Abstract

Resource allocation in the production process are important things that need to be considered to achieve optimal production levels. Production optimization problems are still an obstacle for most businesses operating in the food sector. One of them is the “Taufik Tempe” business which produces tempeh in three different sizes, namely large, medium, and small. The business owner finds it difficult to determine the amount of production according to market demand and minimize production costs for maximum profits. This research aims to solve the profit optimization problem of “Taufik Tempe” with appropriate production allocation to achieve maximum profits. The method used is the method of data collection and data analysis. Data collection methods include field studies (observations and interviews) and literature review. Meanwhile, data analysis uses the simplex method and uses MATLAB software. Data analysis techniques using observation and interviews. Meanwhile, the research results show that the maximum profit per month obtained is Rp 750.000,00 by focusing on producing only large-sized tempeh. Furthermore, by using MATLAB software the same results are obtained as using the simplex method but with a simple, effective and efficient algorithm, ofcourse with precise results and the use of this software aims to avoid calculation errors.

Abstract

Stunting is a serious problem in Indonesia. One of the factors that there are still many stunted toddlers in Tlogosari village, Sumbermalang, Situbondo, is the lack of knowledge in the community, especially teenagers, about the importance of maintaining a balanced nutritional diet and the old-fashioned way of thinking about wanting to get their daughters married immediately. This research activity aims to overcome and reduce the problem of stunting in Tlogosari village, Sumbermalang, Situbondo. By holding socialization regarding balanced nutrition and making processed Arema foods such as spinach, Moringa leaves and peanuts, it is hoped that this can be a solution for the samples in this study, namely toddlers aged 1-2 years. From research using linear programming calculations, with the brach and bound method, it was obtained that P1 (Arem-arem spinach) = 1, P2 (Arem-arem moringa) = 1, P3 (Arem areem peanuts) = 1 with the duration that stunted toddlers need to To overcome this problem, it was found that it takes 74 days for a stunted toddler to consume 1 spinach fruit, 1 moringa fruit and 1 peanut tree every day to avoid the problem of stunting.

Abstract

In order to maintain business continuity, the cookie production business requires several steps by creating a strategy for allocating cookie production after receiving orders and also promotions. This is because entrepreneurs often receive consumer requests that do not match their profit targets. Therefore, this research was carried out to determine the minimum number of orders that must be received for one production of cookies to achieve profits. To find out this, considering that the profit, production factors and products produced are closely related to linear programming, researchers used the linear programming method. This research was conducted to find out the optimal consumer demand to achieve profits so as not to experience losses in one production of cookies at Nur’s Cookies House Business. This research uses a case study type of research where the calculation process uses linear program calculation, namely the simplex method and the branch and bound method. The solution obtained is a combination of consumer requests or consumer orders that must be accepted by the Nur’s Cookies House Business to carry out one production, namely 1 recipe of Monde Jam, 1 recipe of Mawaran, and 1 recipe of Nastar to get a maximum profit of Rp 420.000,-.

Abstract

“Es Kul-Kul” production business located in a shop called the Muawanah Cooperative, is experiencing difficulty in maximizing profits due to changing consumer demand and challenges in determining the supply of raw materials needed. The owner continues to produce “Es Kul-Kul” based on the average daily consumer order, thereby sacrificing the efficiency of utilizing raw materials and capital. This study aims to analyze production planning to maximize profits from the sale of “Es Kul-Kul” at the Muawanah Cooperative UMKM using the simplex method. The research method employed in this study is a case study, with data analysis and processing conducted using linear programming, specifically the simplex method. The results of the study showed that the optimal production combination consisted of 50 banana-flavored skewers, and 100 strawberry-flavored skewers, with a total profit of IDR 800.000 per day. This approach has succeded in increasing production cost efficiency and optimizing profits, which is relevant for application to other UMKM. Possible further research is research based on optimization problems that occur in the surrounding environment with different methods and more detailed instruments to produce more accurate and realistic research.
