articles that discuss the use of the Ethnomathematics approach in the learning process and adjusted to the results of literacy and numeracy of teachers in the field. The results of this study are in the form of a review of five relevant studies related to the ethnomathematics approach to improve numeracy literacy in geometry material and student numeracy literacy. The use of this Ethnomathematics approach should be a solution for schools to improve student learning outcomes and numeracy literacy skills.

Abstract

This study explores effective strategies in developing literacy and numeracy of grade V elementary school students in Indonesia. The research method uses a literature study that analyzes various articles, books, and reports related to government policies on strengthening literacy and numeracy. The data sources in this study come from scientific journals, reference books, research reports, and relevant government policy documents. The data collection technique involves searching literature through academic databases, digital libraries, and official government websites. Data analysis is carried out using the content analysis method, where the collected data is categorized and evaluated to identify key themes and effective strategies. The results showed that project-based teaching methods, thematic learning, and the use of educational technology can significantly improve students' literacy skills. In addition, problem-based learning methods, contextual learning, and the use of educational games and manipulative aids are effective in increasing student numeracy. Teacher training and professional development as well as government policy support such as the National Literacy Movement, School Literacy Movement, Minimum Competency Assessment, and Merdeka Belajar curriculum also play an important role in the success of these strategies. The excellence of this article lies in the comprehensive analysis and integration of various innovative teaching strategies, as well as the emphasis on ongoing policy support. In conclusion, continuous support from various parties is needed to ensure the improvement of the quality of student literacy and numeracy education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to increase the reading literacy of elementary school students by providing a reading corner in the classroom at SD Negeri 1 Banjar Tegal, Buleleng. Using qualitative research methods, data was collected from primary and secondary data sources. Primary data sources include direct classroom observations and in-depth interviews with teachers and students, while secondary data sources are obtained from analysis of documents related to literacy programs and school policies. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and document study. Data analysis was carried out using a qualitative descriptive approach, through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results showed that providing a reading corner equipped with varied and interesting books significantly increased students' interest and reading ability. Teachers who actively direct and motivate students to use the reading corner also make a positive contribution. The conclusion of this research is that reading corners are effective in creating a supportive reading environment, and collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents is critical to the success of this program. These findings can be a reference for other schools in implementing similar strategies to improve students' reading literacy.

Abstract

This Study was promted by concerns about the decline in reading interest among primary school students, which could potentially affect their literacy skills. This study aims to explore the impact of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) on the increase in reading interest of elementary school students and to evaluate the effectiveness of GLS as a solution in stimulating students' interest in reading. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through direct observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students. There was an overall increase in reading interest among elementary school students after they were actively involved in school literacy movement activities. The results of this study highlight the importance of a contextual and experiential approach in improving literacy, as well as the crucial role of the researcher's deep understanding of the research subject in generating meaningful insights.

Abstract

The urgency of this study is to determine the benefits of learning consulting services in improving students' literacy at SD Negeri 4 Patas, Buleleng Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. This research will combine two qualitative research traditions, namely phenomenology and instrumental case studies. In this study, inductive data analysis is carried out through data collection, data analysis, reduction, presenting data that has been sorted, and drawing conclusions or verifying findings. Research data sources involve primary data sources, consisting of school principals, teachers, students, and other parties related to the problem being researched. The results of the study showed that literacy skills were low at SD Negeri 4 Patas, with only 34% of students reaching the KKM standard. The causes include low interest in reading, limited reading media, and reading difficulties. The proposed solution is the "Learning Consultation" (KOBE) service to improve student learning outcomes so that it is able to achieve the minimum completeness criteria (KKM).
