Abstract

Leadership character is an important aspect of student self-development that needs to be considered in the education system. One of the parties who has a crucial role in forming this character is the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teacher. Through various religious activities at school, PAI teachers can instill strong leadership values in students. This research discusses the contribution of PAI teachers in developing student leadership character through religious activities at Al-Hikmah Balongrejo Badas Sumobito Middle School, Jombang. The focus of the research is: 1) What is the Leadership Character of students at Al-Hikmah Balongrejo Middle School?, 2) What are the Forms of Religious Activities at Al-Hikmah Balongrejo Middle School?, 3) What is the contribution of PAI Teachers in cultivating students' Leadership Character through religious activities at Al SMP -The lesson of Balongrejo?. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation methods. The informants for this research consisted of the School Principal, PAI Teachers, and students. Data collected from observations and interviews were analyzed using data validity checking techniques through the source triangulation method. The research results show that: 1) Research shows that the leadership character of students at Al-Hikmah Balongrejo Middle School is good and will continue to be developed. 2) Forms of religious activities at Al-Hikmah Balongrejo Middle School such as congregational prayers, reading Yasin letters, istighosah. 3) The contribution of PAI teachers at Al-Hikmah Balongrejo Middle School in cultivating students' leadership character through religious activities and the application of Islamic values, so that students are ready to lead with noble morals.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Al-Miftah Lil Ulum method in improving the ability to read classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning), specifically Fathul Qorib, at Pondok Pesantren Al-Hayyat, North Kalimantan. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the Al-Miftah Lil Ulum method—focusing on mastery of Arabic grammar (nahwu and shorof) as the foundation for understanding Arabic texts—is systematically applied by instructors during kitab kuning learning sessions. The application of this method significantly enhances students’ comprehension of sentence structures, vocabulary meanings, and legal contexts in Fathul Qorib. Supporting factors include teacher consistency, a gradual learning approach, and practical translation exercises (both manthuq and mafhum). In conclusion, the Al-Miftah Lil Ulum method proves effective in improving students’ reading and understanding of classical Islamic texts.

Abstract

Fenomena degradasi moral pada generasi muda menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter tidak cukup dibangun melalui penguatan aspek kognitif semata, tetapi membutuhkan internalisasi nilai-nilai spiritual dan pengelolaan emosi yang berakar pada ajaran Al-Qur’an. Dalam menghadapi krisis akhlak dan tantangan sosial yang semakin kompleks, nilai-nilai Qur’ani dalam Surah Luqman ayat 12–19 memberikan pedoman mendasar bagi pembentukan manusia berkarakter Islami melalui keseimbangan kecerdasan spiritual dan emosional. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan kandungan nilai-nilai tersebut serta menganalisis kontribusinya terhadap pendidikan karakter Islami kontemporer. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan melalui analisis teks Al-Qur’an, tafsir klasik dan modern, serta literatur ilmiah relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa ayat-ayat ini memuat nilai syukur, tauhid, penghormatan kepada orang tua, pengendalian diri, kesabaran, kesantunan, dan kerendahan hati yang saling terintegrasi membentuk kerangka moral Islami yang komprehensif. Penelitian ini berimplikasi pada urgensi integrasi kecerdasan spiritual dan emosional berbasis nilai Qur’ani sebagai model strategis pengembangan pendidikan karakter yang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan moral dan sosial era modern

Abstract

This study will discuss the characteristics of the Khulafa Ar-Rasyidin leadership including Abu Bakar As-Shidiq, Umar Bin Khattab, Utsman Bin Affan, and Ali Bin Abi Thalib. The researcher used qualitative research, library research. The researcher used the documentation to collect the data. The results of this study are 1) Characteristics of Abu Bakar’s leadership expanding area to several regions in order to Islamic region wider and it could obtain the protection from several regions. The important even of Abu Bakar‘s leadership is collecting Al Qur’an sentences (ayat which are stated in some different region), it is because many memorized-Qur’an people had been killed on the battlefield. Moreover, it is feared that all the memorizer will be killed, 2) Characteristics of Umar Bin Khattab’s leadership, He always prioritized deliberations in making decision-based on Rasulullah’s track and he never put himself as the ruler, 3) Characteristics of Utsman Bin Affan’s leadership are, he created marine which was motivated by attacks from the Roman army whichfinally could be defeated. In this era, the expansion of Islamic territory was also widespread increasingly by using the same system of government as the Umar’s system in developing natural resources, 4) Characteristics of Ali Bin Abi Thalib’ s leadership, He revived Abu Bakr and Umar’s aspiration to return back all the land and grants that had been distributed by Utsman to his relatives into the government’s ownership. Ali also brought down immediately all governors who were not disliked by the people who were considered as the source of slander and also as the cause of the rise of the rebels who against Utsman.

Abstract

Prophet Muhammad is a person whose entire aspects of life become role models for all mankind on earth, except for certain things that do apply specifically to him. The recording of the personality of the Prophet Muhammad that we inherited and preserved for his authenticity namely the Hadith is the most authoritative book to study his personality. From here we can trace how the method that was practiced by the Prophet Muhammad when teaching his friends. Instead the theory of education and teaching that is learned and applied in Indonesia is more likely to be adopted from theWest, due to victory in the second world war. Though the theory of education at that time only focused on meeting industrial and military needs. A method in the teaching process is very vital because it determines the level of effectiveness and efficiency of success in teaching itself. A teacher or educator is required to be careful in choosing methods so that success in teaching can be maximized. This paper seeks to reveal that the Demonstration method is a method often used by the Prophet Muhammad in his teaching. Because he had died, the source of the research data wascarried out through hadiths whose authenticity and validity had been selected by the hadith scholars.

Abstract

Shadaqah is a treasure that is expended by expecting a reward from Allah SWT and also one of the worship of Ghoiru Mahdho which aims to form empathy forstudents. Although basically the spirit of empathy in students has been planted from birth, with the development of growth and the factors that influence students, it is necessary to sharpen continuously so that empathy for children is always there for him, among these efforts, of them with shadaqah activities applied theoretically and practically. The focus of the problem in this study is 1. How is the Implementation of Shadaqah Activities in Forming Student Empathy at Tembelang 1 Public Middle School? 2. What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing shadaqah activities informing student empathy at Tembelang 1 Public Middle School? Research in this paper uses a type of qualitative field research, while the approach used in this study is a case study approach, data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show: 1. The implementation of shadaqah activities informing student empathy found at Tembelang 1 Junior High School must be carried out 3 times a week. Through this activity that is carried out routinely, the effort of the teacher in approaching students by giving them examples is indirectly the teacher instils empathy in students. So that students become accustomed to charity, in addition, students will become more sensitive to the state of the environment. 2. Supporting factors of shadaqah activities informing student empathy are motivation and cooperation and commitment from the teacher's mother, headmaster, students, guardians of students and all school members as well as motivation from outside the school. The inhibiting factors are the lack of self-awareness of some students and the large number of time-consuming school activities that hinder charity activities

Abstract

Character building has become a national issue because many children of the nation show signs of moral degradation; hence, character education is considered to be very instrumental in resolving this nation’s problems. The book Adab al-‘Alim Wa al-Muta‘allim by KH. Hasyim Asy’ari in which the typical values of pesantren are embedded which can help shape the good character of the child. The questions that want to answer through this research are: How to plant pesantren values in the formation of children’s character in the Adab al-‘Alim Wa al-Muta‘allim? This study uses a type of library research. The approach used in this study is a descriptive analysis approach. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the values of the pesantren in the Adab al-‘Alim Wa al-Muta‘allim were: student ethics towards themselves, to teachers, and their lessons. As for character building in the book, students have a sense of responsibility, discipline, perseverance, honesty, independence, hard work, respect, curiosity, willingness to sacrifice, and never give up. This research is expected to be useful for students to have noble character and for teachers to be able to teach and facilitate children to have good character.

Abstract

Di era modern ini, masih banyak siswa yang kurang memiliki rasa empati terhadap sesama manusia. Nilai akidah, nilai ibadah, dan nilai akhlak dari pendidikan Islam bisa bisa menjadi landasan dalam membentuk sikap sosial siswa. MAN 4 Jombang merupakan sekolah menengah atas berbasis keagamaan yang memberikan pengajaran melalui ekstrakurikuler salah satunya yaitu PMR. Fokus pada penelitian ini adalah:1) Bagaimana internalisasi nilai-nilai PAI dalam pembentukan sikap sosial di MAN 4 Jombang? 2) Bagaimana internalisasi nilai-nilai PAI dalam pembentukan sikap sosial siswa melalui program ekstrakurikuler palang merah remaja PMR di MAN 4 Jombang? 3) Apa faktor pendukung dan penghambat internalisasi nilai-nilai PAI dalam pembentukan sikap sosial siswa melalui program ekstrakurikuler PMR di MAN 4 Jombang? Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian studi kasus, adapaun pendekatannya adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun hasil pada penelitian sebagai berikut: 1) Proses internalisasi nilai- nilai PAI dalam pembentukan sikap sosial di MAN 4 Jombang dilakukan dengan cara keteladanan dan pembiasaan pada kegiatan sehari-hari di sekolah. Nilai-nilai yang di internalisasikan berupa: nilai akidah, nilai ibadah, dan nilai akhlak. 2) Sikap sosial yang bisa ditumbuhkan melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler PMR di MAN 4 Jombang ini diantaranya sikap kerja sama, sikap solidaritas, dan juga sikap tenggang rasa. 3) Pada proses internalisasi nilai- nilai pendidikan agama Islam terdapat faktor yang menjadi pendukung dan juga penghambat dalam pembentukan sikap sosial siswa MAN 4 Jombang. Adapun faktor pendukungnya yaitu: pendidik, siswa, dan dukungan dari madrasah. Dan faktor penghambatnya yaitu: waktu dan jadwal yang saling bertabrakan.
